the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

| 1 week 2 days ago | You are correct |
'82 was my freshman year... memories clouded a bit by time and a beer or ten...(back then, not today) |
| 1 week 2 days ago | Are you sure that wasn't |
1982? Also, I loved the UCLA game video above. It was one of the few games I went to back then (aside from Rosebowl's with Michigan) as I was living in socal at the time. Even better, I watched it with a UCLA grad/friend who was happy to enjoy a game at the Big House despite watching his team get thrashed. Good memories... |
| 1 week 3 days ago | Oh boy. I shouldn't |
have watched that video right before heading to bed. No way can I fall asleep now... way too fired up! |
| 1 week 5 days ago | Good point |
which has me thinking all this chatter about medical scholarships is much ado about nothing. |
| 1 week 6 days ago | I get what you're saying |
but that completely undermines the entire premise of having a scholarship cap. It's also a point that in the past has been used to distinguish between UM and oh, maybe Alabama or LSU. If (and we don't know) it is what's going on, you have to admit we're playing for keeps now. |
| 2 weeks 3 days ago | Be sure to ask if the driver |
Be sure to ask if the driver was a regular at Mac's Bar back in the day. Hang on Sloopy... |
| 2 weeks 6 days ago | I doubt it. |
A customer of mine, and BIG Domer, has stated that ND's deep dislike for UM dates back to when we kept them out of the Big Ten and wouldn't play them Or maybe ND sees MSU as a way to build a legit schedule with less risk of a loss than playing UM going forward. Time will tell. |
| 3 weeks 3 days ago | I agree up until you realize |
I agree up until you realize the research and process ultimately got us Rutgers... WTF? |
| 3 weeks 4 days ago | It makes sense |
if you replace the "a" in the first sentence with "to". Otherwise, I agree wholeheartedly with your comment. |
| 3 weeks 6 days ago | Stoned? |
Sorry, but Tree has that sleepy/happy look... not saying he is high, he just looks like it. |
| 4 weeks 2 days ago | I can add another win |
The satisfaction of knowing that his dad would have to write some large checks to UM ( assuming walk-on status) |
| 4 weeks 3 days ago | 6'10" and 250 lb. |
Were you expecting something like Mike Tyson? |
| 5 weeks 1 day ago | Having been to Cinci |
twice this week for meetings, the school topic came up in both meetings thanks to our presence in the title game Monday night. According to the guys in both meetings, Kentucky and Louisville have their share of fans in the Cincinnati area (more than OSU). That makes sense when you consider Kentucky is right across the river and that Lexington and Lousiville are both easy driving distance. |
| 6 weeks 7 hours ago | Very small sample |
to draw from, but I didn't see Devon look off any receiver. It looked like he tracked and threw to the primary target every time. Here's hoping that has everything to do with the small sample size and that it isn't an issue defenses will exploit in the fall. |
| 9 weeks 4 days ago | As someone who grew up a Rams |
As someone who grew up a Rams fan back in the 70's - 80's than gave up on them when they left socal, (Anaheim, not L.A.) I may have to start following them again. Lord knows the Lions haven't earned my support (even though I have heartedly pull for them.) |
| 10 weeks 7 hours ago | You are forgetting |
what often distinguishes top QB's from the others has as much, or more, to do with what's between the ears as it does with their physical abilities. More guys have one or the other (physical or mental skill sets) than the gifted players who combine both. Ryan Leaf anyone? (No, I am not suggesting we have a Leaf type persona on our hands) |
| 10 weeks 5 days ago | I thought the question was |
I thought the question was what do you want, not, what will you get? (Yes, I get it) |
| 11 weeks 2 days ago | Maturity? |
I have known many people who were not mature enough or secure enough as an individual to manage their life as a single person. In essence, they required a partner due to their own insecurity, so no, I don;t see single/married status as representative of maturity. Some guys may be mature enough to know they aren't ready to settle down... still have some wild oats to sew, and all that. The contrast is settling down too young, then cheating, etc. Now, having multiple kids out of wedlock may be a sign of immaturity, imo. Paying your bills on time and staying out of legal trouble provide much better indications of maturity in my mind. This makes for entertaining discussion, however. |
| 11 weeks 2 days ago | Thank you |
I knew I could find someone else asking for more Levert for D purposes. There's no better way to send a message than sit someone down. Defense is (mostly) about effort and desire. Play the kids who bring it. The others will get the message or move on. |
| 11 weeks 6 days ago | Oh hell yeah! Now to reel in |
Oh hell yeah! Now to reel in his teammates (Campbell in 2015) |
| 11 weeks 6 days ago | IIRC, he took |
two threes and maybe one drive to the hoop? It was a rough day for our Canadian friend. Think back to Jr. Having to learn the same lesson... if the shots aren't falling, you can (need to) contribute in other ways. I am confident Nick will get there eventually, although it may not be this year. It would certainly be nice if he did get it together this year, however. |
| 11 weeks 6 days ago | BYU |
In I think it was 1986, beat Bo's worst team ever to win the "National Championship" There's your weakest team ever, IMO. (Pre BCS so technically it wasn't the national championship game... It still pisses me off though.) |
| 13 weeks 3 days ago | For some reason |
your post got me to thinking (again) about what an ass Dan Dakich is. |
| 14 weeks 2 days ago | Hate to tell you, but if |
Hate to tell you, but if Urban keeps recruiting like this, he won't be going 7 - 5. More like 2 losses... one to us and the other in a bowl game. note: this was in response to a post way up there about Urban going 7-5 then quitting. |
| 14 weeks 2 days ago | Looking at it another way |
let me suggest that Penn State's well publicized problems helped Maryland and Rutgers improve their overall classes in comparison to where they would have been with PSU sans penalites. I believe Pitt also had a strong class this year (for the same reason). Of course this is my speculation (logic) as I have no ties to PA or any recruiting scoops. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | I should be dead by then, so |
I should be dead by then, so yeah, go for it. If still alive, there's a reasonable chance my eyes will have healed from the damage caused by last night's unis. |
| 15 weeks 1 day ago | While I agree that it's not |
While I agree that it's not the same, isn't anyone aged 18 and up legally an adult? Point being, virtually all college students are adults by the time a bowl game rolls around. Banging an athlete when you're a coach compares to a prof banging a student in his class though... way different from some random student. |
| 15 weeks 3 days ago | Not necessarily |
You could offer five while telling each prospect that you're only taking two. First come, first served (or whatever condition you mention, so long as it's spelled out up front) |
| 15 weeks 4 days ago | Aren't those Gopher fans? |
Aren't those Gopher fans? That might explain their (non) reaction, eh? |
| 16 weeks 21 hours ago | I am sure that injuries had |
I am sure that injuries had something to do with some of the "washouts". |
