like kelly mckrimmon and paul fricker? maybe even brad tippet and teddy spears. i think many of the guys are coaching at some level. steve richmond, brian lundberg, donny krussman. i've lost track of them over the years, but i bet one of the mgo-internet sleuths could figure it out.

one of our kids was scared to death of willie when we lived in the UP, and willie didn't kick anybody.

and though some may disagree about the 'style points' of posting the actual texts, the substance is critical. thank you.
incidentally, there is no 'violation of his rights' issue with showing a text, so don't worry about that.

jersey on those sausages and send them over to urbz next year when the kid hits campus. the implied threat: we will eat you!

but if it tilts one way or the other for a blow out, i say ohio would come out ahead. i agree with many of the posts here about why pulling for sparty makes sense. that said, i also get the whole 'meteor'' and 'sink hole' option too....

aren't grabbing me, so to speak. i think fister is an excellent big league pitcher. those two are servicable pitchers. not liking this trade so far.
|1 week 3 days ago||Mistake||
fister is an excellent youngish pitcher. in 2012 he was nails even though he didn't get any runs, this year he was excellent most of the year. salary cap may be the motive ($~7MM/yr in arbitration if he stayed), but they better have an identified target for that pitching slot.

and they all loved the game, even with the loss. attended the game with one of my sons who plays football and he had a grin on his face from ear to ear. when we got home hours later mama had let the other children watch the game and they too, though disappointed about the loss, thought the game was very exciting. they get the goal of sports is to build character and to have fun doing it.
at the game the ohio people around us were fine, no nut jobs, and that probably helped too. in fact, the only foul-mouthed fan was a regular who sits behind us who i had to remind that kids were around. he also ran over the son that was with me, trying to get the ohio football after the PAT. had to hold him by the collar and contemplate hitting, but he was instantly apologetic for his foolish move and i let him go.

if you're the lad's parents, don't you have enough class (and wisdom) to take that red crap off when your benefactor comes over to visit? i wish them well, but beyond health, they ought to pray for some brains.

i still remember that 'roll tide' comment from thanksgiving day. you're still grounded, and no X-box for you either.
seriously, you guys do a great job. like many things in life, there are always going to be boneheads. part of wisdom and discernment is knowing when and if you need to pay any attention to those people. here's hoping you get that filter set properly and quickly.

in the stands yesterday, to no avail. that throw was open all day. the who makes the call is the 'hummingbird', the player who is about 5 yds behind the center and just offset to one side. he audibles, the ball is snapped to the punter, and the punter makes that throw.

but a guy needs more than the 12+1 or 2 football games a year to survive, so what does he do the other 9 months of the year.
|1 week 5 days ago||Loved The Game||
despite the ending. thought it would be ugly and instead from the crowd, to the weather, to the fact that the offense finally showed up, it was a wonderful college football game. proud of our team.
would not have gone for 2, but i totally get why it was done. go blue!

bad guys. and if i wasn't a michigan alum, i'd give the 14 pts and bet the mortgage on ohio.
however, they play the games anyway, not just for predictions. will be taking one of my sons down to AA. go blue!

you are in so much trouble for saying that. no dinner tonight, go to your room. wait until your father gets home....

from the guy who started it all:
not sure why he didn't say 'go blue' in that address, but there you have it. you all have a great thanksgiving and remember those who went before us so that we could even have this day. and go blue, beat ohio!
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Not The Same||
kind of like cheesecake isn't the same as, say, manure? did smile at the comment about bo and woody both being age 61 at birth, and that he said michigan is better.
but seriously michigan, and particularly northern michigan, is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. full of clear streams, trout, salmon, moose, mountain lions, grouse and home to the great lakes. not the same. win or lose, they still live in a flat mud pile.

since i've had them since '80 and to take the kids. but there will come a day when they're older and gone that if/when we do this type of stuff again it will be buh-bye for tix. still be a michigan fan, but from 4 hours away we'll watch on the tele.

senior year, watched the game on the bench, walking off the field with my buddies as time ran out. victory in my last game as a student.

lasers and some missles, but nothing nuclear.
or, go 1 deep/4 under and send 6 guys all day to stop the run and prevent miller from scrambling. i still remember from 2 years ago when we beat them and he was a freshman. i was very impressed.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||A Few Reasons||
we aren't running it more, if i might chime in. first, we don't ever fake up the middle with the FB, so that leaves the traditional option out. speed option usually only works when its run more infrequently as a gadget play where there isn't alot of tipping off that it's coming - at least thats how we utilized it. second, we already are so pass-poor that teams are loading up 8 guys in the box anyway, so not a lot of daylight there either. third, devin does not appear to make decisions fast enough to pitch it or carry it and that presents it's own set of problems. granted that might get better with practice and he's a pretty sharp guy, but his confidence is such that he is hesitating on many decisions. lastly, as others have noted, he is taking enough hits. the option is a guarantee to tee off on the quaterback and nobody recommend that for devin.

and his fat can fell rounding third in the playoffs this year? besides the stupidity of the decision to run that route, watching him fall was like watching a clumsy whale beach itself. fat, grossly overpaid and underperforming, always choking in the playoffs. exceptionally good move to overcome this contract that could've sunk the franchise.
