I’m curious about other people’s opinions here. Do you think we’re losing so many WRs because there has been a philosophical offensive change? Last season was probably like 55/45 run/pass…just a guess. Also just a guess is that SMASH is going to run those rushing numbers up.

There was an Alabama linebacker in every passing lane when throwing over the middle. That’s what impressed me the most about their defense. Looked like their most successful defensive gameplan piece to me. How did they manage to get a linebacker in the passing lane seemingly all game?

Agree. Saban brought power, politics and corruption into the sport and it’s now commonplace with all his thorn branches everywhere. The worst thing to happen to college football ever was Nick Saban. Not the best. From forcing guys to go on medical scholarship early in his tenure, to the corruption of the “Alabama Way” of recruiting and the power of the media on his side. Go ahead and deny it, but it’s true. The Rose Bowl was a monumental game for the future of college football. Tear down the Saban curse that’s been haunting the sport.
Great story line. Great matchup. It’s straight good versus evil. On one side, the man who changed the game forever and brought corruption, politics and power to the sport. The other side is the coach who wants to tear that all down and just hand over the power to the players. This game is monumental for the sport. Win, and tear it all down. Go Blue dammit.

It’s probably not a big deal. But I certainly believe the coach on the other team makes hay on the small details. If I was a coach, I’d have my home run play lined up for when I knew the defense was switching to the Cover 2 trap.
Defense needs to switch the signal call when switching into Palms coverage. The DBs look at each other and do ear muff signal. They’ll need to do a dummy call on the first one, then switch to normal.

I liked the point made that during Ohio’s run of dominance was when they were at the forefront of the effective offense of the time. It’s a really good point. I would argue that Michigan is now the forefront of what works on offense now. Ohio is trying to replicate Michigan. Penn State too. Got my wheels spinning with that point. Good stuff you guys

I too, was relieved, when I saw that the refs weren’t co-conspiring against Michigan. I thought for sure that they were going to call targeting on Graham even though it was borderline. So he would miss the first half of The GaXe. I was screaming in the living room that they were certainly going to screw us. Nice surprise.
Hateful persecution won one. I understand the concept of giving the attention back to the kids. But you have to fight when up against hateful persecution. Sucks so bad.

But I’ll tell you what…at least it’s been interesting and fun!” My response, “yeah. If you think hateful persecution is fun, yep. Fun.”
All that sounds good on paper. But the boys were getting whooped up front on passing plays. Blitzball all night. Play action wasn’t going to work cause there were guys in the backfield all night. If Harbaugh was there, there would’ve been some well-schemed pass plays in there. And the 3 third and long running plays was the key to the game.
I know this one may be way out of left field. But is this a case the federal government should be interested in? Like, the way the media has manipulated people’s thinking. The direct opposition to the fabric of our society as innocent until proven guilty. Guilty because accused was the infantile stage of Cambodian genocide.
I really think the President needs to make a statement in the matter. Our entire American principles are threatened with this case. It’s unprecedented and needs to be addressed before this premeditated murder by the media gains a greater foothold in our society. Just a wondering.
