The nutty Michigan coverage isn't so much about Harbaugh as it is a signal to the Big Ten that Fox wants to party.

You can't not mention the obvious improvement from last year. I mean, we should have gotten blown out at home against these guys last year, and this year, we should have beaten them (providing Rudock didn't overthrow three touchdowns or throw three picks). Yea, at times this game had similar feel to last year, but these are the same players from last year.

That looks delicious to be honest.

Why couldn't we have added Syracuse if we wanted that market? Does anybody in New York really care about Rutgers.

The fact that a US District Court Judge had to nullify Tom Brady's suspension is further proof that the only reason Roger Goodell is still employed is because the owners only care about money. They don't care about the integrity of the game, its reputation, its fans, its players, just money.

Detroit Mercy is falling apart these days.

Granted he never played collegiate football, but he was an outstanding HS QB that likely would have been a highly recruited football recruit had he not been one of the greatest basketball players of his era, and also not crazy.

If we win a lot this year, I can't imagine how popular Harbaugh will be around here.

Sure no one is forcing these kids to compete so hard for playing time, but I guess you could make a case that some players upbringings are. You can't seriously convince me that all 85 scholarship players on each team are there to study, let alone are capable of being traditional college students on their own. So many of these D1 football athletes come from poor areas with one parent families and school districts that have sub 50 percent graduation rates that feature student bodies that average a third grade reading level. You think the majority of these football players are going to magically be able to academically succeed plus obtain necessary internships on top of football demands? It's not going to happen, which is why if you look at almost every D1 team, a huge majority of their players are enrolled in one program. Succeeding in sports is the main way these kids are going to get money, and you can't succeed if you don't get playing time. It might work at Michigan where guys like Vincent Smith have made an impact post playing career, but not with the majority of players at the majority of schools.

But Ann Arbor is pretty snobby, or at least that's the perception of everyone that I have met.

|2 weeks 4 days ago||Hugh Jackman||
I used to work at a small "waterpark" in the summer. It was a slower day in the middle of the week, and out of nowhere, this ripped guy with shades and a hat and I think two kids comes in. My co-worker immediately recognizes him as Hugh Jackman. Apparently he was filming Real Steel nearby and had an offday. Hugh was super nice. He shook our hands and took a quick photo with some of the staff. He was there for maybe 1-2 hours before other people started recognizing him. Once that happened, he left and booked it out of there in a black SUV.

Considering our depth at their respective positions, their size and athleticism, and Harbaugh's joy for moving players around to different positions, I wonder if K. Davis or even Victor Viramontes end up at LB if we miss on Caleb Kelley or Bush.

This 49ers team is bad, but the Lions 0-16 team was a special bad that takes years of losing and bad drafting to accomplish.

I can understand choosing to play basketball at schools like Kentucky, and Kansas over Michigan, but what does Indiana provide that Michigan can't?
|3 weeks 5 days ago||In the first four rounds||
Never reach for a player who is projected to be drafted outside the first four rounds. No matter how much you like the player, don't do it. There is very strong chance you have over-evaluated the player, and you are taking an unessesary risk at the expense of a proven player. Ignoring this rule is how I ended up with Cordarell Patterson in the 4th round last year.

I think their could be a few reasons for this:
Because of this resulting conservatism, law enforcement can come down hard on drinking. Also antiquated liquor laws exist. For example, in my school's state, liquor stores have to close on Sunday, and most non liquor store retailers can only sell beer that is under four percent alcoholic content.
Most of the partying gets done at tailgate, which is a much bigger deal down here than in Big 10 country.
