There's also a women's soccer player suing Illinois for mishandling a concussion she had suffered.
I can't see their AD keeping his job much longer either, especially once the new chancellor is hired.

If you do a Google search for "Michigan logo" the first image that comes up is the split M. And under "Images" it's a complete mixture of block and split Ms. So there's no way to tell what's currently official. I'm guessing a recruit might pick the split M because the "Michigan" makes it clear whose logo it is.

Not sure of the exact dates, but those three games were played in 1866, either the spring or summer.
That's from the book Baseball at the University of Michigan.
By the way, the Michigan baseball program is calling next year's squad Team 150. It would be Team 151, except there was no team in 1917 because of World War I.

It's interesting too that he moved pretty quickly to commit. He was offered on Wednesday and committed on Friday.

PBR just bumped him up in their Illinois rankings, from #199 in the state to #69, so he's a prospect on the rise.
He's Michigan's seventh commitment for 2016.

Among the others with offers out to Amir Coffey is Minnesota, where his father, Richard, played collegiately in the late 1980s.
His two older sisters have also played college hoops, neither at Minnesota.

The scenario you raise in your last paragraph seems doubtful to me, based on my reading of his and his coach's comments in this article on his commitment to Cincinnati.

Still no word one way or the other on Jonathan Engelmann.

One other thing, and you probably already know this: while, yes, she's early in high school, recruiting-wise, this isn't early at all. Michigan already has two 2018 softball commits, and the trend especially in softball (more so than women's basketball) is toward very early commitments. That doesn't mean she can't take her time if she wants, but I'll bet she already has a number of schools recruiting and some offers as well.
|11 weeks 3 days ago||Yeah, it was ridiculously||
Yeah, it was ridiculously easy to figure that out with a simple Google search. Which is why I couldn't understand why he didn't post her name.
In any case, she is one of the top basketball prospects in Michigan in the 2018 class, but I haven't heard (yet) of any Michigan interest in her. Seems like she might be more likely to play softball in college.

Jonathan Engelmann hasn't reached a decision yet on his future, per this report.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||Article out today makes it||
Article out today makes it clear that Charlie Donovan will be donning a Michigan uniform:
Joe Donovan commiitted to Michigan last November, the first member of the class of 2017. Here's a feature on him that was published last month.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||Here's an on-topic connection—||
Harrison Salter, Blaise's younger brother, committed to Michigan in January for the 2016 recruiting class, so he'll be following in his grandfather's footsteps. And he's also a catcher. (There's also middle brother Will Salter, who just finished his freshman season at MSU.)
Harrison attends Orchard Lake St. Mary's, whose baseball team is coached by Matt Petry, son of another Tiger great, Dan Petry, who helps his son coach the team.
Bill Freehan, by the way, still holds the Big Ten record for season batting average (conference games only)—.585 (1961).
|11 weeks 6 days ago||Donovan||
Charlie Donovan, another Michigan signee, also goes late, in round 30. Good chance now that Engelmann and Donovan both end up in Ann Arbor.
|11 weeks 6 days ago||Engelmann||
First 2015 Michigan signee/commit to be drafted is Jonathan Engelmann, who went in round 28 to the Twins.
Evan Hill still undrafted, so it's looking like he might be returning for his senior year.
|12 weeks 1 hour ago||Maezes||
Junior shortshop Travis Maezes went in round 13 to the Royals. He's the 3rd Michigan player drafted, which is the most since 2010.
They're up to round 20, and Evan Hill still hasn't had his name called, and no member of Michigan's recruiting class has been drafted yet.

Bakich addressed Cronenworth's position in a new article. He also indicated he expects him to sign with Tampa Bay.
|12 weeks 20 hours ago||That's it for day 2. Through||
That's it for day 2. Through round 10, none of the Michigan signees/commits were drafted. The chances of the recruiting class remaining intact are improving.
|12 weeks 20 hours ago||Bakich said Glines could go||
Bakich said Glines could go late on day 2 or on day 3, so it's not that surprising for him to be picked in today's final round (10).
Regarding Cronenworth, Tampa Bay actually drafted him as a second baseman. He may be switched later to pitcher, but that's not where they're starting him out.
|12 weeks 22 hours ago||Seniors have little leverage||
Seniors have little leverage to negotiate, so it's highly likely that he'll sign.
It's also interesting that many people arae commenting that the Rays announced him as a second basemen, when most projected him as a pitcher at the next level.
