I can top Jennifer Granholm. Mine was Rick Snyder. He kept talking about how much of a "nerd" he was in undergrad at Michigan. Plus a good number of students were protesting that day took away from what should be a celebration of our accomplishments. It seems like Governers rarely do well speaking at Michigan's commencement. I wish I graduated the prior year as I heard Obama was actually good. |

There is absolutely no support for hockey at Purdue. I remember getting ostracized for caring about the Stanley Cup playoffs and not the NBA playoffs. The club team for purdue practices 30 minutes off campus and plays their games one hour away in Indianapolis. Purdue would be one of the last universities to add hockey. The current president Mitch Daniels is on a budget cutting session at the moment. Since Purdue football is not the most revenue generating program in the area...I seriously doubt president Daniels and AD Burke wants to taken on additional costs. |

At my undergrad Purdue, I had Martin Jischke. Who is he? Well he is the former Purdue University president. All I remember that it was the most boring speech I have had to sit through. He is perhaps the worst school president in our universities history. He is remembered for being all about dollars and cents and screwing the students over. Although I have heard horrible things about the current school president Mitch Daniels from a friend who is an associate professor at the university. |
