Agreed. I would make two changes and invert the order with lower rated players on the left and higher rated on the right. Also invert the color scheme so the more questionable recruits are red and the 5-stars are blue. As in the top rated "blue chips".

We are talking about a 5-star and high 4-star. If they play the way they should their JR/SR seasons, there is no way they stay five years anyway. They should most definitely not be "saved" for future seasons.
What service has them ranked top 5? Not any of the major reputable sources like Baseball America, Fangraphs or MLB Pipeline, which has them middling in the 10-15 range.
I'm in grad school at KU and went to the game in Lawrence a couple weeks ago. KU rolled them bad. Not very good shooters, lousy free throw shooters. When things go bad, they go real bad for them. SEE: Big 12 tourney game getting trounced by Baylor. They played well at home, not so much on the road. On a neutral site we should have a big advantage.
Admittedly, they are inherently flawed, but...since it's the only way to measure players before they actually hit the field, then it's what we have to use.
Look at Carr's last three classes vs. RR's three classes. You will see that the RR classes compare favorably according to the rankings.
But, as everybody knows, when you lose a bunch of the top guys (Turner, LaLota, Vlad, etc. on and on).
Losing that many guys hurts. Especially the top 4 star guys. Some is just bad luck, some is normal, but as documented by others, we have an inordinately high number of players leaving the program early for whatever reason.
I have long wondered how many recruits are actually influenced by boards like this. Between academics, the current state of the program, coaches, location of the school, etc. it seems there are hundred other things they are more worried about (and should be for that matter).
I tend to think that this or any other blog plays a minimal role in recruiting, if at all.
Does anybody have any links that show recruits talking about message boards and if/how it effects their decisions?

We just aren't keeping them around long enough to develop into older, bigger, more experienced players.
But not starting? Does that mean he comes in at the end of the 1st quarter? Only if Huyge struggles? That will be an interesting storyline.
