Mod- can we change the Boulder, CO location to The Post Brewing Co (2027 13th St, Boulder, CO 80302) and add a new location in Frisco, Co: Ollie's Pub (620 E Main St, Frisco, CO 80443)?
It's somewhat amazing that the team is even competive in the Midwest region, let alone at the national level. When I was on the team, I had friends from HS that went to Northern and they were way more serious than even the most dedicated racers on our team (they had coaches and trained daily at Marquette Mtn). The only thing competitive about the team back then was the flip cup (Captain's challenge anyone?) and the only thing we were known for was epic parties. Kudos to the team, glad to hear about the success! Go Blue!
I recently heard of a professor in Notre Dame's Business School that was using similar numbers (pre-college scouting rank, post-college draft rank) to determine the effectiveness of coaching staffs'. Interesting to think that over a number of years (say 5), some schools bring in a lot more high quality than come out of their program. Obviously there are probably a few other factors to consider, but on an aggregate basis these numbers probably say a lot about the effectiveness of the coaches that are in place and whether are not they are able to develop the talent which they recruit.
