the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

I stopped reading these....they say nothing, will not tell you what they really think and will just lead you down a path to nowhere..... |
| 51 weeks 23 hours ago | Go get Strickland from Kent |
Go get Strickland from Kent State! Ohio State made the mistake of passing him over last selection. UM is not going to get a National name and Strickland is a as close to that as they will get. He knows the region, excellent recuiting and knows how to develop pitchers. |

Sorry...couldn't disagree more. |
| 1 year 26 weeks ago | Must just be me.... Defense |
Must just be me.... Defense played GREAT and yes, JT had a pick. He's made out to be the hero of the D on this day?! What?! I must have been watching a different game (and season). The only reason Jenkins was shut down was because our D-Line was in shellhats face ALL DAY. Most of the attempts and conversons to Jenks were very short patterns cause thats all they were gonna get. On most long balls JT was way out matched and never knew where the ball was or enough to turn around and find the ball. He's lucky if he's within 5 yards of any reciever when they catch it. On the other hand...Countess is usually right there breaking up the catch. I can't join the love affair with JT. I'm just hoping he doen't kill us the next two games. My pick for most overrated Wolverine. Sorry |

...top 3 recruiting classes for years to come. We start bringing in top talent and then teaching that talent...whew! What recruit (and parents/H.S. coaches) wouldn't want to be a part of this TEAM?! Coaches are very careful not to make anyone out to be a star but part of a unit. A true family of players/coaches. Love it!

I love how any post that basically says Brian is a dick gets the -1 applause sign. Where do I sign up? |
| 2 years 18 weeks ago | Fail |
Yes Brian is a fan and allowed to have his opinions. Yes Brian can use his blog to prop up or tear down whatever or whoever he wants...he just has to accept the responsibility that comes with the site as well. That's right...there is a responsibility here. Didn't read all the posts but the majority and have for some time. Unfortunately too many people are influenced by what they read and don't take the time to research and evaluate themselves..... blogs are easy. This is the worst posting by Brian I have read....tempted to delete the site and not return as I'm sure many have considered. But it is a great site...just hoping it doesn't go the way it seems to be hading. Give the man a chance. Hell, before he even set foot on campus as head coach he was doomed to fail by the majority on here...bullshit! ...and everyone ready to lynch DB...give it a rest. You have no idea what transpired. Guessing doesn't make it so I for one am glad to see Hoke come in and think he will be a great hire. Go Blue |
| 2 years 23 weeks ago | Amazing how so many want to |
Amazing how so many want to blame DB. He got this pile handed to him. For those that think that ANY of the top UM officials are totally concerned about next years recruiting, or even the next 2 years recruiting had better think again. This is about the long term $$ and long term face that UM will have to wear. Face it, UM made a bad decision in RR. In just 3 short years, he has dragged the program and univeristy into a huge hole. Set the worst kind of records possible, sanctions etc. Watch him on the sidelines...he is NOT a Michigan man. Hey, I wish it were different but it's not. He's probably a good guy and never really got a good chance...but hey, thr university will move on and so will the program. Book it...RR is gone. |
| 2 years 28 weeks ago | Sick of hearing |
youth on defense is the problem. Bullshit! We should have enough talent to do better. I'm not looking for stops all the time.....but damn...we suck on defense. I mean suck. We do everyhting poorly...everything. Throw in no kicking game, bad special teams....uh.... we are not a good team. Screw the youth excuse. put together a scheme that works....period! |
| 2 years 33 weeks ago | Now my keyboard is jacked up... |
you just made me spit out my drink while reading. I do like Mills a lot...but as a closer?? uhm...I don't think so. Left field is where he belongs...period. Also - Coach is a classic....has a kid for two years so sees his performance and ability for 4 seasons (two college, two summer) and still fails to accept what the kid can and can't do. That's why most that watch this team just shake their head when certain decisions are made. Go figure. Gerbe will be the closer, Clark behind him. |
| 2 years 40 weeks ago | Too bad... |
I'm sure all the excuses he has given was discussed, debated, contemplated etc. ad nauseam prior to his verbal. With UM being a top academic school, great facilities, big travel budget, nice schedule. Not much to change your mind about. As far as money, 50% is not that big a scholly. At a northern school, your top 2-3 players should be getting 70-75% at least and there is usually at least one that is full ride based on players leaving early… If he goes to a “baseball” school, that amount will decrease heavily as he is not what one would call a top national recruit.. .. . it all comes down to coaching. Maloney talks a good game up front and the kids generally like him but if they did their homework and dug deep, well, decisions could change. |
| 2 years 46 weeks ago | Correct and correct! I think |
Correct and correct! I think you're looking at #1 & #2 here for next year. BB needs rest (don't forget, he did have tommy john surgery) and Sin needs some strength/weight. I think it's a pretty good idea for these two this year to keep close and throw only when needed. That said, it's always tough to keep sophomores away from the summer league the season before they are dratf eligle...but in this case, should be OK. |
| 2 years 47 weeks ago | Good news to see Dufek trying |
Good news to see Dufek trying out the independent route. Wish him the best there. Also, was hoping to see a list of where the players are playing this summer...thanks. |
| 2 years 48 weeks ago | LaMarre signs... Burgoon |
LaMarre signs... Burgoon signs... Miller signs as well. Time to move on... Next years squad should be ok, just need a few guys to step up like Gerbe & Crank did this year. Infield will be solid, the outfield will have questions as does the starting catcher spot. Pitching...well, I guess that's always the question huh. |
| 2 years 50 weeks ago | 4 teams left.. |
..and I think this comes down to a Michigan v Minnesota ending. No way Purdue or Iowa has enough left in their tank to win out. I'm liking the Big Blue's chances. |
| 2 years 50 weeks ago | Indiana scares me |
I feel pretty confident matching up with anyone right now (now that Bischoff won't be throwing against us)...but that Indiana team just scares me. FA...you nailed it about how they will be out of pitching...however, I remember that last time they were out of pitching as well. One at a time I suppose. Go Blue! |
| 2 years 51 weeks ago | Well Deserved |
Nice job men... now lets finish what was set before you. 8 games to Omaha! Go Blue!
--side note-- If you are traveling to the 1st tourney game on Thursday...Wear Maize! |
| 2 years 51 weeks ago | FA... |
any doubt that Eric Dickerson wins POY and Wimmers Pitcher? |
| 2 years 51 weeks ago | yeah.... |
you and EVERYone else. Good decisions are hard to come by on this coaching staff. I especially love the way he berates his players as a group and singles guys out when he has them in the outfield after games. Such an exceptional motivator he is. |
| 2 years 51 weeks ago | Olive Garden ... |
almost did the boys in today. 4-5 players were not feeling good after eating fettucini alfredo....including Burgoon who closed the game. Ty was throwing up during the 7th & 9th innings yet still pitched? Way to "gut" it out Ty. Now, please rest. Three triples....wow, and Coley's HR was to the deepest part of the park...over 410 ft. Great game guys...now go sweep 'em! |
| 3 years 20 hours ago | Vitek... |
I tried to convince coach to take a serious look at Vitek when it was recruiting time for him. Coach didn't believe he fit the mold he was looking for... yeah; I wouldn't want a top 50 player either. I guess you know what they say about hindsight. Is it ok to hope for a rain-out? Go Rain...I mean Blue! |
| 3 years 1 week ago | whew |
Another close one...but I like the results of this one MUCH better. Great pitching today. Nice job Brandon & Bobby! Cut down on the K's a bit today and defense good again. Not a series win (FA right again) but in a tie for first. Let's hope Sparty comes out strong tomorrow and at least takes 1 from Purdue creating a four way tie. Go Blue! |
| 3 years 1 week ago | just doesn't sit well huh |
yeah....I thought we were in good shape entering the 9th. Tough to see the team take a loss in this one. The one guy I feel pretty "at ease" with in a close game and whoosh. Guess it happens to everyone. Boy, we need tomorrows game. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | man I hate that stat tracker |
ok...play by play says scored 2, score board says 1 run. which is it? And are we the worst hitting club in the nation when it comes o striking out? wow |
| 3 years 1 week ago | uhmmm....well, I uhhh |
am stuptified by my continued persistence of delusional optimism. I will give to charity should we win the next two. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | Pretty accurate |
Currently I know of (2) 90+%'ers and a couple others at the 70-75%. Gets kinda skinney at the bottom. |
| 3 years 1 week ago | I almost spit out my coffee... |
when I read that FA predicts a 1-2 loss. I'm thinking just the oppo. The guys know what's at hand. They know what they need to do. You will see a much more aggressive offense this weekend and coach will run, run and run. Pitching is coming back and the confidence is there. Oaks, Katz & Sinn will all have solid starts and Gerbe/Burgoon will continue to shut down. You will see a Minn team reminiscent of the early 2010 season who will struggle to put up numbers. This very well could be our first sweep... but a solid 2-1 series win. Go Blue! |
| 3 years 2 weeks ago | Official line score.... |
says that game sucked big time. Next please, I want to forget this one asap |
| 3 years 2 weeks ago | Thank you Dufek! |
...As we would be totally embarrassed without him this game. Come on...4 hits and 2 of them by Duf. This team should no way be able to play with us.
Poll Watch...yikes. Put that away, it's all fun and games until someone get poked in the eye. |
