Name a good blocking TE in the past 10 years as a true freshmen. Go back and watch Koger get blown up as an under sized TE his freshmen year. How about funchess? Should I keep going back? I always enjoy, I don't know which game you're watching. Hell, half of this site has no clue what they are looking at, if someone is reach blocking, zone blocking, slide blocking, hooking, releasing, etc. I always enjoy the well Brian puts up his stats, good for Brian, who runs a site, and his many years coaching the sport. Oh, that's right, he hasn't. Anyways, show me a better blocking TE as a true freshmen in the past 10 years as a true freshmen. Good luck.

Aside from breaking that mcgary and gr3 were coming.
Sam Webb is the best source for all things Michigan recruiting. It is not even close. He essentially works with the athletic department, he has access that not a single scout, rivals, or espn source has. If there is some bett than Sam please do tell. Remember half of the information on here is simply regurgitated from other sites.

I disagree he was bad, he took a step back from freshmen to sophomore year. Again, I think it has a lot to do with the weight.

Maybe because the coaches see him and thought he should start over a rjr?

Lewis and Taylor play on opposite sides of the field.
In pess covage you want Taylor, who is more physical and a stronger player. Blake, unless he is playing zone, is burnt toast a good majority of the time. Go back and watch his picks, he is either in the right place at the right time, see off Taylor's foot v nd, or dropping into zone, see Minnesota. I'd much rather see Blake at nickel, Lewis and Taylor, and if ss is still a question mark you stick peppers there.

Williams had a very promising freshmen season while playing near 285, than dropped to 260ish and got pushed around. I'm not sure why he felt the need to drop that much weight, but I'd like to see him back around 290.

Rjs started at Sam in the spring, Ryan at mike, and bolden at will.
Second group was Ross at Sam, Morgan at mike, and Ben at will.

I find it odd that she has darboh starting and he has yet to get any contact or seen any live action coming off an injury. Meanwhile Chesson is the best blocker on the team at wr, the fastest, and showed promise in his first chance to get playing time.
She is simply guessing.
|14 weeks 4 days ago||It looks like scout got it||
It looks like scout got it right and everyone else got it wrong on green. Determining who will be a stud is not an exact science, it basically a guess.
I am more surprised that darboh would be ahead of Chesson, considering he didn't go through any contact drills or get any live scrimmage time.
Lewis and hill both had outstanding springs, and I am not sure how she is making the guess,many lets remember here people she is simply guessing, when the imperial evidence points to something else.
|14 weeks 4 days ago||Williams had a very nice||
Williams had a very nice freshmen season as basically a 6th ol. He decided to drop nearly 30 pounds and has been awful ev since. He'd be better off playing at 280 than 260. That has been a big part of the problem.

This is comical.
Let's lay a couple things to rest. Ohio state, especially from a professional school standpoint, is better than Syracuse. Their business, med, and law, the big three, are all ranked higher.
Secondly, unc is one of the top public schools in e country, usually a spot behind Michigan. Comical who they lost to.
Creighton? They are a bett school than Wisconsin? In what? Wisconsin actually has mor fortune 500 ceo's than any public in the tournament. Look it up.
Michigan v duke is a wash. Duke is a great school, so is Michigan, but duke gets the nod based on being a private and mor selective. My wife went to law school there, and I went to um, so they are both highly respected.
Creighton over duke? Now that is the biggest joke of all. Duke is a top 10 law, med, and business. Creighton is none of these.
|24 weeks 4 days ago||Exactly! This guy is an||
Exactly! This guy is an endless self-promoter and has a cult like following, yet I've always subscribed to the notion that the proof is in the pudding. I have a friend that was a GA under Barwis at WVU, went to Deleware, than Marshall University. He has told me point blank that there isn't a big difference in Barwis and the next S&C coach, aside from his personality and endless self-promotion. He said ask around the world of S&C and his name isn't synonyms with the best. Tommy Moffitt (LSU) is considered the best in the business, along with guys such as Mickey Marroti at Ohio State, Scott Cochran (Bama and Moffitt taught), etc.

I've read all of your responses in this thread, bravo. A good majority of these people have no clue what an athletic director does, nor how an athletic department opperates. Most of the people commenting on DB daily, are morons who have no clue what they are talking about and base their opinion on some stupid Bacon article saying other AD's don't watch film, only to go on the radio the next day and say he has no idea what other AD's do across the country. Brandon has revamped our outdated brand. Our facilities sucked from the 90's-early 2000's. They were old, outdated, and really just awful. We had old scorboards not capable of doing much of anything aside from keeping score. If you've been to the big house, crisler, or yost in the past 5 years, you can see the facility improvements. You can see things like under the lights changing the culture of the gameday experience at Michigan. Brandon is responsible for Under the lights I and II, Winter Classic, etc. He is doing a damn good job. I am a high school athletic director at a very large school in Michigan, and worked in college athletics, and our AD would sit in on football film review when I was there. It is pretty common place. I do it at the high school level. I do it for evaluation reasons, I am able to see what the coaches see, to see them come up with a game plan with the other coaches, how they are going to improve certain aspects of their skill development drills, and than communicate it and execute it during the week. I am able to see during the week if it is effective or not.

Watch and see. Similar size, similar body lean while running, always falls forward, great finisher. I watched the same clips as the rest of the world, go back and watch Green get bounced outside by Willie Henry in the 1st scrimmage. Anyways, I hope Green wins a heisman, but I really like Smith. This info has been shared on other sites as well, that if we start the season today, Fitz #1, followed by Smith.

Two very very large human beings play LG, I have plenty of confidence in both. RB-Many will be surprised that it will be Smith and not Green who will emerge as the #2 option to Fitz. Green still dances and tries to bounce outside, Smith is a Timmy B throwback.

You're an idiot. Plain and simple. The culture is southern outside of Loudoun County (metro-DC area). I am southern, you're some guy who transplanted and thinks they have some understanding of what it means to be southern. When the capital of the confederacy is in your state, you're the south. WV split from Virginia when they were southern colonies. I don't know what your definition of southern is, but because a ste is not Mississippi isn't a good one. Saying Kentucky, Tenessee, or NC aren't the south is something someone not from the south would say. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_United_States

An agrument can be made the very little of Florida is the south, in the sense of southern culture. If Virginia is anything other than the south, it is appalachia, which is very much the south add mountains. I lived in North Carolina and West Virginia, ask anyone born in the south, Virginia is the south.
|51 weeks 6 days ago||You than sir are an idiot||
You than sir are an idiot from a geographical and historical sense. Go to any best souther schools and it will always include Virginia. Virginia litterally touches 4 states that are all considered the south, with Maryland being the only one not considered the south. Richmond was the Capital of the south. Google the south, look at a map, it will include Virginia. Go to UVa, they very much consider themselves the gentlemen of the south. I was born in North Carolina, it is the south. In every way a state can be southern, it is the south. This is a pointless conversation, if you're too stupid to understand basic geography than all logic is lost on you.

One lives 35 minutes from the big house. I tend to make a pretty large assumption that the coaches can easily make contact with him, Hand not so much. You can bet that there will be someone from UM at every Southfield game, Hand not so much. McDowell has named UM as his leader is several stories, I am not sure how much more interested you can be.

Sam Webb confirmed it this morning. They aren't in A2 and were supposed to be yesterday.
|51 weeks 6 days ago||Don't see why it is||
Don't see why it is surprising most think McDowell is more likely? McDowell is a Michigan kid, just moved to Southfield, will be playing with Michigan commit Lawrence Marshall. Meanwhile, Hand is in the south, will be pulled in all directions, and though we are leading, there is always room for an SEC school to swoop in. Anyways, most likely we get McDowell, Hand, and someone off the radar currently. Fournette is not coming to Michigan, in fact he won't be here this weekend even.

Agreed, however, the recruiting pitch my wife received from UM Law was "your from Michigan, you should know why you should come here", direct quote from the Dean. When she took her trips to Chicago Law and Duke Law, very different experience.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||How so? My wife went to UM||
How so? My wife went to UM undergrad and Duke for Law School. She loved both, and I'd even say that she liked Durham better. It is really nice to sit on your pation in December and enjoy a beer, can't do that in A2.
A2 has better athletic teams, Harvard has Boston right around the corner.
