4 of my 7 roommates went to strongsville, you guys always fielded solid teams in all sports

How about now that the media is blowing it up everywhere? The entire transcript is basically all on Twitter by now, recruiting guys are putting in their 2 cents. Recruits will get the diluted version, at least.

That's probably true, though Urban can sell taking a jersey kid in Eli Apple and making him a key player in winning a championship.

I think having his friends at UM will be a difference maker. Those guys have formed a nice pack, and having Johnson, probably Hawkins and maybe Gary at one school is a big draw
|1 day 1 hour ago||I don't think anyone has||
I don't think anyone has cooled on anyone, it's just a tight class with two WRs in it already. Next year has three likely marquee WRs in Ohio, and OSU already has a few Florida guys close to commitments so in anticipation of that class having a higher number of receivers, the speculation is maybe they're done for 2016. Make no mistake though, Mitchell is a great prospect, and I hope he doesn't end up being a victim of the numbers crunch, but that is the speculation out right now.
|1 day 2 hours ago||I think OSU is done at WR||
I think OSU is done at WR unless one of the top 5 type guys wants in: Nate Craig or Binjamin Victor, maybe one or two more. I really like Mitchell but it's unclear whether or not the staff would take any of the other WRs offered. I would be shocked if he ended up in OSU's class at this point, even if the staff would take a commitment I think he'll follow his buddies.

Haha no thankfully I got lucky in the student drawing and ended up pretty close. I've been there for other events though, and have never felt like I was too far away.

And basically none of Ohio's major football powers are farm schools: Massillon, SVSM, Wayne, St. Eds, Moeller, etc. etc. are all from cities of varying sizes

My high school had to play them twice in Massillon (we didn't have a home field) and their fans threw rocks and trash at our buses as we rode away

Exactly. If your girlfriend cheats on you, do you then just decide to cheat on any subsequent ones, because you've deemed it a culture?

It's hard to say, since the coaching did them no favors. But some of the best UM players in history have been from Ohio and despite the camp that was there, I think there's some worry that Ohio kids may stop looking at it as an option
|1 week 5 days ago||IIRC, the bell curve on the||
IIRC, the bell curve on the class ranking system standardizes at about 18 commits, so once you approach that number, the commitment must be well above the mean to significantly affect the rankings. Bush's composite ranking is about .5 above the mean so it would probably mean that Michigan would pass Ole Miss and maybe MSU to move into 6th
|1 week 5 days ago||But what kind of push has||
But what kind of push has Harbaugh made towards 2017 Ohio guys? OSU already has 2 of the top 5 committed, and 4 of the top 10. Notre Dame and MSU are already pushing in with offers and camp invites and it seems like Harbaugh hasn't even planted the seed with a lot of these guys. I don't think 2017 in Ohio will be quite as strong as 2016 but when it's all said and done there will be plenty of talent to go around.
|1 week 5 days ago||Right; OSU has basically a||
Right; OSU has basically a pick from the top guys in the state, so they haven't had to resort to sifting through the sleepers as much as UM and MSU. Other than a few guys like Darron Lee, OSU has left most of the lesser rated guys alone, while MSU has capitalized huge, and UM has cyclically ignored the population that have them Jake Ryan. It doesn't make total sense to me.
|1 week 5 days ago||If anything, I think UM's||
If anything, I think UM's relative lack of success evaluating Ohio guys has had more positive effect on MSU's performance. OSU has always taken the majority of the top guys, but from 2008-2012 MSU got Denicos Allen, Jerel Worthy, Marcus Rush, Kurtis Drummond, RJ Williamson, Connor Cook, Donovan Clark, Leveon Bell, Johnny Adams, BJ Cunningham and more while Michigan, who should've had a clear recruiting advantage, got Mealer, Toussaint, Jibreel Black, Jake Ryan, Courtney Avery, Frank Clark, and some guys in 2012 that haven't revealed the magnitude of their contributions yet.
|1 week 5 days ago||Willie Henry, Butt, Charlton,||
Willie Henry, Butt, Charlton, Frank Clark, Jarrod Wilson, Jack Miller, Ben Gedeon, Deveon Smith, Bolden are all examples of guys that OSU just didn't have room for or didn't get in on early enough or just liked UM better that are/can be major contributors, and that's not even including the top guys that both teams went hard for like D. Thomas and Kalis. It just doesn't make sense to me to withdraw completely, it makes your rival coaches' jobs that much easier.
|1 week 5 days ago||I'd say there are about 15||
I'd say there are about 15 really solid guys in Ohio this year, and a few more sleepers scattered here and there. Not really anything different than ordinary.

I may be wrong but I don't think Meyer did anything to get the suspension reduced, at least for the first infraction. The appeal process was completely on the part of Spence's family, and once the process had been completed, ties between Spence and the program were severed.
