Class of 79. Fun to see the Broncos not just relevant but really good. I work with a lot of Chip alum, will be a fun day to walk into work tomorrow. K'zoo has to be pretty excited.
Great way to cap off a fantastic Saturday of football, UM++, and what happened in Bloomington brought a smile to this face, too.

Actually been to an MSU football clinic. Much smaller scale than UM but I've sat in position meetings, watched film with individual coaches, and had Narduzzi X and O based on questions asked. He actually showed some pretty cool schemes that I don't think are shared at a big clinic. As much as I dislike Sparty, I came away impressed with what they were willing to share. But...still can't beat the mystique of UM or sitting in the Big House suites asking Greg Mattison questions and having him telling you how he teaches DL technique.

When you have the knowledge and experience that this staff has then come back and speak. They had a .2% chance to win that game, in other words it happens twice in a thousand games. No...don't second guess.

You put a player behind the punter as a safety and you almost are assured the punt gets blocked (one less blocker, one more free guy). The snap was a little low, punter mishandled it...it happens. That's why the game is played. I've coached football for over 35 years, special teams for almost all those years. UM coaches did everything right...it was a play the likes I have never seen.

Mattison and Durkin were having dinner together about an hour ago...sounds like defensive planning already in motion.

That sealed the deal of being a Michigan fan for life at the age of 12.

and I was a young HS coach. It was right after George Perles was named HC at MSU and just before they left for the 1983 Rose Bowl vs UCLA. An invitation had been sent out to schools to see a practice in their new indoor facility. When it was over, a friend of mine that went with me and I were milling around the facility when Coach Hanlon spotted my jacket that had our school name on it. He had become acquaintances with some alums in our town and asked if I knew them (I did). He was giving us a hard time about visiting when Bo happened to walk by and Coach Hanlon called him over. Bo looked at us and said he knew we were just wandering around AA, saw the lights on in the building and wondered why the hell someone was practicing football on a Saturday night in December. We talked for a minute and they wished us a safe trip home. They started to walk away then stopped, turned around and asked if we had ever seen the rest of the facility. Of course our answer was no so Bo said to come with them and they would show us inside. So the four of us walked into the coaches/locker room area and as Bo stepped inside the office area he thanked us for coming down for the practice. Coach Hanlon then walked us through the locker room (when we turned the corner, there sat AC) and gave us a tour of the new weight room. For a young football coach that had grown up watching the Bo Schembechler led Wolverines, it was an incredible situation that still seems like yesterday.

HIs comment back was "Don't think we haven't talked about that as a staff."

and played big in big time moments. Also great to see Vogrich (with his 3-pointer), Bartlestein, Person, and the boys get a moment in the sun. Congrats to the coaches that turned a team around from a huge emotional win on Friday to taking apart a team many predicted would win the tourney.

I know their coach made a statement that as long as he was there that UC was not welcome. Had to do with their QB's scholarship not being honored.
