It has been the norm for the…

It has been the norm for the last 14 years for Michigan fans to be incredibly pessimistic(and, in some years, very rightfully so) but I have seen a lot of fans grow into negative caricatures season in and out.

They have predicted depressing seasons but complained when Michigan met their expectations. They have watched Michigan jump out to a great record and refused to enjoy it, saying things like “I’ll wait until they play a “real team” until I pass my superior judgment”. They have grown cynical to the point of not enjoying winning streaks or early season success. They have seen three 10-win seasons under Harbaugh(along with 8 and 9 win campaigns) but focus on 2020 and any OSU game that was out of reach. They were there for 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2014 but act as if losing a game is some kind of unknown commodity. They nitpicked Denard’s passing but never seem to recognize his 2011 season and overall program accomplishments. They forget about the JT spot and the Gardner broken foot 2pt conversion game. They’ve seen other blue blood programs have significantly less success than Michigan over the last 20+ years but act as if the Wolverines are some kind of wrecked reclamation project that will never see fruition.

I’m all for being cautiously optimistic(it’s great for your sanity) but I’m not at the point where I can’t appreciate when a season is going well. I want to see Michigan beat OSU and everyone else and win the conference and national championships and cause Paul Finebaum to bolt-lock his medicine cabinet. But if they don’t, I’m still happy to see the team I root for win games and their players experience joy.

It’s nice that I can tell…

It’s nice that I can tell who’s drunk as shit in these comments.

You can stream the ATL game…

You can stream the ATL game on aaf.com. It's not actually terrible so far.

I remember when we were…

I remember when we were hyping up Ricardo Miller like he was going to be the next Jerry Rice ??‍♂️

Tyrone Wheatley and Chris…

Tyrone Wheatley and Chris Webber for making me Michigan fans in the first place.

Charles Woodson...because he's Charles Woodson.

Denard for making the dark times somewhat enjoyable.

DPJ did the Saquon…

DPJ did the Saquon celebration LoL He's keeping up his endzone celebration trolling.

These games are ass.

These games are ass.

I remember a blog called Bo Schemblogger. Am I imagining things? I thought it was the most epic name for a Michigan blog ever.
That's just it though... ...all the Lebron haters can do is "imagine" and play the "what if?" game. Who cares about what they'll look like next year? THIS year LeBron defeated them in seven games with only one guy who would start for another team.
This argument always makes me laugh Kyrie hasn't played since march and Hayward hasn't played since the first half of the season opener. Yet, Boston still managed to have the second best record in the conference and not lose a single home game until last night. While Irving and Hayward are certainly great players, the Celtics haven't exactly been struggling without them. Stop trying to diminish Cleveland's win.
Interesting I've seen a few people comment about his political opinions. I've always been curious as to why fans care so much about what a player, coach, entertainer, etc has to say in regards to politics. They're citizens just like us. I don't have to agree with their "ideals" but, then again, I don't really care about their "ideals", either. I just watch the game and cut the deck.
I'm just wondering how no I'm just wondering how no team has found a use for Khalid Hill yet.
So...we're gonna die? So...we're gonna die?
This always seems like a This always seems like a touchy subject around here. All of the Fab Five members didn't take any money, only Webber did. So why is everyone so against hanging the banners when only 1/5 of that starting five did anything wrong? Not to mention, guys like Pelinka and Eric Riley, who were also part of those championship game teams. Shouldn't they be recognized for their contributions? I know that a lot of people take a holier than thou approach when dealing with "controversial" issues but come on.
That's my hometown There are plenty of individual Michigan fans that live there but there isn't a "Michigan Bar".
Liberals? ✔️Snowflakes? Liberals? ✔️Snowflakes? ✔️Abortions? ✔️

Yep, you hit all three of FoxNews' deflective talking points. None of those things have anything to do with gun violence but, hey, have fun arguing with anonymous people on a Michigan SPORTS blog about politics.
The 1:47:00 mark though.... Listen to the fans.

Damn.
LoL Going to Florida isn't horrible. You make it seem like he picked Texas State or something.
Where dead pharaohs have sex. Where dead pharaohs have sex.
Smh That's the spirit. Call the players you root for "pricks" for having the audacity to shoot a 3 point shot in a basketball game.
Glad you're not in charge, oh Glad you're not in charge, oh wise armchair coach.
For fuck's sake You people need Prozac. Or you need to lay off the alcohol during games.
You folks need to stop You folks need to stop drinking and go to bed. Did your entire future hinge on two unranked teams playing in the Outback Bowl?
A failure all the way around? It's not the season I hoped for but we still have a chance to end with nine wins.
And Jordan Kovacs Forgot about him. I'm ashamed.
Rich Rod I understand the dislike of his tenure completely but I don't understand the exaggerated venom thrown his way by some Michigan fans to this day.

His crime is that he didn't win enough. But some of you act like he screamed "Fuck Michigan" while pissing on the Big House's 50 yard line on his way out the door. Brady Hoke regressed every single year and wasted the development of one of the most physically gifted QBs that Michigan has ever seen(following his amazing run replacing an injured Denard in 2012) but you aren't loudly rooting against him and laughing at his failures.

I was excited for him taking over because he represented something I had never seen in all of my years as a UM fan(besides Carr's last game vs Florida)-an innovative, new school offense featuring those fast QBs that always used to beat the Wolverines. Unfortunately, UM's defense completely tanked and the offense could only show flashes of greatness. It didn't work out but we did get positives like Denard, Gallon, Roundtree, Hagerup, Dileo, Schofield, Lewan, Toussaint, Gardner, Martavious Odoms, Omameh and Jake Ryan. And he held on to Demens, Mike Martin and Koger from the 2008 class. I'm not a fan of his run in any way. I think it was the suckiest of all sucky eras in my lifetime. But I'm not completely placing the blame on RR. There were plenty of people who had their hand in him not working out. Having to start your year with Nick Sheridan as your starting QB doesn't help, either.
Tough crowd I loved TLJ and TFA. They're expansions to a franchise that I was raised on. Growing up, I never thought I'd ever see Hamil, Ford and Fisher in a SW movie again. So to see them reprise their roles and usher in a new generation of characters was great for me.

Reading some of these comments, there is nothing that Lucas, Disney or Jesus could have done to make you like these movies. You were prepared to hate them before they even dropped. And that's sad because yo until around 96-97 we didn't even think we'd get to see another SW film.
For the same reason that any hypothetical exists. There are people who love to ponder "what ifs", especially if it pertains to the a team that they root for. I, personally, don't dwell on woulda shouldas but I can still wonder occasionally what life would have been like if Shawn Crable didn't hit Troy Smith out of bounds and Michigan would have gotten the ball back. It's just good banter.
Tough crowd LaVar makes it increasingly difficult to root for his kids, no matter how soft spoken they may be(well, two of the three are mostly quiet anyway).

That said, LiAngelo is the only one who can make the decision to leave school. He's an adult. We all know his dad is the one pulling the strings but we can't fault an adult for making a choice regarding his life. It wouldn't have been the choice that I would have made but I'm not the one who committed a stupid crime in another country which caused my college career to be in limbo.

People are getting too caught up in their feelings when it comes to LaVar and other polarizing public figures. And it causes a trickle-down effect that leads to them hating anything even remotely associated with these figures: Their friends. Their employees. Their family. Etc. Opinions are fine but the level of venom wasted on loudmouth celebrities should be reserved for the real bastards of the world, not glorified "stage moms".

I don't know about that I'd say 4-5 years before they're a contender NATIONALLY(meaning one of the higher end, non-CFP bowls). He instantly made UCF competitive. It's not hard to imagine him doing the same in a division where the only consistent threat is Wisconsin.
Meh I guess I've become really good at ignoring people. Facebook will do that to you.
Joey Galloway is going to cry in the car LoL He's livid! Hahahaha
Based from your emotional response It would seem that YOU care LoL

Come on, man We went 3-9 that year and our starting QB for the year was a walk-on. I'm frustrated, too but not to the point where I'm comparing this year's situation to the worst year of Michigan football in my lifetime.
I live here My son had a soccer tournament in Hilliard this morning. Those kids had heart playing on that cold, slushy field with giant snowflakes slapping them in the face.

Are the refs paid by Are the refs paid by commission for how many penalties they call? Sheesh.
I love this defense Michigan's defense will continue to produce NFL draft picks and high caliber recruits. Our offense is...terrible. But it's "one play away" terrible instead of "insane, zero star recruits, raging dumpster fire" terrible. I guess that counts for something. Either way, the second half offensive gameplan may have worked if it weren't for Trash Tornado 2™. Five turnovers in a 4 point loss means that the defense handed the game to their offense on a platinum platter with a bouquet and a thank you note. The offense couldn't/didn't execute and JOK threw eleventy billion INTs. But our defense will punch anybody in the mouth.
Speight SIAP I couldn't make a new post but unconfirmed(of course) reports are saying that Speight is out for the year with an injured vertebrae

It was Tiller Tiller is the one who called RR a snake oil salesman in response to Roy Roundtree switching from PU to UM on signing day in '08. I always liked Joe and took his words as just something that old men say.
Needs moar exclamation points Needs moar exclamation points
I know it's an auto-correct issue But I swear that Open will be one of the nicknames I have for O'Korn for the rest of the season.
We had some big plays. The We had some big plays. The problem is that our two redzone visits didn't end in touchdowns. Instead of a 17-6 halftime lead, we're only up by a field goal. The offense has primarily been ass but they've played well enough to have opportunities to make this a controlled game. Michigan coaches have made halftime adjustments the last two weeks that have resulted in the team putting the opposition away. I think people forget how young this team actually is. And, despite that, we have managed to make the necessary adjustments to win the game. I'm concerned like every Michigan fan should be but I've actually been given reason why Michigan should win any game they play(no matter how much they might struggle)for the first time in 11 years.

And as I was typing this, DPJ ran a punt back for a TD. Go Blue.
I agree Playing against triple option teams can be extremely frustrating but this isn't exactly Tommie Frazier and Nebraska that Michigan is playing tomorrow. If this was some kind of unstoppable offense, the playoff teams would be Georgia Tech and the service academies.
Their job? Coaches, yes. But the players are student athletes.
