Would it be possible to

Would it be possible to separate this podcast from the WTKA and/or football season podcasts? I have it set to automatically download new episodes from MGoBlog, but now that includes the Not Just a Shooter podcast, which I don't want to download (nothing personal, I just don't care about the NBA). This is equivalent to subscribing to Pardon My Take and also being subscribed to every Barstool podcast.

I can set it to not download any MGoBlog podcasts automatically, but then I miss the ones that I want.

Thanks.

Completely unnecessary shot

Completely unnecessary shot at Mitt Romney.

This is Worse than Deflategate

I'd recommend staying away from this one.

Regular Season Games

Regular season games count towards end of year awards, which make them more meaningful than every bowl game that isn't a College Football Playoff game.

I realize this opinion isn't shared, but any bowl game that isn't part of the Playoff means as much to me as the spring game.

John O'Korn must not be very

John O'Korn must not be very good.

Just Starting to Notice

Just starting to notice how well Brian writes lead-ins for his block quotes so that I actually read them. Much harder to do than he makes it seem.

Interstellar > Force Awakens

I liked Interstellar more than the Force Awakens, but that's just me.

I stand by my assessment.

I stand by my assessment. Jake Rudock is the equivalent of Alex Smith. He is the best available option and Harbaugh is doing what he can to win with him, but he is not the type of quarterback Harbaugh wants. This makes him difficult to coach.

Harbaugh and Rudock

It would not surprise me if Harbaugh and Rudock didn't have a great relationship. Rudock doesn't seem to have the Harbaugh approach to playing quarterback, and he is the only starter who doesn't give off the Harbaugh mentality IMO. He reminds me more of a player on a Hoke team.

Rudock was the best available option, so I'm sure Harbaugh is glad to have him, but I'm also sure Harbaugh is having a hard time coaching him.

Steve Patterson

Steve Patterson, real world Wesley Mouch.

49ers 2011 Pre-Season

Couldn't find the first team stats, but I remember the 49ers having a pathetic 2011 (Harbaugh's first season as coach) pre-season offensivley. They ended the regular season 13-3 and lost the NFC Championship game. So there's that I suppose.

Nice Line

"He paid people to make them look like they were good ideas."

We were not right to can

We were not right to can Rodriguez when we did.

Rich Rod

Yeah, I would argue that if there was hubris involved in the Rich Rod debacle it was Michigan's more than Rich Rod's. You can try and rationalize it all you want, but we should have given him a little more slack. I'd rather admit that then look for ways to blame him.

Team Effort

The apparent lack of intensity and abundance of quit is something I've noticed in more than a few Hoke era games. I think that is what depresses me most. Win or lose, I want a coach who will squeeze all the effort and potential from his players that he possibly can day in day out. That would make me happy. Instead you get a team that consistently not only doesn't meet its potential, but regresses.

"This program has a real "This program has a real knack for blaming the people who aren't around anymore for its current failings." Umm, no offense, but so does this blog.
Completely Agree

The US has a very tangible edge coming in to this game. Portugal is worse with a hurting Ronaldo then they are without him. As you say, Ronaldo doesn't make his teammates better because he forces them to play an unnatural style of soccer. In the Germany game, Portugal seemed more focused on getting Ronaldo the ball then they were on scoring.

I am expecting more of the same against the US. Ronaldo will be desperate to have a better performance than he did against Germany and will make that the team’s number one priority. This is fortunate for the US as Portugal would beat us fairly handily straight up.

That being said, the game still depends on Bradley. After re-watching the Ghana game, the US didn’t play as poorly as I had originally thought -- with the exception of Bradley.
