Well mise well play Ozzie game 4 imo. What do we have to lose? Howard obviously isnt getting the job done, and honestly not even close to what you have to expect from a Red Wings goalie. I understand that its not all him but he has allowed way to many easy goals to give the Red Wings a legitimate chance at the cup. I would like to see Ozzie in net in Game 4, see if he has any playoff majic left in the tank.
I know exactly what your saying, a very special man has passed away today. He's in a better place now though, have to look at the positive, no matter how hard it is to think there is one. He had a long difficult battle, and is much better now. Very sad day.
Hopefully the officials will look into all of the "flops" and it will come back to bite the sharks because they wont get a call unless it is a hard penalty and wont get any of the soft ones that NHL officials love to call. What do you guys think would happen if both Sammy Watkins and Arnett wanted to come, could we take 3 WR if it were those two plus obviously Conway? I mean theres talk that this class could only be 15, probably will end up bigger but i dont know how we could turn down one of the WR.
One thing that LT has said he wants to be is the featured back, which is one reason most people thought he would be released or traded this offseason. There arent many teams that would be able to do that for him, so if that is indeed a huge part of who he signs with then the Lions could have a shot at him if they want him. And on a 1-2 year deal i would like bringing him in, I dont think there is any question that he is better then Kevin Smith still, and the Lions shouldnt draft a RB in this draft, and probably not next year either. Would be a solid guy to fill in until we draft our RB of the future so to speak
I think one of the reasons people dont like this is that we arent in a big need for WR, not that he isnt good enough. If we are going to take a WR now they want it to be an elite one or none at all for the time being, which is understandable due to our depth at WR and our needs elsewhere, but the kid looks like a player to me with some of the most impressive have I have seen in a HS highlight tape. I'm happy to have the kid and hope he has a huge senior season and has all the other big time schools wishing they had offered him earlier
The speed Conway has now would probably be considered "elite" speed for a TE, i would hope so at least, if he lost alot of speed putting on the weight then it wouldnt be worth it IMO. He then becomes what alot of you(Not Me, I like the kid) seem to consider an average WR to an average at best TE prospect. Wouldnt make much sense
Yeah i thought the same thing too, but then again i dont really know why you would talk about career stats in the way he did. Makes more sense if he was talking about a season, likely last season. Either way he had one hell of a season either his Sophmore or Junior year, if not both.
