didn't realize that all 3 pro sports teams were at one point called the pirates.

And it's admittedly early. Heck, even this update is ridiculously early, but that's the point of being a fan - unrealistically high expectations for your team.

I grew up in Atlanta and was a huge UGA football fan, hating Florida, Auburn, and Alabama, so...

If Michigan's class ends up looking like Maize n Brew's current prediction (http://www.maizenbrew.com/2016/5/27/11789936/michigan-football-2017-clas...), it would be one helluva class.
For the record, Anthony is predicting four 5* and sixteen 4* in a class of 27 total.
|3 days 13 hours ago||From a purely recruiting perspective||
It's ohio state far and away #1
Michigan at a distant, but clear, #2
A whole bunch of decent to good teams with average to above average recruiting (Iowa, Wisco, msu, maryland somehow, State Penn, Northwestern, Nebraska)
Then the dregs (Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Rutgers)

It's like boarding a plane these days. You board with the super-fancy people first, who are not even part of an official boarding group. Global Services with United, for example, and ohio state in the Big Ten.
Then you get to Group 1. 1K and Platinum and First/Business Class for United, Michigan for the Big Ten.
Then Group 2. Silver, Gold, and Credit Card holders for United; Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, Maryland for the Big Ten (right now).
Then Group 3. Rutgers and michigan state in the Big Ten, currently.
Then Group 4. Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, currently.
Then Group 5. Last to board and definitely no overhead bin space, forcing them to wait around the jet bridge for their bags while everyone else is on their merry way. Poor damn Purdue.
|5 days 9 hours ago||Also||
This article states that their starting pitcher was beaned in the head off a line drive just 5 days before pitching against Michigan. Extenuating circumstances and all that, but I think Mizzou will come to play. I still think Michigan takes it, but can't take it for granted, obviously.
Also, games are:
As suggested above, game is sold out, so you'll have to watch on TV or online.
Amazing that when Romo scores her next run, she will be the ONLY player in NCAA history with 300 hits, runs, and RBIs.
The 300 RBI club is already pretty exclusive, with Romo #4 on the list with 303. The top 3 are all Arizona Wildcats and all played together on the same team during the 94-95 season. That had to have been one scary lineup!

I knew about the Michigan shirt thing, but he actually memorized every player taken ahead of him? Talk about a massive chip on his shoulder.

I don't know how +/- is calculated, but I did see on ESPN this morning while working out that Green's -43 is the lowest in the playoffs since 1997 (good year, that).

Pros - YES
College - NO
And I agree. Fine for the pros, if they want to do it, although you'd hear probably mostly from the baseball traditionalists more than anyone else. Definitely not appropriate for college, although can you imagine the revenue boosts to some colleges with AD's operating barely in the red?

I can't say I'm a particular brand loyalist when it comes to cars. I've owned:
So along with the fact that I've owned 5 cars of all different brands and origins (1 USA, 1 Germany, 3 Japan), they've also all been used. I've bought 2 new cars in my life and they've both been for my wife.
I don't have a particular brand loyalty and would absolutely consider a Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Chevy, Toyota for my next car. Don't really see the value in getting a so-called luxury marque these days, with how advanced even "regular" makes have gotten. It also helps to travel and rent cars very frequently, as I've done quite a bit of "test driving".
What I would love - another sports car.
What I would hate - a big lunky SUV or compromise CUV
What I'll probably end up with - another station wagon of some sort (of which there aren't many anymore, so probably an Outback)
As a sidenote, the VW was surprisingly trouble-free. The MR2 and Accord were pretty bullet-proof. The I35 engine and chassis are great, but the exhaust is junk - support brackets and A-B and B-C flanges completely rusted through. The T-bird was a floaty barge with terrible sightlines and had no redeeming qualities, aside from the fact it was a tank when I got t-boned by the lady who mistakenly slammed the gas instead of the brakes.

Nico is the given name, and is also used as a shortened form of the name Nicholas (particularly in Italian, Spanish and French, but also occasionally in English), Domenico and Dominic. It means Victorious People.
And famous female Nicos are so rare, they even had the entry for the aforementioned singer Nico. The other 22 entries for real people are for men.

I read the thread title multiple times trying to understand what he was trying to convey. I thought somebody yelled at the father of an uber driver, or that the uber driver was a young father.
So next time: Father of the douche canoe who yelled at an uber driver is under arrest in NY.
Not that I know who Jake and Stephen Croman are, or care about them in the least.

striped rugby shirts. That takes me back. I had a Korean knock-off Coca-Cola rugby shirt.
And docksiders. Vuarnet and Rayban were the "in" shades
I used to wear Jams until about 1987
Then I got mature and went with Z Cavaricci (or similar Bugle Boy knock-offs from Uptons or Mervyn's because, let's face it, I wasn't going to get my mom to buy me Cavariccis from Chess King). Or Girbauds, for that matter.
And non-baggy cargo pants, I remember those (also Bugle Boys)
And beach-related wear was cool, too. PCH, OP, Red Sand, Body Glove...
And other brands like Esprit, Genera, Benneton... and don't you touch my Members Only jacket.
