I feel like your definition…

I feel like your definition of “reasonable” is different than most everyone else here.

For instance, I would not describe your defense of your post in the face of so many opposing opinions and downvotes as “reasonable”.

So you concede that the pac…

So you concede that the pac champ is in, and the sec champ is in. That’s two spots locked ahead of osu.

There is no way they are in ahead of us, even if we somehow lost to Iowa.  3 spots locked.

The only possible scenario they get in is if Texas and Florida state both lose, and the committee ranks them higher than a possible one loss Washington and possible one loss Georgia.

A faint glimmer of a possibility?  Sure.  A “fair chance”?  Nah.

Still cant feel my feet.....

Mower winterized and put…

Mower winterized and put away.  Snow blower moved to the garage. Winterize the RV.  Fun times.

We should have had the…

We should have had the passing Rutger but for a bad spot.  The third and short pass completion Minny had to Spann-Ford was spotted as a no-gain but was a one yard loss (at least, maybe two yards).

How many games did he play…

How many games did he play in last year?   Possible that we are working on a redshirt year, but also saving his 4 games for opponents that might matter?

I would guess that when …

I would guess that when "National Champs" is the realistic goal, we just assume the Desperate Need to WIn Level is 11 for every single game.

Man I guess I’m the opposite…

Man I guess I’m the opposite.  I didn’t go there for the extras.  Plenty of places to go online to see that.  If I want football, I want football.

been a long time since I’ve been to TTB.  Maybe I’ll venture back.

Northwood has 2 D1 guys? …

Northwood has 2 D1 guys?  Nappanee is not a city, its a small town.  Well known for a large Amish population.  Northwood is a good program, might have to go see a game this year.  Welcome aboard Jo'Ziah!

Ending blackout restrictions…

Ending blackout restrictions on local games would be huge for me.  Where I live, I literally do not know of a way for me to get Tigers games.  I cant even pay for the mlb package, as I am about 10 miles within the radius to be considered "local", but I dont have the option to get Bally Detroit on my cable package.

Here's hoping to it getting fixed.

Not only the playing area. …

Not only the playing area.  Out of sight, out of earshot.  If the ump hears or sees the ejected person again, game is over.

I dont think that the…

I dont think that the question in the call lies with the fielders ABILITY to complete a double play.  it lies within the runner's INTENT.  If the runner accidentally interfered with the fielder, the runner is out.  If the runner is judged to have interfered with the INTENT of breaking up a double play, then we have two outs on the play.

Its hard to imagine a 9 year old runner having the presence of mind to try to break up two by interfering.

I’m the opposite from OP on…

I’m the opposite from OP on block/charge. Offensive players get too much right of way. 50/50 whomever arrives at a spot first has the right to that spot of floor.  Offensive players need to shoot a pull-up jumper instead of barreling through a defenders chest for a layup.

But my number 1 would be to eliminate fouling as a late game comeback method in basketball. Last 2 minutes of a game, a defensive foul should be offenses choice of normal foul shots, or one shot and possession.

I use it.  I find it…

I use it.  I find it accessible and a great way to get some coordination.  Good job!  For some reason, I just dont get Discord.  The invite link didnt work for some people, and due to past frustrations with Discord, I decided to not bother with it.

Which i get to a point.  I…

Which i get to a point.  I have played and followed at least a little bit each year on this game, and while I am not a Risk strategist by any means, we should by now see how things are different from board game Risk.  I think that holding regions is nice, but its difficult to do when teams dont have to worry about moving forces as you do in Risk.

The part about players not listening is legit, but the lengths needed to listen proved an annoyance to many players.  For me, it was discord. Maybe im old, but I just cant make sense of how to navigate discord, so I pretty much refuse to use it.  Apparently lots of others are in the same boat.  It seems that the system we have arrived at works REALLY well.  Lets keep it up!

For next year's game, lets…

For next year's game, lets remember how much of an ass kicking this quickly became when the Michigan team leaders eschewed alliances, and made it less of a complicated pain in the ass to play.

Lets go put a boot on the necks of the Buckeyes.

We have indeed been Charlie…

We have indeed been Charlie Brown a ton in this game.  Glad we arent anymore, as a result, im playing for the first time this year.  F pacts, lets go win.

Remember, probability has no memory.  Poor rolls in past turns does not indicate extra success is likely in the future.

I live in SB and I am…

I live in SB and I am currently listening to all the ND fans in my office discussing this news, and they are super excited to potentially be rid of Rees.

“Single solitary” is…

“Single solitary” is redundant and you shouldn’t be saying it anyway.

I could not agree more…

I could not agree more. Message boards in 2002 had this figured out. Yet here, we have to know some cumbersome extra step.

I think it’s Persi-Henderson-Crippen-Barnhart-Jones with El-Hadi and Anderson as backups.

Lots can change (and get super deep) if Zinter and/or Keegan come back.

Not quite as reliable as…

Not quite as reliable as Counterstrike, but I sat next to Edwards’ dad at the game yesterday (super nice guy) and he indicated that his son had broken a bone in his hand vs Nebraska and hopes to be able to play next week.

I do think that the second…

I do think that the second paragraph might be a bit more antagonistic than I wanted to get.  But, its there, ill leave it.

Regardless of your belief…

Regardless of your belief that an intelligent discourse can be had, I think that everyone here knows better.

But if you reaaaaallly want to start an intelligent discourse, please tell us all why 6 round magazines are the appropriate number.  Why not 5?  Why not 7?  Please show statistics and explain fully.

Also, there is some arrogance in your assumption that either everyone here is a UM alum, or that those of us that are not are not intelligent enough to have a discussion.

I think this falls squarely…

I think this falls squarely under politics in the way you presented your gun law opinions. I dont think this post has any place on a Michigan sports blog.  Head over to reddit with this.

There is no reason to…

There is no reason to suggest that unless there is evidence of it.  Suggesting it is awful.

And for those of you…

And for those of you interested in those SRO tickets at ND, I believe they are just about the best tickets in the house. The actual seats at Compton are super narrow, and those SROs are at the top of the lower bowl, on the concourse. Great view, and there is a small little countertop thing you stand along and can place food and drink, or lean on.

Concessions are back open at ND, and make sure to bring a mask.

The roughing the kicker…

The roughing the kicker mistake was no biggie at all. Go all out after the block, penalty be damned. The risk/reward there was block it and maybe get some points vs get the penalty and don’t give up any points as a result.

This so much. It was by no…

This so much. It was by no means a bad deal for the Mets. And on top of things, they saved enough immediate money back then to allow them to trade for Mike Hampton. When Hampton signed elsewhere after that season, the Mets got a compensation pick that they used to pick David Wright.

If the Mets had a crystal ball back then and could choose whether or not to make this deal, no doubt they jump at the chance.

Should have been done since…

Should have been done since the start.......

Some might say that trying…

Some might say that trying to suppress someone else's views while putting forth your own might just be a heavy dose of hypocrisy as well.

I feel like he reconciles by being the best fucking poster on this board.

His post was not about politics.  A big problem round here is that people have made COVID political, and if you disagree with the majority opinion here, you are accused of being political and violating rules.

Not speaking of moderation and bans here largely deciding that one political "side" is fine to espouse, while the other "side" is an infraction of the rules.  I am glad that a respected poster has spoken their mind.

Super 2.  The cutoff day for…

Super 2.  The cutoff day for that is apparently either today or tomorrow depending how things are rounded with the shortened season.

For those that are grousing…

For those that are grousing about the wait....Paredes is being brought up on the very day that makes his Super 2 (eligible for arbitration a year early) grey situation due to the Corona season.  Skubal and Mize are being brought up on the first and second days that Super 2 should not be a consideration.

I have been questioning our ally Nebraska, and how we have benefitted from that alliance.

I am very interested to see how they show themselves as our allies on this last turn.  There are some moves I see that Nebraska needs to make for sure.  A half dozen or so territories that they need to pour themselves into.

Mgoblog, endorsed by:  Every…

Mgoblog, endorsed by:  Every guy that starts a football or basketball game.  Put their name and face on the banner.

Allow users to contribute X amount toward player sponsorships.  You can pledge a flat rate, which the site gets a cut of, and the rest is used to hire players to endorse Mgoblog.  12 scheduled football games, 11 offensive starters, 11 defensive starters.  That is 264 available starts.  Every start by a football player earns 1/264th of the football sponsorship pool.

Or, Mgoblog offers to hire the top recruit that the staff offers each year, to sponsor the site for up to 5 years as long as the player remains on the roster.  Again, users pledge money and mgoblog offers to hire an endorser.

Somewhat facetious ideas, but the possibilities are interesting.
