Also that picture makes it look like he hangs out at the half pipe.

Mr Sankey, how is that possible that the SEC supported the move to a four team cfp since that adds 10 days to the season of two teams thereby requiring those teams to spend more prep time? Further, at least some of that prep time occurs over a students break. What about the sanctity of the students off time?

Bettencourt is his best pro playing partner and its not even close. Harbaugh just needs to give him a little Rudock coach 'em up treatment - Start off shaky, get better in middle and by the end pretty darn good.

Or he did ok on a couple of holes where the pro blew up.

From a quick search, looks like we first played 1898. Of course, maybe you're referencing the 119-0 thrashing of 1902.

1) I'm not equating Michigan to the Browns.
So not the same, but way back my dad used to say this about the Browns over the Steelers. At one point in the early 70s, the Browns led the series something like 35-13. Since then, the Steelers have pulled ahead making the overall record 70-58.

His penchant for getting top assistants on top of the scenario you laid out, would mean the program would be extremely strong with lots of coaching tree candidates to continue the success. Nothing guaranteed, but that would be about the best coaching transition scenario imaginable.

Looks like he couldn't help himself and he took the Bates, hook, line and sinker.

Apparently not far enough. Sounds like section 8 material to me.

So a 2016 greyshirt and a 2017 early enrollee are essentially the same thing from a football participation perspective? But the greyshirt has to pay their own way for fall semester 2016 (or I suppose could wait to enroll in winter 2017)?

Not sure how Powerball works, but normally the "face value" of the jackpot signficantly overstates the actual present value. The pot is normally paid out in equal amounts over 20 years with no interest. So the $800 M is actually a series of 20 annual $40 M payouts. Because of interest, I could invest something significantly less than $800 M today to generate that stream of payments.

They gave you life and in return you gave them hell. And for that you're just going to reimburse your parents for their costs incurred while raising you? Seems a little on the cheap side.

I'd build a complex for the Michigan athletes complete with an indoor putt-putt course. It would include a dorm like Kentucky has for its bball team.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||If I understand the idea, it||
If I understand the idea, it is essentially two divisions with 4 guaranteed opponents in your division and 2 games that rotate between the other 3 divisional teams. And 3 in-conference, non-divisional games rotated among the 8 other division teams.
Didn't the rule about having to have divisions to have a conference championship game get changed? If so, 2 protected games ever year (one home and away to fix Brandon's mess), then rotate the other 7 games amongst the remaining 13 teams. So, on average in four years, you'd about play all non-protected teams once at home and once away.
First place team is one with best record and tie breakers. Second team in the championship would be the team with the best record that hasn't already lost to the first place team.

As I understand it, a grayshirt comes in for one year w/o a scholarship with the understanding that they'll be put on scholarship the next year. A couple of questions about this. Is it a guarnteed that they got the scholarship later on? Why would a school want to do this as it detracts from the numbers available next year. Is it because they offered a scholarship and it is a middle ground between being part of the class and being told to take a walk?

This is like a rant, but positive. Is there a word for that?
While I am hopeful, the familiarity of statements like "Don has been driving a Honda and now will get the keys to a Porsche" are unsettling. Many similar statements were made when RR came here, hopefully this time they turn out to be true.

So, now we're hoping that he can pass O'Korn to be the starter. A few minutes ago we were all sure he was an all-star in hiding. Is it unlikely that he becomes the starter? Yes. Is it a big leap? Yes. Is it impossible? No.
I'm hoping he can reach his potential (whatever that may be). And I'm also hoping Michigan has high quality play from the most important person on the field.
|6 weeks 2 days ago||So, if he stays next year, he||
So, if he stays next year, he earns his degree from Michigan and gets coached by one of the best, if not the best qb gurus. If he leaves, he doesn't graduate from Michigan, gets coached by someone other than Harbaugh and has to sit out again.
Seems like the only reason to leave would be to have a year under your belt with the new team before pushing to start in '17. But, that dwarfs in comparison to the benefits of staying. Seems like pretty much a no-brainer.

Interesting how something like "i'm not ready to count him out yet" got translated into somehting like Shane "is an all-star QB in hiding".

|6 weeks 4 days ago||The arguments regarding the||
The arguments regarding the predictive statistics seem unfounded. "they said the chances of Harbaugh coming were around 15-20% when they were clearly much higher in reality". How do we know they were much higher in reality? The fact that it happened doesn't prove the predicitive probabilities wrong. What we're the odds Michigan stops Minnesota on the last goal line play? Clearly it wasn't 100%, but yet that happened. Further, even though their odds were lower than others, how do we know the others weren't overly optimistic?

So what keeps basketball schools from signing a bunch of "football" players and have the play basketball on the "side"? Maybe a larger roster is not manageable?
