"It's a lot easier being a drug dealer than an AAU coach" - this guy. Tell me something I don't know. I mean, don't think but have never tried either.

Last hosted a Super Bowl in 1992, played in the Big Baggy. I think they'll be awarded the game again, although, if I recall correctly, it was around 20 below outside - plus 72 inside. The city is pretty cool, and they're great at hosting mega events. In fact, they were the site for that year's MBB final four.
Some people will object to the potential for ball-freezing weather, but you really don't have to step outside if you don't want to.

A short article quoting the 24/7 piece:

I don't see Virginia over MSU as an upset - they are just as physical and are playing at a fairly high level right now.
Of cours, we can hope that Tommy's Harvard team, assuming it gets past Cinci, can put a stop to Staee even before it comes that that.

I find your statement a bit paranoid. There may have been some disdain for the program in the years following the scandals and the consistent uderperformance that plagued us until Beilein; however, I don't see the same thing nationally or on BTN these days.
Maybe you hear too much Vitale commentary, which would lead us to believe that there is only one program worthy of praise in the entire country.

not nature. If we allow that, he'll see six feet of snow and students lying frozen in the streets.

There is a multi-faceted good character thing going on with him that goes beyond the basic "grit" thing - tons of gritty types out there, but not many with the kind of unselfish, truly team- oriented, gracious, etc. expressions that Morgan displays.
Someone you really like to see as the face of our program, and also a tribute to Beilein's own character.

"shut up you little boys. We are still the premier sports program in the country. How many people would be happy with top 3 in fball and bball?"
One Rose Bowl and top five football finish and that makes you THE PREMIER sports program in the country. Let's ask Stanford, Michigan, and even OSU what that means.

is ESPN even relevant in the recruiting world? They are marginal, generally behind the times, and offer little in the way of insight.
I have always been convinced that they simply do things to piss off most sane and decent sports fans (everything from Pam Ward to their "this is ESPN" voice to something like 75% of their commentators); why give them the time of day?

They should all be listed in order of importance as targets and relative likelihood of committment.

Seven quarterback offers. Take them all, there goes our depth problem. Screws the rest of CFB, as well.

the "Schwartz is a knucklehead" opinion is very unpopular, at least among those I hang out with.
|38 weeks 2 days ago||Please||
This is a very nice, pious sentiment, but it does nothing to calm the raging masses. More importantily, it ignores the possible reasons why players, whatever their age, decide to decommit or not commit. A program that, to some, at least, is in disarray creates insecurity and instability, and is the real concern, even if there is just about a 0% chance that Hoke is gone anytime soon.

could have easily been a 6-0 affair; the ISU keeper made several excellent-to-superb saves, and Michigan played (conservatively estimated) 90% of the second half in the ISU end.
And, BTW, it was pretty cold, freeze your ass to the metal seats kind of weather.

2003 comeback v. the Gophers in the Teflon Baggie Stadium. Minnesota was up 28-7 in the third quarter, and was running all over the place (424 yards for the game). Navarre threw about 300 screen passes; the defense somehow stopped the two future NFL backs (Marion Barber and Laurence Maroney); and Michigan won the 100th meeting for the Jug.
I had watched several blowout games at the Dome, most of which were sparsely attended. This one, however, was packed, and by far the loudest place I've ever been, at least until the last 10 minutes, when the crowd essentially lapsed into the normal Gopher coma.
Lots of other high points from the game, including the Breaston to Navarre rumble, which the announcers described at "just like a punt return, except in slow motion" (or something like that).

the pass interference call in the end zone was pure gift.

I may be blind, but I don't see a time listed in the announcement. Looks like around noon, but not quite sure.

I'm tempted to say the 1950 Snow Bowl v. Ohio, but that would be a blatant lie (although my father attended - four years before my birth).
Does it count if I watched it online?

Sometimes the TSA folks will look kindly on a family with a youngster that age (we were essentially "waived through" a couple of lines when we flew with our 18 month old son back in 2001). Things may have changed, but there are some agents with hearts who will help expedite certain processes.
The best thing, if possible, is to have an aisle seat with the tyke in your lap so that you can walk about from time to time. Ignore any and all stares from fellow-passengers, especially if your child begins to cry.
Bless God you are not changing time zones, so jet lag and other sleep interruptors will be less of an issue.
In the end, of course, much depends on the temperament of said youngster, so experiences will certainly vary. Pressure changes are one of the big problems; if there is something he/she can chew on during take-off and landing, that's great. There are things called "earplanes" that equalize pressure for infants and toddlers.
Final thought: Board last so that you are sitting in the plane for the least amount of time possible.
Vaya con Dios.

The CR-V is reliable, low true cost to own, good mileage (new models even better), roomy, etc. Also, the Kea Sorento, which has a lot of room, third row option, newer models have advanced fuel management, really quiet, etc.
