you really don't know which…

you really don't know which is the fun of the sale.  that's why you walk and inspect.  though some auctions are much different and the pedigree, for lack of a better term, is part of the sale.

yes, very funky on a firefox browser, fine on chrome or safari.  no idea why that happens.  i am merely pawn in the game of life.

Probably a couple hundred…

Probably a couple hundred folks in attendance yesterday, though of course actual bidders numbered Im guessing a couple dozen, maybe a bit more?

Sorting cattle can be…

Sorting cattle can be dangerous business. Yesterday there was one huge and ornery Cow, maybe the biggest cow I’ve ever seen. She was looking to tangle with whoever would get in her way. The yard guys were more like rodeo clowns, climbing up on the gates to get out of her way.

Good question.  Don’t know…

Good question.  Don’t know the answer but my guess is no unless there is some very special designation, or a special animal such as a very valuable horse.

had never even heard of the car.  not a lot of fancy cars up north.  very nice looking

go back a few years, like, to 1938.  my dad is 13 yrs old and working on the farm with family and they finish early so they can ride in the back of an old (!!!) ford farm truck on dirt roads, all the way to detroit.  they sit in the bleachers at tiger/briggs stadium, soaking in the sun, and skipping farm work that afternoon.

my, how things have changed.

that's a bummer re: fake bidding.  pretty sure that's a criminal offense for the folks that hoodwinked you like that.  there are licensing boards and some specific statutes, i would imagine in every state, that would take a very hard look at that.

for what it's worth, word is that hanes bought an old nag who went to the glue factory....

i've said it before, but the last time i saw your avatar was at the pizzarena.  he and my dad (and gordie) were buddies from way back.  i told him that dad had passed a few months prior and we had a nice chat.  dad always called lindsay 'scarface' for obvious reasons.  pound-for-pound one of the toughest guys to ever play the game.

i can see how EV's make sense for some folks, particularly city folks, but up here they are mostly lawn ornaments during a normal winter and there are zero charging stations.

at some point i would love to get a diesel-hybrid combo when they work the details out.  i expect that would be sick mileage and torque/power.

we live in the boonies and using a diesel car would primarily be for rural/country road/highway driving.  plus, i invariably get a bit more than the posted MPG for vehicles.  i'm guessing on a road trip i'd get 40 mpg in a Q8.

some reasonable IU  comments:

Maybe. We'll see if May fails at Michigan the way that Miller failed at IU.

I think a fair argument could be made that May IS different from Miller, though. May coached FAU up from absolutely zero. FAU was terrible before May. Miller, on the other hand, inherited a Dayton program that was already doing well. In fact, Dayton is STILL doing well, even after Miller.

I feel like some IU fans are throwing shade at May at this point just to cope. Or, to defend CMW. LOL.

First a prison guard, and then a police inspector, his character is defined by his legalist tendencies and lack of empathy for criminals of all forms. In the novel, he becomes obsessed with the pursuit and punishment of the protagonist Jean Valjean after his violation of parole.

no mention of canning warde in there, so no, not as of yet.
