Elmer T. Lee I can’t seem to find Elmer T. Lee in my local spots. Have you found it in SE Michigan?
Had a bourbon flight at a great place near NIU while while visiting friends for Thanksgiving in Iowa and Elmer T. hooked me.
Maize Though I did start to like the look of the all whites. Give me the maize back. Or change up the old looking stripes of the all whites to a more modern look.
Nice, thanks for the Nice, thanks for the feedback.
Do the players actually drink

Do the players actually drink chocolate milk post workout?

I always thought when the players referred to post workout "chocolate milk" that they were actually drinking a protein shake or something along those lines.

Milk also contains casein protein which is a good, slow-digesting protein.

Or...

Let's just call Oregon Wally.

Or maybe it's the "OH NO YOU

Or maybe it's the "OH NO YOU DIDN'T!" face?

They were undersized the last

They were undersized the last couple years but it's amazing what actually having mostly upperclassmen on the O-Line can do for a team. Those couple years of S&C and nutrition can really help pack on the quality pounds. Lewan being the exception of course, though he did have a red shirt year behind him.

To add to this point, no one

To add to this point, no one has mentioned the fact that Big Will was just recently moved to O- Line right? 6'5" 331. Thassa big boy.

Will he be athletic enough to be effective or is he about to be a major bust? I bought into the hype about him when he signed and I've been disappointed he hasn't been a factor on either side of the ball yet.

Thanks

Thanks for posting this. I remember seeing a similar comparison a while back and I too am sick of hearing the same "he recruits small linemen" meme.

Any of these kickers eligible?

Photobucket Gotta be worth a shot at this point.

Thank you!

Nice. Also, helluva tag line

Nice. Also, helluva tag line sir.

Samsies...

Share your view on this. As I was reading the comment above thinking "Noooooooo. DON'T SAY IT!"

Holy crap!

I OMG'd out loud. I forgot how ridiculous that game was. By ridiculous I mean AWESOME. Gives a whole new meaning to "running the ball to bleed the clock."

Best...

Best tag line I've seen in a while +1 to you sir.

Oh Em Ghee

Truly fantastic work! Thank you for all the great info.

Thank you for starting this

Thank you for starting this conversation. I can't stand Pat Caputo.

Whether it's his stuttering and mumbling, or the way he ALWAYS interrupts and cuts off callers only to restate his own opinion, or the fact that he keeps hating on Michigan. I've been bitching about this guy since he's been on 97.1 The Ticket. I am forced to change the station when he is on. I actually feel bad for Dennis Fithian the way Pat owns the show and dominates the expressed opinions, while discounting anything Dennis says.

That's my Pat Caputo rant… I'm gonna go smash a radio and take a nap.

Looks like he's saving a

Looks like he's saving a crumb for later.

The Braylon beard is truly epic though.

"How can you say 8-4 is a

"How can you say 8-4 is a great season!?!?! ...RABBLE RABBLE… This is MICHIGAN!!! RABBLE RABBLE… we should NEVER go 8-4 and be ok with it….where's my torch and pitch fork?"

*sarcasm

I'm pretty partial to the

I'm pretty partial to the maize out. However, as long as you can get enough participation one way or the other it would be kick ass. The night game is gonna be total shenanigans! Can't wait.

Another view, if it pleases the court. Photobucket
Quality Post

Good analysis. When they showed the Time Of Possession last night I had to laugh at how quickly we score. I like Rasmus' "feast or famine" correlation, well put.

Also just another note, props for charting that school to the south in lower case letters. I usually prefer o$u.

As long as it's not Dr.

As long as it's not Dr. Pepper (with a KISS or Lil' KISS) of Cherry. I hate those ads.

I think another reason there

I think another reason there are so many “Wal-Mart Wolverines” (Myself included) is the fact that the University of Michigan is a difficult school academically in which to be accepted. I am a Wayne State graduate and lifelong University of Michigan sports fan. Unlike my sister who went to U of M, I sort of always knew it wouldn’t be in the cards for me due to my grades and test scores. I don't think this should make me exclusively a Wayne State athletics fan and somehow ineligible to be a Michigan fan.

How many Spartans were Michigan fans until they attended MSU and changed their allegiance?

This, combined with a very successful, perennial conference powerhouse football team with a VERY large fan base, makes Spartans envious of the fact that the fans who did not attend either university choose the traditionally more successful of the two.

Podcast? PODCAST!  Hooray for MgoPodcast! So glad you're back,

Great post

It's great to see I'm not the only one who wants to thrust a rusty spoon directly into my eardrum at the sound of this thing's voice. Also as mentioned above her not knowing WTF she is talking about while slaughtering players names.

I guess someone had to post THIS so it might as well be me...

My seats were row 60 on the South end of the stadium. It was nice being able to hear the band and the RAWK music. Of course there was a bit of a delay but it's worth it to hear "The Victors" blasting proudly across the stadium.

Devin
Devin - "We think that Devin has proven that he's ready to play." He's at the point where he'll help win games this year.

Very interesting.

I'm Thinkin' Denard

Denard starting against UConn is beginning to make more sense to me. Tate has been "banged up" all spring long and his commitment has been called into question by his own senior teammates. We know Denard has improved his passing and would run the shit out of our offense.

I pray the team is in a

I pray the team is in a position to redshirt him. To me that would mean we are looking real solid this year into possibly next year with Tate/Denard, meanwhile securing a nice long future with a seasoned DG when he finally takes the reigns.

Though I can't resist

Though I can't resist reading, I get so annoyed with the amount of "coach speak" these camp press conferences consist of. I understand that he can't divulge too much or the press goes nuts over every word or implication. However, it's the same thing every week. "They are in great shape" or "They're competing." Isn't there some drop of info to quench our thirst?

As Jeffy Fresh pointed out it is nice to hear coach being positive about this team and camp. We are used to hearing "We've still got a long way to go" and the like.

Is it camp yet?

Butthead: (Snicker) Hey Bevis, Angelique said "In and out, in and out…"

Bevis: HeheHmm, Yeah and Snyder said "Thing."

Great job Tim, that must have been irritatingly time consuming. It was a fun read and I appreciate the effort!

Denard dials faster, but less

Denard dials faster, but less accurately. Often calling someone from the opposing teams secondary. Tate dials slower but dials those long distance calls with great touch.

Which would usually be quite

Which would usually be quite impressive, not so much in this case.

Hahahahaha, nice.

Hahahahaha, nice.

How bad ass does Woodson look

How bad ass does Woodson look with that black visor on in the Rose Bowl?!

So legit.

The look we have now is so

The look we have now is so classic, but I'd be cool with a little change up like that.

I think they're great if they

I think they're great if they are used in moderation or strictly for defensive stands and TD celebrations. I have even looked into purchasing one. It would be nice to have stadium of 100,000+ people be a bit more intimidating to our foes.

However, I highly doubt the tailgating masses would have the courtesy or self control to try and limit use of these things. I can see it getting out of hand. The constant droning of them would drive us all nuts and ruin the atmosphere at La Casa Grandé.

Yeah I've been listening also

Yeah I've been listening also and they are getting on my last nerve, but I can't seem to change the station.

Yeah I hear you,  I was also

Yeah I hear you,  I was also someone who clammered for a more exciting offense, you're right. However, what I mean to say is that there are more than a few people who would kill to have that old Lloyd-Ball back rather than be going through what we are right now. All the people who were against "this gadget offense that could NEVER work in the Big 10." You don't think that MOST of the old-schoolers never wanted a spread offense? Big 10 country LOVES the pro-style conservative offense.

I just pray to GOD that we are good soon because I really enjoy watching this offense, and I don't want to go through another transition and suck for 4-5 years straight.

I understand conservative

I understand conservative football isn't too popular around these parts

Are you kidding?

Far too annoying huh? I was

Far too annoying huh? I was anticipating people would think so. Ah well. I still have a fever for cowbell. One thing that has to go though... the "Key Play"...Hey everyone jingle your keyless entry remotes!!!!

Stadium Horns

Does anyone know if collapsible stadium horns are allowed in the Big House?

I know they are a love em' or hate 'em kind of thing, but it could be great for making noise while we are on defense. I have no problem cheering until I'm hoarse each home game, but these could REALLY get under our opponents skin (I'm sure some of the "hand-sitters" would hate it as well, but hey I'm there to make noise and have fun.) I can see how it could get annoying but it's a thought.

An ex-girlfriend of mine

An ex-girlfriend of mine ended up going to her friends wedding alone because it was the same day as The Game in '08. Note: Ex-Girlfriend. Ha.

Well said, I feel the same

Well said, I feel the same way. I can't even talk Michigan Football with some of my fellow slap's anymore. It results in the exact same argument. We may as well be talking religion or politics. Frustrating.
