Have you seen anywhere for sure that Warriner will be scholarship as I see you have him in your 86? Several have asked question about this or whether he will be a walk on. Touch The Banner has count at 85 because they say he is walking on.
I'm guessing he is scholarship but have not seen confirmation either way from anyone at Michigan as most news media articles on the transfer said Michigan and Warriner didnt respond to questions.
Comments like this make no sense. You think players can tell if the boos were at them or the clock management? Of course the players will feel the boos were at them.
Is there any way to find out who truly was granted a medical redshirt as freshman last year? I know Brian made educated guesses on the "Depth Chart by Class" site but there is nothing here to tell if those are right or wrong. Last 2 years, Michigan also only showed school class but any close fan knew what eligibility each of those players actually had left even if it said senior. Last year there were several freshman who played that Brian later put in the redshirt column because of which games they played and that they would be eligible for one if a medical reason was used.
This comment makes no sense. If you assume that Shelton Johnson is no longer with team and that Jordan Glasgow gets a scholarhsip, then Michigan would be at 85..so no open scholarships.
Article says Michigan was at 85 before departure of Kingston Davis. What am I missing? The page on this blog still has it at 86 scholarships after his departure. Only things I can think of are:
- Perhaps constant whispers about a DL having left are true.
- This site counts Drake Johnson in the 86 but he isnt mentioned at all above.
Did he commit? The tweet in question just says he is going to Ann Arbor...it could be interpreted that he will visit Michigan. I wasnt sure it meant he committed.
Glad he got to announce it now. While the writing was on the wall, I thought it was pretty bad how he was removed from depth chart on this blog a few weeks ago when rumors came out. Brian also didnt include him on next year depth chart feature on blog when he did it the other day despite Morris never saying anything about it yet. I know this was likely to happen but when you still have Shallman on it but remove Morris before he says anything then it means you arent being too consistent with your reasoning.
The decision to invite him back or not is entirely based upon their view of Robinson/Cheesman. Unless you have been to practice alot and have good insight into that, its hard for anyone here to say they knew this was coming. Its a matter of weighing the extra scholarship vs the dropoff to the next guy. There certainly will be a dropoff as Sypniewski is starting over those guys but hard to comment from the mgoblog board as to the extent of the difference.
Maybe silly is the wrong word to use. It would be pointless for me to say that i read in the detroit news today that some Michigan coach said anything because that info would have already been known be virtually everyone. I guess that is how I think these threads will become. I think the poster below said it best that Twitter is poor for discussion so the board has relevance for discussion topics....but for certain threads that are based on nothing but a tweet then they arent that great for discussion anyways.
Sometimes i wonder if the main purpose of the message board is to communicate all relevant tweets to those who refuse to look at twitter....photo gets tweeted of Dantonio/harbaugh >>> thread shows up immediately after...Nick B tweets a few quotes from Jabrill >>> thread shows up immediately after.
Im not criticizing the threads...just wondering if this will look silly at some point in the future...like if someone said they read something in the paper this morning and posted it as if there was any chance everyone hadnt seen it by then.
Nowhere...there has been no indication he will get it yet. Brian's mention in the podcast does not raise the probability at all so there is no news in this thread.
Totally disagree - there was nothing icy about it - you are just trying to create a fake narrative based on your perception of a handshake. I saw several photos of them laughing and talking on the field before the game. After the game, they shook hands and then moved on. They werent going to have tea at midfield after game.
He won the special teams MVP the prior week vs Illinois...each week the prior week special teams MVP gets to go out for coin toss with the two captains
Honestly, I think its just the way Justice writes. He is not very good and seems to throw in lines like that all the time without realizing he is supposed to have sources to back it up and not just his opinion by reading other sites.
Writers need to get quotes first before writing the story...if youve read the last few pressers, clearly that story is about to be written by multiple writers.
Gedeon started against Ohio State and had 5 tackles against them his true freshman year. I find it strange that people still complain about someone who started a game his freshman year not redshirting.
It wouldnt make sense the other way...it would allow the better teams more of a chance to medically redshirt players than the mediocre teams would get.
Is Brady Pallante still working with the team in some capacity? I didnt know if he might still be helping out the coaches or working with the strength staff. There was someone in a white polo on the sidelines during the game that looked exactly like him. As a matter of fact, this person (whether it was Pallante or not)had his fist raised along with the group of players during the anthem.
The 5th year senior is the issue..not the 4th game. If he hadnt taken his redshirt before, he would be able to take a medical redshirt. The rule is 30% of scheduled game but it rounds up to next game so rounds up to 4...so this is last game for him to get the medical redshirt. But like you pointed out, he already took a redshirt so 6th year is pretty unlikely as you have to prove he was injured for multiple years. Yes i know - Ed davis one is questionable so maybe he could get it. On a separate note, I have to say im already sick of seeing 10 replies about Ed Davis any time a redshirt issue comes up.
You are making an assumption that those offers are still real. It also lists he has an offer from Michigan and clearly that is not real anymore. Those other schools may have found other players or no longer think as highly of him.
Two more injuries you haven’t talked about yet: Noah Furbush and Drake Johnson. Can you update us on their statuses?
“Yeah, they were both out for the ballgame this past week. We’ll see where they’re at this week. Noah may be working through something a little bit longer than Drake. We’ll see.
I find that totally bizarre as whoever it is probed with the same 2 questions last week. I know Poggi is not on the official coaching staff so there are some restrictions as to what he can do on field..its almost as if someone is trying to get Harbaugh to say Poggi is doing something that he isnt allowed to be doing in that role to get Michigan in trouble.
Adam - i know you dont like to identify who asks what..but im dying to know who is asking those Poggi questions 2 weeks in a row.
