Don't rule them out yet, ESPN will do their best to get them into the BCS game.

"you have to know he is 5-10yrds short most of the time"
Not sure if you mistyped, but it was a different kicker for the final FGA.

Maybe there is some history between you and The FannMan, but I read it as an example the hiring outside of Michigan can be just as bad rather than an argument that it is always bad.
/pow, used logic

Ignorant argument? What part of what The FannMan said was argumentative? What he said was as close to fact as you can get.

Don't give Borges any ideas...
|1 week 3 days ago||You are comparing Borges's||
You are comparing Borges's 3rd year to RR's first two years. Does that sound like a fair comparison? Borges's should have planned better for the lack of experience. At least RR's offense improved in year 3.

Or RR could have taken less money like Hoke did to get the DC he wanted.

IIRC, his career was pretty promising before he messed up his hand in a bar fight or something.

I agree on giving Funk more time, but I think the offensive line as a whole will be slightly worst next year. So I'm not sure if one year is reasonable enough for Funk to have the line moving in the right direction.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Based on Westwood's post, you||
Based on Westwood's post, you must be young. That is no excuse, you obviously haven't been coached correctly, firing your position coach is the only way to improve.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||"Its not about Funks||
"Its not about Funks father,technique, or Borges"
Let me take an extreme hypothetical example to show that it is arguably mostly Borges fault. So if you have an offensive line that is great in pass blocking and terrible in run blocking, and then you call run plays the majority of the time, then yes, it is the offensive coordinators fault. Granted we don't have a great pass blocking offensive line, but there are ways to coach around that to a certain extent.

Braylon is your favorite over Charles Woodson, Desmond Howard, Tom Brady, etc? Not saying you are wrong, I'm just surprised.

Additionally, this was just one game. Let's wait and see if they have success like this again before we bury Fitz. And if we do, then why did it take this long for the coaches to figure this out?

So are you saying that our performance this year had minimal affect on Hand going to Alabama?
|3 weeks 4 days ago||I still think Funk deserves||
I still think Funk deserves the benefit of the doubt. It is not his fault Borges keeps calling runs over the weakest part of our line. That and RB blocking has made matters worse (I don't think that is his responsibility). Also, it seems like every 3rd down is over 8 yards, that pretty much opens the playbook for the DC to run about anything they want.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||That could send the wrong||
That could send the wrong message that his offense is unstoppable... who am I kidding, no one would be that dumb...
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Well part of RichRod's down||
Well part of RichRod's down fall was not being able to bring in a better DC to match his style of defense. Hoke deserves a chance to get a new OC, now if he doesn't, and the offense looks like this next year, then yes, he must go too.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Well that depends on who they||
Well that depends on who they would replace him with. If they can't get an interim OC with the same level of competency (hold the jokes), then yes, let him finish the season.

Did you not watch the game? If you did, you need to watch it again. It is pretty blatant in their use of hand checking and grabbing.

Why would we want to take Notre Dame's "record" for worst showing in the BCS title game... Or does LSU have that "record"?

"If Michigan wins out, they could get an at-large bid to a BCS ala 2011."
I would love this to happen, but a lot of higher ranked teams will have to lose a lot games. I don't see it happening. After all, what was our best win so far? Notre Dame?
|4 weeks 1 day ago||Well his team went 8-4 the||
Well his team went 8-4 the first year there, so I hope it wasn't loaded or else that would hurt your argument more than mine. So what did you want me to explain? OK my turn, explain his stint at Miami? I'd love to hear you talk about how he turned things around when he got there.
|4 weeks 1 day ago||Well if the criteria to be a||
Well if the criteria to be a helluva coach is the amount of national championships, then yes, Saban is a helleva coach. But that is not my definition. If you asked me if Saban a successful coach, then I would answer yes, but only at the college level. I think you need to be educated on the difference between subjective and objective. I'll give you a hint, when describing greatness, it is more of an subjective argument.
I'd argue that his 1999 team was the best MSU squad to take the field in East Lansing aince the mid-60's.
Ok, so why did he leave? Was it only for the money? If not, then why didn't he think he could make a winner out of MSU? I thought he was a helluva coach?
"Trying to trivialize his accomplishments by labeling him as just a "great recruiter" "
I never said he was just a great recruiter, I did say that he was not a great coach. Not the same thing, try to keep up next time.
