Pre Game and Post Game

I've been taking my kids up to a game the last 4 years.  If the weather is good, they love walking around the golf course to see all the tailgaters, throw a football or frisbee.  Schembechler Hall for some Michiigan football history.  Take pictures at the statue.  Head downtown after the game to grab some gear at the M Den.  Very good pizza at the Cottage Inn.

Top 7 of the 11

1.  OSU - Playing as well as I've seen them play in a long time. (Unfortunately)...  Hopefully they choke in a close game. 10/16  Possible loss in Madison.  (Night Game) or a lose to Iowa getting caught looking ahead to Michigan.

2.  Wisconsin/Iowa - Very similar, but I like Iowa's defense a little better.

3.  Wisconsin/Michigan - If it comes down to the winner of UM and Wisc, I think UM wins.  The game is at UM.  UM defense is growing up every week.  The problem for UM is that this is the game before OSU.  Still, if Steve Threat can beat Wisc.  I mean, come on.

4.  Wisconsin

5.  MSU - Good but not as good as I thought at the beginning of the season.

The rest.

6.  NW

7. PSU

What happened to Purdue????

At the beginning of the season, I had UM with 6 wins.  I now think they can pull off 9 or 10.  Amazing what a year makes at QB/O-Line.  I hope these guys stay healthy and BEAT osu.  I've taken enough crap from these people in Ohio.  I need to start give some back.

Scary

Floyd - I get that they are friends, but don't talk about Woolfolk like he is the 2nd coming of       Woodson.  Somebody help me.  Was Wolkfolk going to be that great, this year?

Stonum - Leadership role and jail time don't fit.

Roh - Didn't know he was a starter until Friday before the first game.  I love this coaching staff.

Smith - Small and possibly an every down back????  How quickly we forget Perry, Wolfolk, Thomas, Wheatley, etc.  These guys were fast and could run you over.

Cox & Shaw - Good to have a variety of running backs???  I think you need a running back with multiple skill sets.  Just like last year, Denard comes in to the game and the defense knows he is running.  Bring in a small pass catching RB, and he is probably going to go out for a pass.  Bring in Cox, he is probably going up the middle.

Rogers - ????????????  I don't know what to say.  The secondary is probably toast.

Guys, I love Michigan.  This is by far the most pessimistic I've been about the football program.  I'm going to enjoy the scoring that I think we will have, but its going to hurt losing 49-38 every week.  Were looking at 6 wins.

I need to vent

I love Michigan football.  I hate watching what this team has become.  I live in Ohio and have no recourse anymore against the obnoxious OSU fan.  I have to take it.  Lets face it, RR and this offenxe is not Michigan football.  You can talk all day about how he needs his guys for his system.  What is his system on defense?  Small guys that can't tackle?

I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he was hired.  I was thinking how great that he will have the opportuinty to recruit in 4 and 6 star athletes homes.  The talent should be even better than what he pulled at WVU.  Since he has been here, he has filled the locker room with the same 2 and 3 star athletes he convinced to attend WVU.  He doesn't get it, or can;t do it.

Regardless of record, unless he manages to make a BCS bowl, this man needs to be shown the door and we need a Michigan man.  Bring in Jim Harbaugh!!  Trust me, this guy knows how to coach, he understands how to work with the talent he has, and he will be able to sell Michigan to the top athletes in the country.

Lets enjoy the season as much as we can this year.  Lets cheer hard for this team.  When the season is over and the dust clears lets get the guy that ubderstands that we need to be beating MSU and OSU every single year.

New Era Michigan Football starts today. I'm willing to sweep last year under the rug and usher in the new era of Michigan Football. This is the beginning of Rich's Michigan Football team, and I expect great things. No, I don't think we will win the Big Ten but 8 wins is not out of the question, and it starts today with a team that wants to play for Coach Rod and the fans. Look for a big win today. 45 - 17. GO BLUE.
