Fantastic news, especially in the wake of Khalid Khareem. Great news and hopefully this means big things for Jersey recruiting.

Agreed, but I think we can go ahead and figure on him going somewhere else this just seems like it's going to go that way.

Fantastic news. Glad we're getting a good refresh of the big uglies. Drevno looks like a hell of a recruiter.

On the one hand frustrating as all get out to lose out on yet another in-state kid(What makes it worse is bad in-state and Ohio recruiting was a hallmark of the late Lloyd Carr malaise).

It's on him to still win the job. I think he understood the depth chart and thought he'd at least get a fair shot here whereas Iowa stemmed to stack the deck against him.

Eh, I like it, it shows some fire and I can't imagine Rudock doesn't understand where he's coming from. Let them both go for it with everything they've got.

He just wants to recreate the experience of not making the playoffs in the pros, too.
|1 week 3 days ago||I thought the issue this year||
I thought the issue this year was that it was a down year for talent in Ohio, the recruiting class after they won the NC, so the battles for the high power5 level players are already over before they began, no harm in recognizing that and adjusting as long as it's not a pattern.

It happens all the time, there was a receiver out of Texas who committed to UCLA last year a week before signing day, but you could tell by his moms face that it wasn't going to last. He signed with Texas eventually. If a parent feels like they still need to guide their kid, then great. It's not like being a parent ends at a certain point. I was lucky enough to have parents who let me go where I wanted, not everyone dies.

Sucks, but have kind of been expecting this, as the scuttlebutt always seemed to be that maybe Mom and Dad weren't hugely happy with M as the choice.

That would be a shame, would really like to maintain a good presence in recruiting the state of Michigan, but can't blame the guy for looking given this recent wave.

Not sure about this particular incident, but his rudeness to stadium officials is pretty well documented in Three and Out.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||No need to worry about a neg,||
No need to worry about a neg, the concern is understandable. That said the coaches are still in on a lot of highly rated players and these were always going to be the camp commits we were going to see. I think there's a strategy to this and I lookforward to seeing how this plays out. If they go all sleeper all the time, I'd be a little concerned, but I don;t see it going that way and am happy they're getting in guys they've had a chance to see perform in person who are apparently good camp competitors. Throw in the fact that the roster is set up to give these guys a chance to redshirt and settle in and I can see this class providing a good foundation.
TL:Dr it's a long way to February, let's give it time and celebrate the guys who want to come here.

|2 weeks 1 day ago||Look, I never said I was||
Look, I never said I was going anywhere(next time read the whole bit) but if Jon really is dead, I know a lot of book readers who feel that way.
The story is compelling but enough beatings and people may not be entertained anymore. If this death really takes, then there really aren't a lot of characters to take on the banner of root for this person. Nihilism is boring and it isn't a lot of fun. You may not have a problem with the continued crushing of hope, but not everyone has the same taste. To be clear, I was not expecting "happily ever after", but bittersweet with some good and some bad would do nicely, the problem is that may not even happen and if I see/decide that is what's happening I will walk away thankful for the first three books, an incredible world and characters and the dunk and egg novellas, but also a little irritated by a somewhat lazy creative choice.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||I wouldn't be so confident||
I wouldn't be so confident about that. This was the scene that broke the patience and the wills of a lot of book readers. Most think there is going to be some sort of end game, but if there isn't I know a lot of people who are willing to walk away(and let's face it five years between books and progressively poorer quality isn't helping the case). Jon Snow' s storyline is one of the few heroic ones left and its not fun to see it torn apart. People have been taking a lot if hits recently and eventually the cost/benefit analysis is going to tip.the other way if there isn't enough.left to root for.
As for me I don't think he's all-dead, just.mostly dead and waiting for the right Miracle Max. It's because I have trouble believing he'd build up Jon Snow as such an important piece and then immolate him in order to really drive the whole, "life is horrible" point home. Jon's part of the endgame, just interested in seeing how it all gets pulled off.
