f-yeah

i couldn't f_kin agree more.  go blue.

(couldn't resist)

thank you

thank you, thank you for negging me.  neg me more please.  i'm not going for a flame-out here, i just love getting negged.  feels good.

and chunkums i didn't even write about my points, i don't care about points, i just wanted to give a +1 to someone, but couldn't, so I wrote in favor to them, liked their post.  you may be more overly-sensitive than my wife.  chill out and go back to M Football...

+1 in spirit

that is a great image for the star-rating overhype-aganza.  i was just reading that book to my two boys the other night.  i would +1'ya but the mods took away my voting privleges because I started a forum topic that was negative toward osu.  anyways, +1 to you in spirit...

perhaps, but...

first Quinton Washington is a mountain god Defensive Lineman, not so much a DE.

your forgetting Bryon Moore out of USC.... yes please.

what about Marvin Robinson's prison abs replacing Kovacs?

i agree with Brian

at this point i don't care who the replacement is as long as they come in and do one f_king scheme and do it f_king well.  look at Iowa, they run a relatively simple defense and they excel at it.  who's megamind idea is it to take a bunch of young inexperienced players and have them switching up schemes constantly when not one of them is working out sufficiently...  i'm no defensive megamind but when I see Iowa do what they do, make it simple make it successful, i'm all in...

pullin the scholly

can they pull the scholly on Gibbons?  Aren't scholly's one-year commitments from the school?  I heard there is a move or petition to require schools to provide four-year scholly's but right now they are one-year limits.

i am not a big fan of any school renigging on a scholarship for a student athlete, but isn't that something that happens across the country?  with Gibbons doing no more than keeping the bench from flying away would they not pull it in favor of giving it to a new recruit kicker?

lack of safeties

there is a lack of safeties in this which is concerning.  (not to take anything away from Tim's excellent article, thank you)

there is info on two CB's, but no safeties.  with Big Play Ray as our starting safety right now, and no positive news regarding Karlos Williams, HaHa, Avery Walls, Wayne Lyons... well, shucks, color me concerned about the future of this position.

I suppose Woolfolk could move back to a safety spot next year, but....

We need to be bringing in safety recruits like whoa...

and I agree about Crockett, we've got a stud down-hiller in Hopkins, lets focus on D!!!!

fav play of the year...

that stop by Big Play Ray is my favorite play of the year!  I want not only a still shot of that, but I want a big ass poster, i want one of those big ass sticky posters you put on your walls... damn that was solid.  a small true freshman coming up and sticking their leading rusher which weights 40-50 pounds more.  dude, dude, i'm still geekin' out about it....

all the more reason

all the more reason to keep RR.  I know the horse has been beaten, but come'on anti-RR's, do you not see the potential?  he's doing this with a young football team.  keep RR, fire Gerg, bring in a Pelini-type to compliment the offensive jugernaut that we have and will be developing.  to me it is a no-brainer.  not too many coaches step into a new situation and succeed off-the-bat, especially not to Michigan football standards.  In RR I trust (except on defense)...  In RR offense I trust...

picked the wrong week...

looks like i picked the wrong week to stop doing Strappado while listening to growl music...

well, back to it....

i know it would be bad...

i know it would further hurt our defense, but.... if I was James Rogers I would run run run away and hide in a dimly lit padded room somewhere remote in northern Canada.

Sincerely,

Not Kidding Guy

imagine if we had an average D...

if we had an FBS average defense, along with our #4 ranked offense and #1 ranked rusher as our quarterback, imagine what our record and future would look like...

we will again someday field an average defense, and along with that average defense we will have the best offense in the country with upperclassmen running the show.

it will happen; just not as quickly as we'd like...

imagine

can you imagine if we had an FBS-average defense?  our defense is ranked around 107 out of 120 teams, right?  imagine if we fielded just an average defense ranked around 50th or 60th.  with our #4 ranked offense and the leading rusher in the nation as our quarterback.

someday our D will be average again... its just a matter of time (and the right personnel on that side of the ball).  around that time our offense will be full of upperclassmen.  can you imagine?  DB and RR are building something, just wait and see...

well put...

of all of  the post-PSU calamity-writing this above post by Princeton is the best I've read.

kudos, your post should be read by all...

please mail your tickets

please mail your tickets to me.  honestly if you are not going to use your season tickets remaining I would love to have them and cheer on the team.  I have a PO Box.  Just let me know...  Go Blue...

it was a collective

a collective of all the Michigan fans welling up and it almost came out of his eyes... like mine....

we are oregon...

we are Oregon with with the worst defense in america.

it is clear what our problem is.  its not a systemmatic issue.  we continue to make our offense the best in the country, and our defense can only get better.

each year that goes by will get better, just not fast enough for what we want.

think of how young we are.  i pray they keep RR...

unleash

Unleash Hell !!!!

oh that's old...

that image with "oh! I see what you did there" is so damn tired....

question

would you rather have a third year Tate or a second year Gardner?  Honestly, I would take a second year Gardner.  His potential is greater, size and durability (hopefully) is better.

That being the case you have next year three year Denard, second year Devin, and moderate stud in the making freshman.  Where does Tate come into this equation?

I know some of you may point to the Iowa game and Tate's comeback, and the few games he outright won for us as a freshman, and say Tate's the man.  Tate is definately the man, but not in this system at this level over time.  In my opinion...

the reviews

the reviews I have read of Dee (specifically from his Hello post) comment that he is not a home run threat, that he does not have home run or great speed.  he is fast, but not "aboverage" as I recall.  shifty, great hands, not overly fast....

that being said i am excited to see a backfield with Hopkins and Dee mixing it up.  Imagine 2012 with Hopkins here 2.5 years and Dee here 1.5 years into the program... oh, and Denard too.

weight room stud

isn't QW the strongest in the weight room?  i swear i heard that somewhere...

every big ten game is

every big ten game is RR's redemption and revenge game, unfortunately because he's only beaten three big ten teams in 2.5 years...

it will be nice to see

it will be nice to see the defense improving significantly each of the coming years, with the development of our youth and the recruitment of top-notch and ready players such as Bryon Moore, and other solid defensive recruits...  we have some exciting years ahead of us gentlemen...

that is

very telling...

helmet

it would be very cool to pull off a helmet with wings.  the 'M' in the picture from Geaux_Blue is very clear, and could easily make a helmet with wings, it would need to be bigger than the 'M', but that coordination and photos/images would be bad ass for a long time.

dee"s mom?

has Dee's mom visited Bama?

mom visit auburn?

has Dee's mom visited Auburn?  I assume so, but if she hasn't..... Hello Dee. (yes I did knock on wood)

think positive...

RR commented the other day that he believes there will be (can't remember exact number) around 7 early enrollees.  perhaps RR believes Dee is one of them.

If he does commit next week then he will commit (somewhere) when Michigan is undefeated, with a top 5 offense, and ranked.  what more could Michigan do to start off this season.

Denard doing what he does allowed Shaw to have his way.  Dee sees this.

Dee Hart will be here in January.  Dee Hart will get Barwisized.  Dee and Denard are going to blow up Bama in 12....

robot

she's a media robot.... and i still would...

disagree

he is a true freshman and we have at least one very capable backup.  he will have a long bad-ass career at M.  the more weeks he can add to his rehab the better in the long run.  start working him in after 3-4 weeks at earliest.  servicable replacements at that position (unfortunately not throughout the D).

add JT

someone should add JT Floyd's forced fumble hit versus UConn.  Shit was badass....

its just "wind"

its just "wind".  damn we need saturday to get here...

if the forecast called for gale force wind 30-40 mph then i could see a thread for it...

if it is really windy that may be in our favor as it may make UConn second guess throwing bombs to test our weak secondary.  i could see them trying to pound the ball on the ground then airing out some deep ones, but if it is really windy then perhaps they wont for fear of wobbly interseptions.  we are not a deep ball team so not a big deal for us... again, if its crazy windy....

This is Fail...

So where is the good news from this?

Bringing on number 12 was good news, that team being Nebraska was good news IMO, having a championship game is good news.

Any entertainment of moving the signature game of the conference, the greatest college football rivalry, which has been playing in the last game since 1935, any idea of changing any aspect of this game is bad news, bad news, bad news.

Jim Delaney, Pimp Brandon, Gene Smith all publicly saying its going to change... all bad news...

Bad news has less of an impact as the years go by... but, bad news and bad ideas remain bad news and bad ideas even when the publicity settles...  This is Fail.

Lots of Slots t-shirt

"...we have lots and lots and lots of slots."

This would make for a great T-shirt...  The Cat in the Hat (but the hat has wings) and the text "We have lots and lots and lots of slots".

I want one.  Can anyone hook that up?

perspective and emotion

i humbly agree and accept the perspective.  my emotion got the best of me as I have heard that comparison made many times and have high aspirations for Mr. Gardner, on and off the field...

wow

i am shocked that so many have not heard that comparison made.  every time I hear about Gardner (outside of UM followers) I hear two names come up for comparison, Vince Young and Terrell Pryor.  One makes sense the other is just not right...

hilarious

that is a frickin hilarious caption.  or no, its not, it can't possibly be, but if it is then it may be hilarious....

i stand by my name...

i stand by my name.  and the freepcreep does not deserve any of our attention...

oh adam...

^^^^ the Mitochondrial Adam ladies and gentlemen....

awesome

love it, just f-in excited.  i hope this may warm up the seats of Walsh and Zettel and get them a little antsy to go blue sooner than later......

per Tom VH

Tom just tweeted that Jake will be giving his speech around 8:50-9pm ET....

the D's and our biggest concern...

i am looking forward to the Denard/Devin and D.Hart show whereas the Dilithium results in our biggest concern being our Defense not being able get a drink on the sidelines as they will be running back out to the field after two plays and a touchdown...

did indeed, then

I did indeed think about that, but then thought others might be wondering the same thing since it is not shown/listed/noted on TTB (at least that i could find).  And since Magnus trolls around these parts I thought it to be a sufficient place to learn the answer to my question...

Thank you Foote Fetish for hooking-it-up.....

magnus signal...

at times like these i wish we had a Magnus Signal like the bat signal we have for TomVH.

i am very curious to hear Magnus's review of Kitchen's game and potential.  I appreciate his insights as they are grounded and not optimistic just for the sake of optimism...

born and raised in...

i was born and raised in Ohio.  all my family OSU fans.  i grew up from young age a die-hard Michigan fan.  through years of heckling and jokes my skin grew to 4" thick.  while working at construction sites I wore my Wolverine Hard-hat helmet.  I am proud to say I stayed the course and made it out of Ohio.  Go Blue!

holy shit, seriously

wow.  you come on today and say that?

where are you from?  care to share your thoughts?  i am not going to get negative here, i welcome new insight.  but what do you disagree with?

walking into a party and squeezing out an SBD is not the way to be involved and have fun......

como?

como again?  i don't like this weird Iowa-space-warp thing....
