|5 days 20 hours ago||Think civil law vs. criminal law||
That gets you most of the way there in explaining how/why the U can expel students based on a preponderance of evidence. There's no right to trial by a jury of your peers, beyond a doubt, etc.
|1 week 5 days ago||And there's your player development||
Did Max' dad play for MSU under Perles? (or uncle, whoever it was)
|3 weeks 5 hours ago||Well, I am 5'7"||
and I have dunked many times... in my dreams (literally). It's soooo disappointing to wake and realize it was just a dream. I did have a highschool classmate who stood 5'8" on a good day who could put it down strong with some sweet two handed reverses. Or course he had serious spring in his legs.

And if you're too young to understand or remember, that's a good thing.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||Arm length is an||
important measure for a tackle in addition to height. IIRC, Dawson has a pretty big wingspan.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||Walrus?||
Is that you?
|6 weeks 5 days ago||Upvoted - because||
I can't upvote Ryan Van Bergen.
|8 weeks 4 hours ago||Spike?||
As it relates to strong individual defenders I submit Spike as an exception to your statement. However, I do agree at the relative lack of emphasis by the coaches as it relates to lockdown defense. That's not to say they don't stress defense and coach it, just that the offensive system is higher priority.

says someone who has long since been disqualified as young.
|8 weeks 2 days ago||I had a long conversation||
with someone living in Louisville on Monday. According to him, everyone down there wants Petrino... he was pushing for Tressel! His logic was you take the pressure off by knowing up front your first five games are losses (show cause) and that Tressel could immediately shore up recruiting and "bring respectibility."
Did I forget to mention the guy is an OSU grad? LOL....
|9 weeks 21 hours ago||Agreed. Of some concern||
is the rumbling from his time with Baltimore. If I remember correctly the feeling was he was too inclined to sit back on D rather than take an aggressive approach. Can any Ravens fans support or contradict my fuzzy recollection? Please weigh in.
|9 weeks 5 days ago||If there is a shift,||
it's fan perception catching up with the reality of what our program now is. Teams that used to expect to lose, now come into the Big House expecting to win... because they do.
|9 weeks 6 days ago||I am guessing||
most of the UM ticket sales went to alums/fans living in California and Arizona. It's a quick and reasonable flight from California and they don't get to see their team very often.
|11 weeks 1 day ago||You must not follow the Lions||
at all. (Which makes you fortunate.)
|11 weeks 3 days ago||Especially when the comparison||
is A2 in December rather than A2 in September (or my favorite, all summer long) and Berkley.
|12 weeks 6 days ago||It's a different world now||
The question doesn't translate well across the years, but if forced to answer I would say yes, in comparison to where we are today.
|12 weeks 6 days ago||Congratulations and welcome aboard Karl!||
Based on his dad he should have some more growing up left to do (physically that is... Karl is probably more mature than his dad already ;-)
Nice work steering Karl to the good guys Ray.
|13 weeks 1 day ago||Looking at that spread||
makes me wonder who's recruiting who? As someone who just finished choking down a frozen dinner that looks incredible!
|13 weeks 2 days ago||Bad timing! Can you say Duke?!||
9:00 tonight. Your post is ridiculous, today of all days.
|13 weeks 3 days ago||Or maybe||
they drive up to the mountains for some beautiful scenery on the ski slopes. Then there's that thing called the sun that becomes scarce around these parts in January. January in socal can be mid-50's and rainy (bringing fresh snow to the nearby mountains) or 70 and beautiful. You are very correct about the traffic thing, but that's not an issue if you're on or near campus.
Sorry man, you may live there now but I was out there for 15 years (Redondo Beach/Costa Mesa) before returning to A2. I'm jonesing for some sun, sailing and motorcycling right now. With that out of the way, Peppers is coming to A2. Carry on...
|13 weeks 5 days ago||Students get a pass this week||
having The Game scheduled over Thanksgiving is BS.
|13 weeks 5 days ago||Well.....||
No on Borges, not sure about Funk.
The only possible exception I might make for Borges would be a fantastic bowl game. Otherwise, look at the season on the whole and he needs to pack his bags.
Today's game was great aside from the two point conversion attempt.
|14 weeks 1 day ago||We may in fact||
get blown out here and there, but Duke is not guaranteed to be one of those games. As noted above, they were lucky to win their last game. What I do hope to see among the ups and downs of the season is progression and development of the team (no comment re. football).
|15 weeks 28 min ago||Not sure where he grew up but||
I can tell you that SW Michigan is ND country through and through with a bit of State mixed in. There aren't many maize and blue flags flying over there even if it is in Michigan.
|15 weeks 5 days ago||Not True||
I saw him clearly look off his primary and throw to his secondary receiver one time yesterday.
|16 weeks 3 days ago||2nd||
Given a chance to justify it, LSU fans would gladly be rid of the Mad Hatter (not that they are overly concerned with NCAA rules or recruiting violations, imo.)
|19 weeks 6 days ago||Welcome||
With crappy weather and a fan hangover from last week, I am predicting the first < 100,000 game attendance since the 70's. Ironically, I believe the string began against Indiana. If enough folks drive up from SC I may be wrong.
|21 weeks 5 days ago||Awesome!||
I just finished reading the buckle-up thread, then this pops up. Question now is whether or not it's safe to unbuckle...

Baton Rouge or similar. I see Michigan gear all over the country.
