Well, first off, Rutgers isn’t weak. They are a decent football team. Also, aside from the Washington game, Michigan has been up so much that they mostly pulled the starters by the start of the second half. So I agree our playmakers should get the ball more, but against “weak” competition we are blowing their doors off and haven’t had as much usage with the starters.
Oh my god! He hasn’t played all year for a reason! He’s not ready. They played Giles Jackson, Sanristil, and Dax Hill. As well as Hinton. They obviously play freshmen that are ready to play. But by all means yes there must be this conspiracy against Mazi Smith.

They sure seem to have a great game plan against Wisconsin and Penn State last year when we destroyed them. We had a great terrible weather game plan against MSU as well when we held them to 93 yards on offense. That's just last year. Two of the four games against OSU we almost won because we had better game plans but got jobbed on a bad spot one year and had terrible QB play the next year. The other two years we got out coached. It happens. Other teams are good at football too.
On the surface it seems ridiculous they offered a seventh grader but here’s a thought I had:
In Europe, every soccer club has a youth academy with players his age or even younger and it’s completely normal. You can tell elite talent and athleticism at an early age. Just because he was offered doesn’t mean he will commit or end up at michigan. Just in case he does end up being an elite player he will always remember Michigan was the first to offer him and it may help in his final decision in the far far future. I don’t have a problem with it.
If any person told me how I should live my life and or what I should do with my career without knowing one thing about myself or my circumstances, I would have to tell that person to politely kick rocks.
Rudock played at a high level by the time he was done and Speight was tracking upward until the injury against Iowa. Speight hasn’t been the same since that injury.
Bill Kurelic himself said he was told DPJ was recruiting for Michigan this weekend. I think OSU saw that the deal was done and made an all out last ditch effort. I applaud that. I think Harbaugh and company would do the same. I think he's going Blue!
Flew down to West Palm Beach and am awatching THE GAME with one of my best buddies who is a Buckeye. Going to an Ohio State bar with him. It will be me and two hundred buckeye jabronis. I think we will win this game!! I will be respectful whatever the outcome but, man I hope I can live it up down here! Go Blue!!
Very anxious! Sitting in the Lisbon airport waiting for my flight to Boston to get back to Detroit. I land at 5pm. If everything goes perfect I may be able to watch the 4th quarter in the airport or a Michigan friendly bar. Your thoughts and concerns are appreciated during this trialsome time. Go blue!!
If this kid really wanted to go to michigan, he would not let a situation like this cause his decommitment. This is the new era of recruiting. We cannot get either high or low when these kids commit or decommit. I trust Harbaugh and his staff will tighten things up if indeed this really happened. More importantly I trust this staff to turn any kid that really wants to play for them into a productive player. We took it on the chin today but this season will still be magical. Win the B1G and beat freakin MSU and OSU and we won't even remember this day.
I cannot believe how quickly some of us have thrown shade at Harbaugh and his staff. This is just one year after he walked into this program, changed the culture around, won us ten games, and all around brought Michigan back into the mainstream of college football. Have some faith people! I hope Onwenu goes Blue but we will win with him or without him. Not because Harbaugh can climb trees or any other of his recruiting tactics, but because he's the best coach in all of football!
What does Northern California have that Ann Arbor doesn't?.... Well Ann Arbor is still a wonderful city regardless. All the best to you young man, sad to see you go.
I hate to admit it but that dang Dabo is likable. So that is a bit concerning, but I really feel confident Gary is going Blue! That unofficial last weekend tells me all I need to know. Michigan is a place he feels comfortable and enjoys being around. We have done everything right in his recruitment.
I don't love that other schools are gaining ground in Gary's recruitment, but I still would rather be us than them. We are the leaders for him if you believe what you read. I am still confident we get this man-child!
