I was really impressed with Hackett, but it was more because he wasn't just show. He definitely appears to be someone who takes the time and uses deep thought before making a big decision. I like his comment about swim lanes... It shows that he is very organized and deliberate with his processes also.
I really don't get why you guys haven't fired Hoke yet. The only thing I can think of is that you already have Miles, but he told Hackett that he wants to coach the bowl game before it is announced.
The two situations aren't even remotely comparable in that respect.
1. Jerry wasn't exactly diddling little boys out on the field during a nationally televised game for the entire world to see.
2. If Bo was coach and this same incident happened, there would be a lot less outrage, if any.
3. You guys already despise Brandon and Hoke, so a comparatively minor incident like this is more of the cherry on top of the crap sundae. When someone, who has always been revered not only as a great coach but also a great person and humanitarian, and what they've built get absolutely blown up in the worst scandal in college football history overnight due to some asshole who was supposed to be his best friend...it goes beyond a point where people are able to respond coherently and in a thoughtful way due to mass shock.
So please don't even try to pretend what we went through as a fan base to this. Not only is it an insult to us, but an insult to the rape victims by comparing their lifetime pain to what is probably a minor concussion. Yeah you guys suck now, but you'll be back once you clean house and make good hires.
As a side note, you are able to compare on one point: The bumbling PR response of your athletic administration. You'd think they would have learned, but I guess not.
Our OL is *terrible* which is why those numbers are so high... though if I remember correctly, they were able to do the same to Washington State a bit.
I agree with this. Never, ever, ever abandon those kids on the field. Not only are you not going to be very successful (a lot of people would be willing to take your spot and a lot are just not going to participate), but it discourages future recruits from playing for you.
Like I said, the best thing to do is to constantly chant to fire Hoke and Brandon. You'll still be supporting the team, but not the coaches.

To be fair, Washington State isn't nearly as bad as their record indicates. They hung tough with Rutgers for a tight loss, and they gave Oregon a really really tough game and nearly played spoiler there. I can't explain the Nevada loss, but overall WSU just needs things to finally click and they'll win games. They *should* have a winning record by the end of the year.
So for those wanting a description... His tats and hair distribution are really hot.... But he definitely proves that there are exceptions to the rule about black guys :\
Wait what? Why is this a thing? Two PA DII teams playing a season game at the Big House? I could see maybe a GVSU game, or having the game at Heinz field, but this just makes no sense.
You know that display of letting your QB who was clearly concussed a bit go back in and play multiple times was so disgusting I have to say... If I was the center I would have led a revolt midgame to make sure Morris was ok...hopefully the players still do that and refuse to do anything else Hoke says.
I don't understand why you guys think it would be so bad to fire Hoke mid season.
Look at USC and what happened when they did it last year. Complete turnaround and it saved their recruiting. Fire Hoke now, bring in Carr to finish up the season, then hire a permanent replacement at the end of the season.
I know you guys should fire Hoke and I'm not going to argue against it, but who are you going to hire to replace him? This upcoming off season may just be the all time worst for available coaches with solid head coaching experience deserving of a spot at a blue chip program.
Barring going to Les Miles with dump truck loads of money...who is out there?

Go to Nick Saban and offer him $20M/year
That's the only thing that's going to work at this point.

If you're seen as abandoning the players, that is not good.

What about the CEO of Little Caesar's Pizza to replace Dave?
