22 weeks 1 day ago	Hate I break it to you but	Hate I break it to you but there is a cap on out of state admits that is hit every year. In-state and out-of-state applicants don't really compete against one another and it is far more difficult to earn acceptance from out of state.

1 year 11 weeks ago	Being in Minneapolis	I do have a slight bias towards seeing us get the 1-seed at the XCel Center, but I do hate that it would likely entail a 2nd round matchup with the Gophers. For those who thought Duluth had a home crowd advantage at last year's final (basis my seats / angle, I'd estimate 85-90% of fans behind them), you'll know that we do not want to face ANY MN team in a one-game playoff in this state. Lame as it may be, I guess I'd prefer a boring couple of games with no significant home ice advantage in Green Bay followed by a couple more "boring" no-home-ice games in Tampa... and I'd hope to be at all of them, myself.
1 year 12 weeks ago	At least...	I was just listening on the radio stream rather than actually watching. Easier to be detached from a frustrating night of hockey. Unfortunately, as Brian has pointed out, that's the way this team is this year. Let's just hope they find that fire again down the stretch...
1 year 21 weeks ago	Formatting Changes Affecting the knowledge's style...	And the "new" mgoformatting is a real drag on THE_KNOWLEDGE's approach to posting. The default 1.5 spacing after an enter really changes the dynamic that used to be presented by the period-filled spaces. Anyone else remember when using the spacebar after hitting enter, then hitting enter again was the only way to have a gap between paragraphs? Undoubtedly the current system is far superior to the older 99.9% of the time, but I believe that THE_KNOWLEDGE should have access to the old formatting system.

1 year 25 weeks ago	Good Luck	I'll always be hoping he finds success at Arizona. Would have been great if he'd succeeded more quickly here, but best of luck to him at AZ. Glad it isn't a usual opponent for us, because I know he'll be successful again, though I guess baggage in the Big East and Big 10 country would have probably been too much for a team to gamble on him (and still be worth the career risk to him given program quality) in those parts of the country.

JoePa - thanks for your contributions to college football & for the good things in communities that you've done that will now likely go unremembered. I wish you had exercised better judgment and avoided this fate.

1 year 33 weeks ago	This is a Big Deal	Love picking up a 5* defenseman, and it is especially sweet to do it at Notre Dame's expense. Hopefully he stays on the college track and we see him at Yost next fall!
1 year 33 weeks ago	Real Schedule Next Year	Bama at a neutral site + ND away (not to mention Nebraska & OSU) = taking a bit of a sleeper on other non-conference games. It is what it is and it hurts for season ticket holders, but if we booked another big-time opponent, we could be staring at an ugly year 2 for Hoke that has more to do with scheduling than the quality of the team we field. 9-game conference schedules can't come quickly enough to readjust this home/away balance situation...

Though I do agree that spillovers are annoying, especially when I want to look at the message board / links sidebar and have to navigate to another page.  Feel like I have a lot of wasted space outside even the sidebars relative to most sites...
