i see the wisdom of signing him, but i just have a hard time with a guy who drops as many balls as he does, and i don't remember him showing up much in clutch situations. they probably paid the a number that is at the top of my version of 'reasonable' for him. lets hope he overdelivers.

always overblown on the drama. some guy would miss a pass on the second set of downs and his team would do the routine punt. meanwhile musberger is commenting 'remeber that missed pass folks, it could be the single most important play of the game and the reason this contest slips out of the hands of...' spare me.

it snowed 3 feet one day. we kept the office open, employees could come in if they wanted to.
it's snow, not bullets, it'll be okay. just stay away from the idiots.

and real dumb. good luck 'cuddling' one.
once skinned though, their coats make excellent blankets. my kids love them.

did he ever get a shot at the bigs?

no doubt about it. the bigger 'pets' are steers and they are like a young O-line, getting bigger. the problem is that when they get finished growing, we, uhm, well, slaughter them so that 's a bit different....i guess you could say they go 'pro' though, since we sell them.
oh, and sheep are so dumb they make our cows look like Phd candidates.

love the old style uni's and goalie pads. goalies of that era were certifiably insane. sawchuk would throw up before every game, nerves, even though he was easily the greatest goalie of his era.

were long-time friends and got the first two boxes put up at the olympia back in the 50's. that was a big deal back then. i knew him only as a very nice man. when they built ford field my dad asked him about getting season tix and of course he obliged and had his secretary call my dad and ask him where he wanted to sit. our lions season ticket number is 00001. we've kept the seats.
when my own father passed a few years ago the fords attended the ceremony and were very gracious. we are losing that era of gentlemen (and gentleladies) and it is sad. May the Lord bless him and his family this day.

and played there (not enough), thank you very much.
and the state fans were not nearly as caustic as the ohio fans.

and isn't that nice that our favorite coach probably just lost any chance of his squad making the NCAA tourney. a 'two-fer'.

the state kid would want to get tonight off b/c we would've head-hunted him to the point of extinction. we had some decent enforcers back then too, we would've gotten the job done and it would be so good to get it done at home in front of our crowd. payday....

was in san diego, attended with dad and brothers, and they most definitely did not have the creamsicle uni's. they also brutalized the raiders which is a blessing given that raider fans tend to be a blight on the world, much like buckeye fans, but with longer rap sheets.
trivia: my cousin did play for tampa bay back in the day, in the creamsicle uni's for 5 (long) years.

i wasn't kidding about that, no snark in that word. switzer's comments are offensive, period. it is even easier to imagine how foolish and racist his comment was if you do switch the colors in his original, racist, comment.

replace the word 'black' with 'white' and imagine the righteous cries of outrage.
and there never was a more crooked program than the one b switzer ran.

i'm guessing that most schools have at least some minor violations every year, even our beloved school. any mgoblogger out there have an idea of the parameters of ours or, say, the 'average' D-1 school's problems in this regard?
