Ya heard me.
|1 day 19 hours ago||Bottom Line||
All parties agree that Michigan was going to honor Pipkins' scholarship. The only remotely reasonable "debate" is the level of pressure applied. Harbaugh could have said "OK, keep at it, buddy" and kept him sidelined. He's been more direct with the player, and as recently noted on a completely unrelated story, it's a free country. If anyone is lying here, it is about minutiae anyway.
Sad to see him leave. Sadder that such a young man has gone through the injuries he has. Not much more need be said.

A new one I just heard:
I haven't talked to my wife in years. I didn't want to interrupt her.
(OK, so maybe that's two lines, but come on - gold)

*I live in Europe.

Just like always.
|6 weeks 1 day ago||I had a fall wedding||
But it was in Argentina, so that meant it took place in April. Worked out great as we got a lot more for our money. Drawback was that many friends couldn't make the very long trip.
My advice: Focus on the three things most important to you and only worry about those. Something will go wrong, so don't worry if it's not perfect.
Oh, and start as early as possible. You don't want to be running around those last few weeks.
|6 weeks 1 day ago||Michigan||
But both are pretty good.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||Of the others I've been to, I'd rank 'em:||
(And counting the overall experience, tailgating, etc.)
3) Rose Bowl
4) Notre Dame
5 (tied) Wisconsin, Tennessee, Cotton Bowl (OU/Texas)
9) Stagg Bowl (D3 championship)
12) Ohio State (stadium is great, but people - not so friendly)
18) Cocktail Party (UF/UGA in Jacksonville)
Looked in on Georgia's stadium from the outside, and it looks superb. Same with MSU and Iowa, but not the superb part.
Just my two cents...

I'm obviously not up to speed, but what is Meyer doing that has crossed the line?
|13 weeks 13 hours ago||Oh goodness||
That list is horrible. Lebron #2? Kobe above all the people they put him above? Messi all the way down at #12? More jokey nonsense from the WWL...
|13 weeks 2 days ago||Oh and Bill Hicks, too||
He was before his time...
|13 weeks 2 days ago||Greg Giraldo||
Not a month goes by that I don't get pissed off all over again that he's gone. Dude was the best.
|13 weeks 3 days ago||My silly list||
1. The Big Lebowski
2. Trading Places
3. Dr. Strangelove
4. This is Spinal Tap
That was harder than I expected - had to cut: Caddyshack, The Blues Brothers, Annie Hall, Groundhog Day, Rushmore, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Coming to America, Borat, and Clerks.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||Ah||
I guess that's MGoK.
Am I doing this right?

Isn't the MGoWife just Brian's wife?

I will never understand the Hoke apologists. Yes, he recruited good kids, and yes in many cases they seemed to play with effort. But his coaching was simply unpardonable. That he never should have been Michigan's head coach is not his fault.
Hoke had one very lucky season, but after that he embarrassed Michigan week after week. He did so via poor team preparation, coaching, in-game decisions, and press conferences. And for those rallying to the "good guy" argument, very few of us really know any public figures. Seeing quotes from colleagues who know him personally is not powerful data. He had his fair share of "not-so-good-guy" moments, whether it was leaving Shane Morris in the game or leaving Gibbons on the team. One can chalk this up to foolishness, but then I don't see the reason to defend a fool.
As far as negativity on this blog, Brandon received far more, and at least we don't see too many Brandon apologists. Because what the hell would they even say?
Appreciate the heartfelt post, but it's one part strawman, one part blinders.

|21 weeks 15 hours ago||Ranking||
Michigan has the 49th rated class on rivals. But just going by average rating without regard to total number of recruits, Michigan is 21st. sure, 21st isn't anything to crow about, but given the timing, I don't think anyone should be complaining. Nobody's actually complaining, right?
Next step: Win some football games. It's all schrodinger's cat until then...

Seems like a fantastic kid. He carries himself through an interview better than 95% of pro athletes!

Only thing showing up on a google news search is this one:
...which says he's staying put. The main point of that moment (uh, a couple weeks ago) was that he wasn't entering the draft. But it still seems like a commitment unless something surprising happened.
And on Jan 26th, Shaw said he's staying:

8:30 Am is 5:30 in Los Angeles. That's really freaking early over by there. Just sayin'.
|21 weeks 3 days ago||It's Dierdorf's fault||
Check out this article:
"As Bo was sitting in Mirer's living room, Dan Dierdorf, a Michigan man, points out on the air that no Michigan quarterback has thrown an NFL touchdown pass," Jim Harbaugh's father, Jack, recalled. "Bo was taken aback at the time, and didn't really know what to say."
|21 weeks 3 days ago||Does not seem correct||
This from Benny Friedman's Wikipedia profile:
In 1927, Friedman joined his hometown Cleveland Bulldogs in the National Football League. After a successful rookie season in Cleveland, he had a spectacular second year playing for the Detroit Wolverines. In 1928, Friedman led the NFL in passing touchdowns, rushing touchdowns and scoring as well as extra points (He may have led in other categories, too, but the NFL did not record yardage stats in those days.)
