how is any of that relevant?…

how is any of that relevant? besides, way to show support for these student athletes who:

  • are not lance armstrong, not even related, prob'ly don't even know lance armstrong
  • are probably not missing gonads
  • are not blood dopers

plus:

  • pay their own way
  • compete for the love of the sport
  • represent the university in a positive way.

you could learn something if you cared, or you can just be a shitty diaper.

Pretty sure it was the most goals in, like, 61 years. In championship games alone, both CC (1950 and 1957) and Denver (1961) have scored more.

BitWarden I happily used LastPass for a long time. After it was discovered that hackers could steal your password if you use autofill, I set all my passwords to not autofill. Then I swear they changed the polarity, i.e. new and hundreds of my existing passwords now autofill unless I go back in and explicitly tell them not to. And they doubled their annual fee. So it was time to look for alternatives. I found BitWarden. It does almost everything LastPass does for free. In fact, I can't think of anything I miss. I also second the recommendation for two-factor authentication.
Nvm...

This brings back memories...

We rocked up at game time for a game against BGSU in Feb 1991, I think, and got front-row seats on the blue line. We also went to the Cornell series. Next season, we decided to get season tickets. So did the rest of the student body, apparently.

No more on-campus games!!!

Bummer for Duluth (especially) and Harvard.  Good thing we'll never see another game at Yost.

(Forgot the /s)

Gone!!!

Thanks for looking.

Thought we said that...

four years ago.

Thanks, coach!

I was underwhelmed with his hire in the first place.  That said, I'd be ok with giving him another year.  I'd like to see how he does without Dave Brandon's meddling.

yeah...

what about kicking our ass?

Doesn't seem so...

People on both sides of the aisle still go on about RR.  I don't think we've moved on as a fanbase.

Haven't we been through this

Haven't we been through this before?

I've been saying this for years...

but never quite so succinctly.  Thank you, sir.

No, he won't...

I emailed him after his first big win at Arizona and he was very gracious in his response.  I, too, wish he hadn't been vilified from the second he decided to leave WVU.  I think he could have done great things here.

Someone by the name of Andrew Copp signed it.

3069. Andrew Copp (acopp)

There is an alumnus who shares this name with our esteemed hockey captain.

Try again

Several years ago (like 10-15), I got one from the cycling team that seemingly had an out-of-proportion block M.  I got another a few years later that seemingly had the wrong yellow.  The one I got this year seemed spot on.

Thanks for this

Great to hear about the team's progress.

I'm the one riding around Madison in the M jersey.

This season wasn't totally disappointing

They beat BC and UMN.

really...

you don't say.

easy

if you play your hearts out and come up short to an evenly matched team, the loss sucks, but it's not necessarily disheartening.

to play like crap against a team that has no business being on the same field is cause for concern.  looked like a possible pass interference on the last play...  just think what coulda been.

i'd rather play the good teams than swallow this crap every year.

yup

would you rather play akron, or alabama?  central michigan or notre dame?

i was thinking watching the highlights of the alabama tamu game that it must have been a lot of fun to be in that game.  who cares when you're playing akron - a combined 3-33 in the last three years.  just boring.  tickets cost too much for this kind of crap.

come together right now...

come back, chris

in my experience, their fans aren't so bad.

even when they're winning.

north dakota has the most insufferable fans.  every year i'm happy to see them lose.

maine fans were kind of obnoxious, too.  that hasn't been an issue for a few years now.

of course, i'm not an obnoxious fan, but i wonder what people say about michigan fans (at least away from yost).

part of me was hoping for a und-und final, with und beating und in overtime.  oh, well...  if michigan can't win it, let someone else win it.

i agree with this 200%.

i agree with this 200%.

losing only 6 games all season...

five of those to highly ranked opponents and all but one of those on the road.

what i don't get is the

what i don't get is the paterno report says paterno was not given an opportunity to refute anything in the freeh report;  freeh says paterno declined.

at the very least, both paterno and mcqueary are guilty of willful ignorance.

this was brilliant

thank you, wolverinehistorian.

most of all, thank you, denard.

it's clearly a popularity contest

must get the michigan alumni base mobilised.

reading the descriptions of the finalists, there are only a handful that come close to jordan.  good thing the fan vote is only 5%.

that would never happen

that would undermine the sanctity of the regular season and the bowl structure.

or the constant diet of

or the constant diet of snakky cakes?

So...

What are you trying to say?

yes, but there are some who don't care

i'd much rather play an interesting game and lose once in a while than win a championship by playing cupcakes.

this post is full of win

win, i tell you

oh, what might have been...

how is this guy successful everywhere but michigan?  maybe jeff casteel knew something.

i've been thinking about a trip to bolivian...

m m m m

it's no fun winning if you're padding the schedule

amen, brother sten...

well said.

wow...

seriously?

i can't fathom pinning this loss on the athletic director.  the loss hurts and we looked bad.  i'll still take this game over emu, wmu, toledo, utah.

you don't get better playing cupcakes.  i'll gladly take the loss in exchange for playing one of the best pro teams in the country in a virtual away game.  i'll take my lumps.  i'll be better for it.

--

i once coached a youth hockey team.  in the first game of the season we got crushed by a much bigger, faster and more experienced team.  not even close.  we didn't know what hit us.  the last game of the season, they were still bigger and faster, but we lost a close game by a goal and we were in the game the whole way.

the kids remembered what it was like to get beat badly.  they grew from it and were better for it.  nobody whined or complained.  we went out and worked to be better every single day.  i couldn't have been more proud of my kids after that last game.
