Playoffs

This is a perfect example of how the BCS wasn't solved by the implementation of the playoff. There are so many things at play other than a conference championship, especially when you consider how one sided divisions are (SEC, B1G). If OSU beats Michigan, and Penn State or Wisconsin make the playoff over OSU/UM, it proves that the playoff is just as broken as the BCS, if not more, becasue they treat conference champsionships as auto bids.

Exactly

Exactly. I don't read these forums to see people talk about how great OSU is, I come to see genuine thoughts on Michigan from fans. Sure I have to sift through the people who think they will win 100-0, but still, it is enjoyable to see people with real analysis on strengths and weaknesses.

Thanks for the response.

Apprecited

I appreciate you being reasonable. I'm really not trying to piss anyone off, but I'm sure people would get the same response if they wrote something similar on Eleven Warriors.

I'm talking explicitly about

I'm talking explicitly about coaching, not playing career. Yes Hardbaugh coached in a Super Bowl, and I considered that when ranking the coaches. Determining conference titles is difficult when HArbaugh has coached in FCS, FBS, and NFL with Meyer only coaching in FBS. I don't know how you thought me ranking him one spot below Meyer was a slight, but I'm sorry if you thought I was being "arrogant".

Thanks!

Haha thanks! I like reading other team forums before games and this is one of the more thorough ones. I know things get heated but I love this rivalry and think it is the best in all sports.

edit: No idea why this posted multiple times... sorry!

Thanks!

I try to remain neutral in these discussions

Thanks!

Probably the same reason I

Probably the same reason I come here. It is interesting to see the other side's thoughts. Both tend to be pretty biased (obviously) but they both also tend to provide great analysis on their respective teams.

Seconded on the bands my

Seconded on the bands my friend. I'm hoping for a great game!

I'm basing that on results.

I'm basing that on results. No doubt Harbaugh is a phenominal coach, but Meyer has 3 national titles under his belt. It could change over time, but I don't think he has the resume for it yet.

Delusional fans are delusional

OSU fan here, coming in peace.

This type of arrogance annoys a significant majority of OSU fans, so please accept my apology on their behalf.

The Game will be a fantastic match-up without a doubt. We both have two of the top five coaches in football (pro and cfb) with a ton of history and rosters that will have a significant amount playing on Sundays. Every blue blood has annoying t-shirt fans, but most of my friends (fellow students) and I think this will be the best game since 2006. Also, I personally have not seen aggression towards visiting fans, but I don't hang around the drunk old men near the stadium before the game.

Let's just hope we get through The Game with no injuries and represent the conference well in the post season.

Just in case you were wondering what my top five coaches are:

1. Belichick

2. Saban

3. Carroll

4. Meyer

5. Harbaugh
