Yes! Our friends at Stubbs put out a recipe for Swineapple last year. A pineapple stuffed with pulled pork and wrapped in bacon and then smoked if I recall correctly. This is certainly the game for it.
As a Detroit fan growing up and and huge nat fan having been in DC for 18 years this was a strange game/series. I love Zimmermann and Scherzer. What a game by Max.
Jebus. I am 44 and grew up in AA. What exactly are we complaining about? Michigan isn't an historical bball powerhouse. JB was the right and best hire for us. Expectations of this fan base is out of whack. We can be a clean program that can be proud or cheaters. JB is still one of the most respected coaches in the nation. Trying to campaign for his firing will only make his difficult recruiting job that much harder. Enjoy what we have and trust next year will be better.
Man, I knew along time ago that Steve knew more about football than I ever would. I was a regular at cottage inn and he was my bartender -- then he was my friend ( who I haven't seen in 17 years). Wonderful and passionate guy. Steve- we will always have a cold and snowy happy valley loss! Phil
Thanks for mentioning cancer. I rallied for church on Sunday to find a member of our close-knit congregation died on Saturday (not from watching football) from cancer. He was 17. It certainly put my sorrow in perspective and yes, fuck cancer. Spent Sunday hugging my kids and emotionally hugging Blake.
A few die-hard friends and fellow MGoBloggers were considering getting a bus to take a group of us there. Most of the folks I talked with live in DC proper (most on Capitol Hill) but maybe we could use the lot at RFK and meet there? If there is interest we can revisit in a few weeks. Heading out of town now...
We had the same experience. I had the best 7th grade English teacher who gave extra credit for wearing maize and blue on Fridays. I'm sure this would be frowned upon today.
The good news is that it stuck.
I spent the first 27 years in Ann Arbor and the last 16 in Washington DC. I am raising two kids in DCPS. Parts of me pine for living in and being a parent in AA. What I love about my neighborhood could be duplicated in the west end of AA sans the great free museums. I have come to love walking and biking everywhere and that can be done in AA.
Being a product of Burns Park, Slauson (my mom taught there which is why I didn't go to Tappan) and the PiHi I would say it would be harder to find better public schools.
If you can find a job that will allow you to live close in to downtown AA then I would say do it.
I don't even know how to react to your comment. Smoking weed is safer than drinking and the NCAA is flat wrong to make this judgement. They are adjusting the penalty on the fly in reaction. I don't smoke weed but I drink. I think the hipocrosy is insane.
Don't give us the bs about priorities. He would have been a student, happily, for another year had the NCAA stayed out of his personal life. Ask Mark Emmert if he ever smoked and if that hurt his college performance.
This might be the last straw for me and watching college sports (which I love). The NCAA is beyond hope...
listen to Bob Carpenter and FP Santangelo (a MI native) do the Nats broadcast. They are good without being too homerish. I think it will be channel 640 (or 641 if the O's game got the prime channel).
FedEx is an abomination. There are more accurate words but aren't appropriate for this (or any) forum.
Horrible location. Erector Set construction. Generally obnoxious and drunk fans.
Let's look at baseball for a quick comparison. Jeter and Wade bogs have very similar numbers over long careers. Jeter is better than bogs ever was in pressure situations. Clutch in the regular season means nothing. Ice in the veins during the playoffs is everything. Jeter and Brady will be remembered as winners
Living in DC since 1997 I am surrounded by PSU fans. Redskin fans complain that Fedex is like a steelers home game. It will be way worse for IU. I guess I will don my red cap (oh wait I don't own anything red) and go support IU.

Sharik (ck?). I also think that he was a bartender at cottage inn when he was a student.
walking distance from home and they let you bring your own wine (not that we need to perpetuate a stereo-type).
in the ND game the only name that works is McGumby!
