Need to be able to control the LOS and get penetration on defense with just the front 4 rather than always relying on the LB's and Safeties stepping up, or blitzes coming from all over the place.

the nephew is real, the rescue was not. So not comparable to the Manti T'eo situation, where the relationship was real, but the girlfriend was not.

I guessed from context, but had to look up kerning. Learned something new. Clearly like clockwork on a cycle. Clap clap clap.

Not one of my favorites, but Last Boy Scout was good in a ridiculous action movie sort of way. Any idea about the new de la Salle movie that just came out? They say it's "inspired by" the true story, so I'm sure it's all overwrought with goodness and emotion and wonderful protagonists overcoming all odds...
I resisted watching the Blind Side for a long time, but it was pretty good.
|1 day 12 hours ago||re: awareness||
Not anymore. Now it's about marketing and saying "we have a cause!" We are saturated with pink in sports - pink gloves, socks, jerseys, facemasks, trim, women's teams wearing ALL pink (which, frankly, is just brutal to watch). It's to the point that it doesn't raise awareness moreso than the ire and annoyance of fans.
I'd be all for teams/leagues sponsoring a different cause every year. Breast cancer awareness is surely important (my wife has had a couple of scares, and dear friends have had breast cancer), but there are many other worthy causes that also need awareness.
I suspect that part of the reason why the pink thing works is that it is neutral as far as teams go. There are no teams I can think of that have pink as a primary team color, even in the WNBA.

I thought the ACT was like a fake SAT. I wonder how I'd do on either test if I took them both now, as I approach the big 4-0...

You are factually wrong on so many counts. Minnesota plays at TCF Bank Stadium.
As for being named for the schools, Camp Randall, Memorial Stadium(s), Beaver Stadium, Kinnick Stadium, Ross-Ade Stadium, and Byrd Stadium. Only Michigan and osu have stadiums named for the schools (or state). Msu's is named for the mascot.

The other thing that got me is why he didn't just yell down to someone else by the pool to rescue the kid. Was everyone else inside or something?

I wouldn't mind me another BJ Askew-type player.

Prefer grass, for sure, but I have to say that from a maintenance perspective, this new generation of artificial turf is really impressive. Other than the annoying rubber pellets, it drains so well and can be made so it's not hard like the old astroturf (basically a carpet on top of cement) - a bit more "rebound" like a rubber track, although it's still not pleasant to crash on.
I'm interested in the grass-turf hybrid in use at Mile High and Lambeau. Looks very interesting.

In the "classic" maps, you identify and invite specific individuals as collaborators. Given that the map indicates only 2 collaborators, that means nobody else will be able to edit the map.

technically not feral, as that assumes a domesticated animal that has gone back to live in the wild (e.g., the "wild" horses that roam the plains, or many "wild" boars that roam the southeast). Wildcats were always truly wild, never having been domesticated.

I've been on the field once, and still have a picture of it somewhere. I was in the late orientiation before freshman year, which basically meant that I got on campus about a week early to do my orientation. My future best man was also in that group, and one of the things we got to do was run around the field in Michigan Stadium. Our orientation leaders even brought a football for us to toss around. Pretty dang awesome.
Very jealous of your movie night! Sounds like a blast!

Nobody is saying it was ok for him to do that, least of all Brian. I think what he IS saying is that he sympathizes with the difficulty of not making a bad decision in the heat of the moment, and that York's upbringing probably didn't do him any favors in that department. How wrong his actions were is blatantly obvious - nobody is arguing that.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||They aren't mutually||
They aren't mutually exclusive. Assuming (for the sake of argument) that York is allowed to remain on school, but on probation and basically forced a redshirt and limited participation in football activities does not mean that the interests of the other student are not being served. I would assume the kid has insurance, or will otherwise be taken care of medically and academically if he has to miss a semester.
