I think this is a gread idea

by Borges.  These offenses allow great diversity via read-option, pistol formations that can make even an elite defense struggle.  I don't care how elite your offensive line and running back are, an elite defense can stop a traditional I-formation offense and force a quarterback to rely on drop back passing.  An elite defense can not stop a highly efficient read-option, pistol based offense.  Yes, it works in the BIG and in the NFL, if you have the right caliber athlete.  This is still smashmouth, hard nosed, Schembechler football, just coming from different angles.  OSU does it and led the conference in offense and you saw how bad our offense was in 2011, with essentially the exact same players.

It means you are loyal to your state

and your family.  I grew up in Ohio and went to OSU.  I had the opportunity to do masters work at U of M but ended up at University of Colorado.  If I had gone to U of M I would have still been a diehard Buckeye.  Loyalty is good and you sir are a fine example.

I root for UM In bowl games because it is good for the BIG and for the rivalry. I was pulling hard for Lloyd in his last game because I had a lot of respect for him ( and hate Florida)
Hoke and Meyer have both recruited fairly well on both lines But I think most osu fans would like two more lineman in this class. I really like UM's oline class and I really like our dline class. Should be some nice battles in the future. Sore subject but Jacoby will be our starting center next year (2014). All reports are that he is physical, nasty, and performing well. Sorry about grammar, typing on ski lift.
I hate Gene Smith,

but I do think it is better if we are both in the same division.  I don't like the idea of playing twice in one year.  Now, Wisconsin, Nebraska and others are going to joke like that is never going to happen anyways.  However, with the way Hoke and Meyer are recruiting I see that possibility of us meeting twice being very strong.  It sounds good in principal, but I think it would not be fun, especially if the team that won the BIG championship game was different from the team who won the regular season finale.

Stat during the game highlighted

that Michigan is the team with the least amount of fouls per game in Division 1.  That is quite impressive.  I think with only like 4 minutes to go in the second half against OSU you guys had 3 fouls.  Seems like there were a few homer calls by the refs that went OSU's way in the last 4 mins.  Either way, really impressed by how good this UM basketball team is.

Well Done

Nope, but I have seen those

Nope, but I have seen those posts over there.  I rarely ever post on elevenwarriors, I read it mostly for recruiting info.  I read both sites primarily for recruiting and for some game day analysis.  Let me just say I hate when you guys are about to "buckle up".  I think it is coming again soon with Derrick Green which is going to be a HUGE get!  I have always liked this site because it has more diverse information and some nice OT stuff.  I also enjoy talking with the enemy maybe more than a bunch of people who all agree with each other.  No bullshit from me.

I will finish with this on

I will finish with this on the topic because I am sure the last thing you guys want on this board is a Buckeye fan talking about Tressel.  Tressel screwed so many people but most importantly he screwed the 95 kids on the team that are good kids that go to class and follow the rules.  He screwed the entire 2012 team that had 0 players from the tat-gate scandal from being bowl eligible.   I have zero love for Jim Tressel and maybe I should have pointed out that it is painful to carry the stigma of his actions as an alumnus.  I certainly don't condone what he did, what he did was wrong.  My original point was simply that I respect Michigan at a Macro level.  I do not see Michigan as one man, one player, one president.  I see them as a corporation (basically that is what these two schools are if you think about it).  At a corporation there are good people and there are shitty people.  The last 10 years for OSU has had many of the latter.  I just ask that you look at the Macro level.  If  you never respect OSU that is fine, but I think it makes the rivlary better.  Trust me I still hate you guys, I was born in Dayton and my teenage years were in the 90"s.  Don't want to come across as too friendly =-).

Also, I should point out that

Also, I should point out that I earned a C, in English 101 at OSU.  That is basically 10th grade English.  I was a Math Major and work at Northrup Grumman outside of Denver, so I think it all worked out.

Holy shit, I can't believe I

Holy shit, I can't believe I did that.   I must have been typing really fast.  Thin air here in Denver.  Enjoy the mistake!

I can understand the feelings

I can understand the feelings on Tressel, Gee, Smith.  I agree with 99% of them.  Wouldn't mind seeing Gee and Smith gone.  However, I believe that Woody loved Bo and Bo loved Woody.  Bottom line is you have two power house programs with histories that include greatness and scars.  The fab 5 happened, so what.,  It happens.  NO ONE IS IMMUNE!!  These are 18 year old kids fergodsakes.  Michigan is much better than that.  I look at the whole picture, the long history.  OSU is the school of Jesse Owens.  Michigan is the school of Gerald Ford.  It is bigger than one, coach, athletic director, or president.

My wife is still a Patriots

My wife is still a Patriots fan to this day, just because the Big Kat played one year of Pro ball their.  He is dumb as a box of rocks.  I am about his same age and played football at a rival high school when he was at Westerville South.  Rumors were that he was a raging alcoholic in high school, probably burned up a few brain cells.  Hey, Krenzel majored in Molecular Genetics  =-)

Hey I can compliment Michigan

Hey I can compliment Michigan and still hate them.  No rivalry without mutual respect.  Deep down that is what it is all about.  Two powerhouses.  Also, my daughter is 7 months old, if you had a daugther you wouldn't think the stripping thing is funny.

Absolutely Not

My sister is an OSU grad and she is barely making minimum wage.  That should be good fuel for this board.  She majored in a degree that doesn't pay well.  I believe the type of degree may be more important than the school itself.  Although, if I were to be completely honest, the Michigan fans that live in Ohio tend to be the lower educated, never stepped foot in Ann Arbor types.  The ones that I have met at Michigan away games that are graduates of U of M are nothing short of great people.

You are probably Te'o's

You are probably Te'o's girffriend.  Not only am I a graduate.  I met my wife at OSU.  My in-laws are both OSU grads and my mom works at OSU (Department of Speech and Hearing).  But to be fair, if my daughter ever got accepted to Michigan, I would be thrilled.  It is the better academic school (OSU is not as bad academically as some of you guys make it out to be though!!)

Agreed

I agree that I bring it upon myself for venturing in to enemy territory.  If you go to elevenwarriors you seem the same thing, some very thoughtful Michigan fans get totally crucified for no reason.  I like the 0-12 part, I wish the same for you guys.  That is what I love so much about the rivalry.  It really comes down to respect, the bottom line is I respect Michigan.  I respect the tradition, the academics, I respect the fight.

That is why I like this blog

I really enjoy 90% of the posters on here.  This is my go to blog for Michigan material.  I am an alumnus so I am more level headed than most OSU fans that have never set foot on campus.  A couple quick points to illustrate how fair I am.  I would trade Burke for either OSU point guard in a minute.  I think you guys have the most complete basketball team in the BIG. I knew from the second Hoke got hired (being an Ohio guy for recruiting purposes) and his enormous love for Michigan, that the rivalry was 100% back.  His recruiting has done nothing but make believe that we are in the midst of another 10 year war.   This guy gets it!  Look foward to friendly banter.

Are OSU fans blacklisted here?

I have been reading this website forever.  I really enjoy it for the most part.  How exactly was my comment trolling.  I simply paid you guys a compliment (said you were cleaning up on offensive lineman) and said that I wish we could get Hunt.

OSU

would love to have him!  You guys cleaned up on offensive lineman again this year.  We could use a few.

Denver is

Full of Big 10 fans.  Denver is a city mostly made of transplants, with a bunch of them coming from the midwest (like me, anything to get out of Ohio).  There are entire bars dedicated soley to OSU and Michigan alumni that are jam packed every Saturday gameday.  Also, slight correction from the article.  Denver is not an hour away from the front range.  Denver is on the "front range", it is an hour away from the mountains.
