I hope Fleet finds success on the field and beyond. I was looking forward to watching him do his little routine before each kick off. Unfortunately, it will be my only lasting memory of young Mr. Fleetwood.

Dennis Fithian (the real one) also tweeted that Kyle Whittingham was ON campus and presumed to be our new coach.
Pull it together, Fithian.

Everyone should "tryout" for their position, each and every day. I've been in sales for 30 years and I look at each new day as 3rd & long. Why would KH be bummed out about having to compete for his spot?
Good luck, kid. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Back in the mid80s (if I remember right) there was a Cadillac dealer in Dearborn that was giving away a free Yugo with the purchase of a new Cadillac.

Early 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. I really wanted to buy this car because I liked the styling, the size, and especially the engine. I went to a dealership to test drive it and it was the most uncomfortable driver's seat I had ever been in. I was supremely disappointed. Instead, I got the Buick Regal Grand Sport with the supercharged engine. Loved that car.

I can't remember exactly which I learned on first; a dirt bike or an old VW beetle. Since then, I've owned a bunch of other manual transmission vehicles: motorcycles, a VW Van (lime green, baby), and a sports car-type thing. I tried teaching my wife but that didn't go so well.

Normally I would say Ohio State, but we have to get past MSU to make The Game mean something more than just bragging rights. Ohio State is the reigning national champs. Meanwhile, Dantonio has worked that fan base into a lather. Time to teach them some manners

I've been a loyal watcher, but sometimes it takes more effort than I think TV should require. I don't like rewinding segments so I hear what the hell a character said.
I like TD. However, I don't think it's some sort of landmark, trailblazing series that changed television forever (as I've heard ot described).
It's a show, for God's sake.

I don't even know the last time I bought a razor. I take my wife and daughters hand-me-downs. I don't use shaving cream either. As soon as I get out of the shower, I shave at the faucet, rinsing the razor with hot water after each stroke. Takes less than a minute, start to finish.

Actually, I only buy American. Current cars: '15 Equinox, '10 Ford Fusion, '04 Chevy Trailblazer with 236,000miles on the clock. Former cars: Dodge Caravan, Chrysler T&C, Ford Expedition (2), Ford Mustang, Buick Regal GS, Buick Skylark (for my son), Jeep Liberty (for my daughter. Engine went to shit at 100,000miles. Imagine that.)

The arms race to build bigger, fancier, more appealing dorms/classrooms/labs/libraries/cafeterias has something to do with it.
IMO, Michigan and many of the "blue blood" type universities were content to house kids in South and West Quad and let them work out at the IM and CCRB. In my opinion, they felt the educational experience was neither enhanced nor dimished by such frivolous amenities as state-of-the-art workout facilities* or gourmet cafeterias. However, other schools started attracting kids to their schools with shiney new things. My daughter goes to Alabama. Her dorm room was a 4 bedroom/2 bath suite with living room and kitchenette with Wifi and cable. Their student activity center is as nicer than Lifetime Fitness. Compare that to my son's room at West Quad and the IM weight room.
I think it parallels the race for new athletic facilities as part of the recruiting pitch. Before Schembechler Hall, our locker room wasn't any nicer than your average YMCA locker room. Crappy stained carpet, little metal stools, and yellow painted metal mesh lockers. The meeting room was painted cider block walls, old school desks, and industrial tile floor.
*The IM and CCRB are an embarrassment. I realize they are working on them now, but it is long overdue. Fielding Yost championed student workout/activity centers because he believed it was as important to excercise the student's body as it was their brain. Alabama's "oldest" facility is about 30 years old and has been updated TWICE. Ontop of that, they added a second, 3-story facility with rock climbing wall, track, cardio equipment that looks over the Black Warrior River through floor to ceiling windows, and a cafe. It's one of the few things I've ever emailed the administration about because I feel like Michigan owed their students more than what they were given, in that regard.

I ran into Peoples at a function in Ann Arbor the night before the Spring game. I had a chance to talk to him and he was a super nice guy. It was loud in the cigar bar, but I believe he told me about a brand new baby he just had. He was all smiles.
I didn't know DPJ was his son. I hope pops can pursuade him to come to the good guys.

It was my mom's car but I got to use it in high school and up at UofM. It had a 350 in it which I topped off with a Holley Carb. IT didn't really make it go any faster. I wish I had that car now.
It was a great first car because it was free. It also had a big hole in the driver floor board which could be convenient at times, I suppose. The trans started to slip and within a week, it wouldn't engage at all. We ended up giving it to my step-dad's mechanic for a few hundred bucks.
