Fred Jackson Translation:
Aubrey Dawkins shoots like a better Nik Stauskas, and rebounds like a taller, faster, stronger, bigger, smarter, sexier, better Zack Novak

|12 weeks 4 days ago||Whatever||
If he wants to go to a school that has produced basically one NFL running back the past ten years despite getting all 4-5 stars, let him.

Pretending Cabrera doesn't already have a ring, Hall of Famers such as Ty Cobb, Ted Williams, and Ken Griffey Jr. don't have a ring either. Williams only played in the postseason once. All of those players have been or could be mentioned in arguments about the greatest player of all time. Several other Hall of Famers lack rings as well.
|17 weeks 1 day ago||The Lumberjacks||
In addition, the Lumberjacks should return a sizable chunk of their young team that almost made the playoffs. They could be pretty good this year. LC Walker has plenty of seats that need filled.
|17 weeks 1 day ago||Worked for the Lumberjacks||
Cecconi is a young defensmen who will still be in high school next year and thus won't play until at least the 2015-16 school year. Plays on the same team as Michigan commit Cooper Marody, both of whom likely will be back in Muskegon next year (so that's a USHL team all of you hockey nuts should follow). From what I understand from the coaches, he's got a a lot of growth potential, however his game at this point is very predictable.

I'm somewhat new to MgoBlog. If you don't mind me asking, how does one end up as deep in debt as you?
|18 weeks 5 days ago||Every GM||
Every GM makes a bad decision here and there, even the best ones. Fortunatly, Dave D's worst decisions haven't really hurt us that much.
Also, Dave D was the one that hired Leyland after everyone thought he was done and washed up. He also stuck with him and gave him an extension when many thought his job could be in trouble.
|18 weeks 6 days ago||Not to mention||
Not to mention that Leyland's team last year wasn't built to play small ball. No speed or defense to speak. Despite no bullpen, no defense, no speed, and an untraditional leadoff hitter, Leyland's teams always did well.

Nik Stauskas doesn't do what Nik Stauskas does for Nik Stauskas. Nick Stauskas does what Nik Stauskas does because Nik Stauskas is Nik Stauskas!
|20 weeks 1 day ago||In all honesty||
In all honsesty, I can't think of very many basketball players who found overwhelming success if they are 7'3" or over, except for Yao Ming, however he didn't last long. I don't get why people freak out over these oversized players.

The Lions may have to trade up. I've heard that players like the OK ST corner are available in later rounds, The Lions may not like Dennard, or want to reach to take him. The Linebackers available are more 3-4 types. And Evans may be gone or overrated. Therefore the Lions would have to pick a tackle which arguably they don't need.
Watkins on the other hand, is an almost shoe-in to have success. He could help spread out opposing defenses, while also taking pressure off of Megatron, keeping him healthy and useful the rest of his long term deal. Watkins could also provide insurance in case Megatron gets hurt, therefore our offense wouldn't be screwed.
If you look at the ages and contract situations the Lions have with their players, they are almost in all in mode for this season.

I don't get many chances to spend time with my little brother, I work on the other side of the state, and then will be off to an out of state grad school. However I would've been in town the Aug 2 week and my brother is a huge soccer nut. Do any of you know where I can get tickets (not a season ticket holder or UM student) or do any of you have two tickets you would be willing to sell at a reasonable price?
EDIT: Bought two tickets in section 5
|20 weeks 3 days ago||I've heard||
I've heard rumblings that it was Gores that forced Dumars to sign Smith. No evidence of this, but it wouldn't surprise me.
|20 weeks 3 days ago||I'm not fond||
I'm not fond of six straight Eastern Conference Finals apperences either.
|20 weeks 3 days ago||This team has talent||
This team may be a flaming s***hole, but he did leave it with some talent; enough to the point another GM might be able to build a good team fairly quickly.
|20 weeks 3 days ago||2004||
It's time for a change, but I for one am thankful for the great job he did early in his career. The 2004 championship team featured some of the best GM work in NBA history. Best of luck to Joe D in his future endeavors!
|20 weeks 4 days ago||Not yet||
Tell me in college that you were mature and always making smart decisions. College is about learning from your mistakes as it is about learning. Plus if there is any sport where a problem child can be succesful in, its the NFL, particularily at Wide Receiver. For example, Josh Gordon.
|20 weeks 4 days ago||What else is there to do?||
Near Ann Arbor and in Michigan as a whole, there is a lot to do and a lot going on. In Nebraska, Ohio, and Happy Valley, not as much.
|20 weeks 4 days ago||Shame||
I still remember hearing about how Pinkel showed up in a helicopter at DGB's high school during his intense recruitment. There's no evidence that this constant attention and praises he's ben receiving has effected him, but I wouldn't be surprised.
|20 weeks 6 days ago||Not the best hitter.||
Cabrera is the best hitter of his era, but he's not in the same tier as Ted Williams (hit 400 in baseball's golden age), Babs Ruth (who once hit 20+ home runs in a season more than the guy with the second most), Pete Rose, Willie Mays, and maybe Type Cobb.
|21 weeks 1 day ago||Not exactly unreasonable||
Stauskas is boarderline lottery right now. All it takes is a few really good pre draft workouts, camps, and maybe a surprise player coming back to boost him up a few spots. Likely, no, but it could happen.
