From MVictors website, a Yost quote, in a letter to Rockne: Creed has nothing to do with it. Three of the last four football captains at Michigan have been Catholic and many of my best friends are…

...if any Catholics played for Yost? |

...but if UM needs the skyboxes to pay off the remaining $230 million for completed renovations (as stated when they were justifying the skyboxes), wouldn't they need another revenue stream to cover an additional $250M? |
| 1 week 2 days ago | So...were we lied to then? |
That whole story about skyboxes being an absolute necessity to fund stadium renovations looks like bunk if the athletic department can afford an additional $250M already. |

...if we hang onto the Rose Bowl. Any tourney will be less valid than the AP vote if the Big 10 and Pac 12 are excluded form it.
I don't believe that's what will happen, but that's what would happen if we stuck to our guns. I just don't think there's enough money in maintaining the Rose Bowl. |

If the one Alabama fan living in my neighborhood is any indication, there never was a chance of flying under the radar. Before the game was ever discussed, I'd heard about "freakin' Tom Brady" several times. You'd think Michigan's come-from-behind, overtime Orange Bowl victory was last year. |

I'm not sure about kinesiology, but for many fields (my perspective is from engineering) you shouldn't just pick the school, you should pick the specific advisor you want to work for. Grad work focuses on one very small aspect of a field; one specific topic. You need to work for someone doing something you are interested in. Also, where they are in their own career is a big deal too. There's often a trade off between new profs that don't have much funding, but are very driven to get more (and can tend to micromanage) and established profs that have plenty of funding, but might require you to be more self-sufficient.
Also, your advisor's connections will likely be your best leads when it's time to look for a job when you're done. |
| 5 weeks 6 days ago | Unfit to coach |
Seems like another opportunity to remind people about Breaston from the "Bielema is morally unfit to coach college football" writeup. Old news, but as long as Bielema is coaching, I don't want to forget it.
This is not an isolated incident. In 2006, Bielema's squard came to Michigan and lost its only game of the year. During one play, Badger defensive back James Kamoku found Steve Breaston lying on the ground after a punt return. Komuku, thinking he was at the bottom of the pile and could act without consequence, viciously wrenched the prone Breaston's knee after the play. It was an act that had nothing to do with football and had no purpose other than to injury an opponent, perhaps very seriously. When Ohio State linebacker Robert Reynolds attempted to injure a helpless player in 2003, Jim Tressel suspended him for a game and said the assault was "totally unacceptable and has no place in intercollegiate athletics." You can argue he was too lenient, but he did at least take some action. Bielema, when informed of Kamoku's play, took no action whatsoever. Either he decided to send the message that such behavior should go unpunished, or he actually teaches it. |

edit: Can't believe someone didn't like this video. It isn't often the topic of Glasgow Football comes up and this video is one of the greatest bad videos ever. |
