i candidly think the MSU we don't like is actually not as bad of a team as we would hope, and might win a game or two.
did note that both colorado teams (CSU and the buffs) are in the first four and both have a 24-10 record. did a double take on that, thinking it was a typo/misprint for a second.
ouch. you are a champ for the candor though. i'm sure that is long in the past and never to be repeated. i think i've only handled one in washtenaw and it was a few years before that. it resolved along the lines of what i posted. regardless, glad for you that is in the rear-view mirror.
not a buzzer beater, but 35 years ago almost to the day, rumeal robinson hit the two biggest free throws of all time. down 1 in the national championship game, shooting 1-and-1 with a couple of seconds left in the game:
sinks them both. michigan is the national champion. glorious.
hockey snowflake: we played excellent in literally every facet of the game: forechecking, backchecking, wiping out the neutral zone, cycling (!!!), goaltending, faceoffs, and stayed out of the box.
credit to the refs, too, who let both teams play. they have been terrible this year but tonight there were a solid B, B+, and that's about all you can ask for.
turns out he had another one that was reduced to a non-dui conviction. so while it's a 'first' under michigan law, if you're looking at the substance of what he's got in his record, it's a 'third' and he needs to step away from coaching and get clean for a sustained period of time.
at least in michigan, no jurisdiction that i've been in (dozens) has had fines more than $1250 and those backed down during covid and haven't gone back up.
one of my favorite U of M alums mailed me an updated det. news article, and it looks like he had one in that was turned into a non-dui conviction so that it doesn't count as a prior. but if you're really dealing with a guy in candor, it's his 3rd in ~ 12 years. he has a problem and he shouldn't be coaching football until he's got it in order.
thank you for posting. the other day i went down a rabbit hole of old hockey pictures. back when boards had no ads and goalies had brown pads. a few here, the first one showing how a 'stars/north stars uniform should look as opposed to the abomination they have in dallas:
judgement. the world is full of intelligent fools. wisdom and self-control are virtues precisely because they are hard to come by and we should always pray for more.
so under michigan law this would be dealt with as a 'first' - max 93 days in jail, $500 fine, 360 hrs community service. not sure what they're doing down in washtenaw county, but normally the total time in jail is whatever time you spent the night you got popped. figure ~$1,000 in fines and costs (varies by jurisdiction); maybe take a MADD VIP (victim impact panel) class and/or an alcohol highway safety class (AHSC). sometimes the bond or probation conditions have the defendant take PBT's 1-5 times/day, again varying tremendously by jurisdiction.
30 day 'hard' suspension of the license, followed by 150 days of a restricted license - to/from school, work, major medical, court, and treatment. if he gets a break down to an OWVI (operating while visibly impaired), then it's a 90 day restriction on the license.
you look at orgi and you see how well he could mimic bama's QB milroe in the run-up to the rose bowl. the kid is a specimen. if he can get through the progressions and make wise decisions, how could you not love a QB like that?
all true, but you will have someone with less of an arm and probably much less of a capacity to process what the D is doing in real-time. so you run? go back and forth from gap to zone? then pass? i think we have to be creative and mix it up more than prior years. its just that we're going from about a '9' on total offense to probably a 6.5-7.5 on offense. hard to make that up with just play calling.
who will be our QB next year? i know i'm not alone that i fear we will have a huge drop at the QB position and, thus, our overall performance. hopefully those fears will prove to be unfounded.

minor observation: not in practice uni's but basically in full-on game uni's.

Hopefully it’s a first, or for that matter a first and only, and certainly not within seven years. Otherwise he’ll be a walking-to-work son of a gun.
come to think of it, i might be on that list, at least for some people.
haven't all of us known a few MF'ers in our day? could be any one of many MF'ers
1568 absolutely has to be the number of days that ohio has been sucking our tail pipe since their last win over michigan.

a natty? you can win one, or pick one up at the store on the way home
He’s always been here
i certainly don't wish him ill, just the opposite in fact, but i'm glad he's gone.
i vote shepherd's pie on the savory stuff. and wendy, i have no doubt you would cook a wicked good pie, savory or otherwise.
…
that map is manure pie.
best pies are blueberry, raspberry and a good apple pie.
pie must be served in a 1:3 ratio (pie is first number) to vanilla ice cream. pie must be warmed.
i'll have words with anyone who says differently.
would you believe tony tinybootie?
as my FIL says, 'quick and painful is better than slow and painful'.
wise words.

what are you all so worried about? its fine. totally fine and looking better every second.
totally.
fine.
fully comatose?
i…
i was so much older then
i'm younger than that now
