|3 days 10 hours ago||You're doing the meme wrong||
And yes, I am that guy. Your grammar is too good. The bad grammar is what makes it funny, and a meme in the first place. Here is the correct structure:
"All your <singular noun which should be plural> are belong to us."
Now, let's try an example with a group of bullies taking other kidss lunches:
"All your lunch are belong to us! Ha Ha!"
How about the grinch after he and his dog, max, steal all the presents from whoville?
"All your present are belong to us!"
Ok, one more. This is one where Harbaugh snake oils a bunch of great recruits from other schools:
"All your recruit are belong to us! HARBAUGH!"
See how easy that is? Alright, now you try it...

I'd say that most private universities offer this benefit, or at least a significant discount on tuition for spouses and children. Most public universities do not.
My father used to work on staff at the Emory Clinic (part of Emory University) for about 15 years. When he couldn't convince either my older sister or me to attend Emory (free tuition!), he quit and focused on his private practice.

How much of a difference is 2psi (per the article)? Anyone have a couple footballs properly inflated and underinflated to compare the difference? Is it noticeable/significant? What if it's raining, cold hands, gloves, etc.? Still noticeable?
Also, someone go outside and throw/catch those same balls. Any difference?

I agree that it's certainly disappointing, but your shock that anyone from the University could ever be involved in something like this is naive. People, especially with a little alcohol thrown in, can do some tremendously stupid things, no matter how smart or classy they may be otherwise.

First, it's a maturity issue, mentally and emotionally. Some are more mature than others and make better decisions than others. This is the case whether you're talking about military, NFL, or corporate America.
Second, an 18-20 year old's body is not fully mature. I had a conversation with a US Navy pediatric ER doc in Hawaii once (didn't know the family, but our kids somehow started playing together, so we chatted). It seems the military is sending pediatric docs overseas to take care of the younger soldiers, as they've realized that their bodies are not fully mature and often need a different level of care and expertise than "regular" doctors can give. As a peds doc, he was deployed to the middle east and Afghanistan for that very reason.
Finally, my brother-in-law, a CAPT in the US Navy, will also tell you that the E-1 enlisted sailors really are just kids, for what it's worth.
Being physically able to go to war has nothing to do with whether or not someone is a "grown man" (whatever that ambiguous term really means).
|5 days 12 hours ago||Because no other team does||
Because no other team does anything shady at all to try to gain a competitive advantage, right? Only the Patriots?
According to Matt Bowen (former Iowa and NFL safety) in 2010, after the Broncos taping incident:
It happens everywhere. The sad thing about this article is that, aside from "Spygate" the best evidence Rosenberg has of cheating is a legal maneuver against the Raves and rumor/innuendo.

Ah, but you see, he's not reporting news in this instance, but writing an opinion column. Therefore, it's not subject to the same journalistic code as he would if he were actually reporting news in an objective manner. See, he can skirt the rules, too.
|5 days 17 hours ago||Nick Chubb||
The crazy thing about his season is that he only got 12 carries in his first 3 games combined, and had 5 games this season with fewer than 10 carries. However, in those 5 games, he had 29 carries for 305 yards, at 10.5 yds per carry. Lest anyone think it came over the dregs, two of those games were against SCar and Clemson. He had over 100 yards in his last 7 games, including 156 yards and 7.4 ypc (!) against Florida, 144 yards and 7.6 ypc against Auburn, and 266 yards and 8.1 ypc against Louisville in the bowl game.
Had he played a full season as starter, he would've been over 2000 rushing yards at that pace and be mentioned in the same breath as Melvin Gordon and Ezekiel Elliott. As it is, I have to imagine he's an early front-runner for Heisman along with Elliott.
|5 days 18 hours ago||There is a difference. And||
There is a difference.
And he never criticized Beilein or his staff, but said that there are probably some who negatively recruit. He's always been very complimentary of Beilein in the past, although I can think of a few programs for which he has no love lost (particularly the ones which take the really big recruits).
And as for making presumptions about overuse injuries, he never said "definitely" but did suggest that it was, yes. And then he gave another example of one of his own players. Whether he thinks it or not, I don't see how that statement in any way indicts Michigan's staff. You're looking for a fight where there isn't one. Get over it.
|5 days 18 hours ago||Where are you quoting "wish"||
Where are you quoting "wish" from? The only time Izzo was quoted as using that word was in the following statement. You're clearly taking something way out of context.
"When you go through a bunch of injuries yourself, I wouldn't have wished this (on them), I am not happy."
|5 days 18 hours ago||You don't properly understand||
You don't properly understand what an overuse injury is. It doesn't mean that a "player is overused" but is generally a result of repetitive microtrauma. Doesn't mean Beilein played him too much.
|5 days 18 hours ago||Don't turn this into "Izzo wants kids to get hurt"||
It's not like he's down in his basement doing voodoo spells so opposing players get hurt, or telling his kids to go out and injure them. The fact is that any coach would be at least a little relieved to not have to worry about the other team's star player, which is also why there is so much gamesmanship when it comes to injury reports. Coaches are purposely vague when it comes to releasing injuries to their players b/c they know that means other coaches have to prep for it, possibly making it wasted time not preparing for different looks with different players.
|6 days 17 hours ago||He only has to be in the top||
He only has to be in the top 24, so he's assured of the 2nd round for now. HOWEVA, the rules also state that the overall winner will be determined by the total number of votes received throughout the competition, not just in the final round. So the more votes Beilein gets, even in round 1, increases the odds he will win the really big bucks for St. Louis Center.

Born and raised in ATL. A few guys from msu (rison, duckett) and osu (jenkins), but can't recall anyone from UM other than Feely in recent memory. There were murmurs that Atlanta was going to draft Lewan, but that obviously didn't happen (went with Jake Matthews instead).
Looking at the draft history, I had forgotten that they also drafted deandre cobb from msu, and that Kenn is the last Michigan guy they drafted - in 1978. Before that, they also took Carl Russ (LB, '75), James Coode (T, '74), and the great Billy Taylor (RB, '72).
Sidenote: wow, didn't realize Billy Taylor had such a tragic life after his career at Michigan ended.

8 TEAM playoff = 4 GAMES
No, the real reason they're not going to an 8 team playoff is that it would overly compromise the bowl system and the current institution would not stand for all the lost revenue, especially if they implemented such that the first round were on the campuses of the more highly ranked teams.
