i actually think that if you have a reasonable view of the low western horizon, light pollution won't wipe out the comet. the northern lights, on the other hand, tend to be much more limited.
i do get some plays from my college son whose having what will be his last spring training. love to see him hit. his team calls him the 'human missile'.

gratuitous post of a gif just so i could practice the awkward, non-sensical pain in the keester method we now have to post them. and apparently only giphy, no other method/source.
living some of that with you, rendezvous. gave FIL haircut and a shave today. sponge bath. clean shirt. then fed him what little he would eat. last stage parkinsons. every morning i expect to wake with a missed call that he's gone. praying for mercy for him. MIL is the one with memory issues but still fairly functional. for now.
the folks that we might have rubbed elbows with back in the day was pretty extensive, whether out having fun or when i was working/bouncing at a place in downtown LA which was 'the place' to be 35+ yrs ago.
rodney used to have an adult beverage or two with us back in the day, in malibu. we'd go to gladstones right on pacific coast highway. he was a good dude, very humble and fun.
hi SB. might put some chicken in the BBQ and possibly have a coffee cup with some red pop, but first have to do the barn chores. should i start a friday night thread? we haven't had one in a while.
as for spring games, one of our sons has his own, and then in need to hustle home for a football coaches meeting, so no time for AA. will you be in the big house tomorrow?

update: comet is bright, but stationary.
what is not stationary is the meteor shower. just watched one cross about 80 degrees worth of the sky and then flame out. pretty cool.

smart aleck. IIRC, you live somewhere near TC - you can easily get to some place with a clear view of the comet, and maybe the northern lights.
