Just kidding -- do NOT post these pictures as I don't want to suffer the wrath of Mrs. Stephen R. Kass.

Since this has kinda morphed into a coaching snowflakes thread, why didn't they just kneel on 3rd down to end the game instead of having Smith run. It turned out ok because he didn't fumble, but why take that risk? There were 40 seconds on the game clock and 1 second on the play clock when it was snapped. Why not take the delay, start the 3rd down play with 39 seconds left , take a knee and watch the last 39 tick off before having to snap on 4th?

B1G refs are bad. The ball Hollowell scooped up and ran back was ruled an interception on the field, despite the fact it clearly bounced, TWICE!

yes sir. Instead of having fun, it would be much better if the players were totally emotionless. I'm sure that would increase energy levels and certainly lead to more victories.

Downvoted because you graded Coach XYZ a "3" for demeanor when I think it should be "4"...or 2"
In all seriousness, interesting work. Seems like there ought to be one coaching success value. Proven Big 5 coaching success would allow a candidate to get maximum points. Success at other levels may be a proxy for success at the Big 5 level, but might be riskier as a predictor. Therefore, coaches with success at other levels, would not be able to the maximum "coaching success" points. If a candidate has success at other HC levels, then what is the relevance of coordinator success? Coordinator success only matters if there is not a better predictor of potential success as a Big 5 HC.

I was having the same trouble. Even the announcer credited Stribling (8) with a tackle that was Taylor's (6). I suspect for this very reason.

Did Chesson, K. Hill, Hurst or Henry play? Could be a sign of some physical practices, because I don't recall those guys missing time last week.

Isn't his age a potential benefit in this case? It might be harder to get a younger gun who has a long career in front of him to come and take over this tire fire because it might tank the rest of his career should things not go well.

Hard to look at his record at OK State in the abstract. His 28-21 in four seasons includes a 4-7 mark the first year. I have no idea what talent he inherited, but the first year a new coach is pretty much saddled with what he inherits. He was 24-14 after. Also, the four years prior to Miles, Okie St, was 21-24 (13-20 the 3 years prior. Four years prior was an 8-4 year that appears to be an anomaly, but was included lest an accusation of cherry picking the time line and to be consistent with Miles’ tenure) . Further who cares if he has “only” got eight years? That seems plenty of time to right the ship and get the program where it belongs. If he is ready to go after 8 years, you've got time to make an orderly transition.

I don't see the Miles option as a "CUZ MICHIGAN" option from the school's perspective. He has won a NC, has keep his team near the top of the most competitive division/conference in college football. From Miles' perspective, a strong reason for him even to consider us is "CUZ MICHIGAN" ties.

At first I thought you had a typo for available, but then I caught on to your genius. The "Avail-a-bell", like a taxi cab light on top of the helmets. If the helmet is part of a impact of certain magnitude or if the eye in the sky suggested by justingoblue above believes a player needs to be evaluated, the player's "off duty" light turns on. The player is not eligible to participate until an evaluation occurs and his light is turned off. Brings a whole new meaning to lighting someone up.
