Having worked in sports, I wouldn't worry about getting your degree in Sports Management. The more important thing is that you start volunteering/working in the athletic dept at whatever school you go to (bigger schools are more impressive) and/or for a local pro team. Nobody is going to care what your degree was in but they will be interested in your experience. If you went to Michigan I would actually recommend doing LS&A and taking some marketing classes from the B-School and for fun do a couple Sports Marketing classes in Kines too. The advantage of this approach is you get a broader education that will serve you better if you change career paths and you get real world experience in sports that will better prepare you for it and allow you to start making contacts (ex. the marketing intern at a Michigan will become the Director of Marketing at a MAC school and if you worked with him as a volunteer he may hire you as a marketing assistant at the MAC school when you graduate). |

Agreed - I'm a Colts fan and always enjoy his writing. He is very level-headed and doesn't tend to be overly effusive in his praise, so these comments mean more coming from him than most. |

How is the U-M crowd at Sangria? Is it a good setup? I don't remember them having a lot of TVs when I've gone out there before at night. Do they set them up in the dance floor area or are they just around the bar? I'm considering heading up there for the MSU game. I live in Newport Beach and have no interest in going inland to Tustin for the official Alumni Club event. The bar I normally go to in Newport, Rudy's, is technically a Michigan State bar, so that could be a good week to check out Hermosa. |

Your annual law school loan payment would be more than a compliance job would pay - be prepared to make $30-40k/year. Also, if you couldn't tell by Labadie's responses - all 25 sports and every department - marketing, development, etc - sees you as a hassle and will avoid your voicemails and emails at all costs. It is very fulfilling work. |

He's got Dwight Freeney's uniform # and build - he just needs to develop that inside spin move that Freeney uses because I'm pretty sure he won't be able to throw the tackle to the ground in college. Looks like a good one though - hope he has a good visit. |

Those are good - I'll play around with it and see what I come up with. I also now know what meshuganah means, which is good. |

Would be good if I was German. I saw a Dodge Caravan the other day that someone put one of those D stickers on and then a BMW logo badge over the Chryler one. I don't want to be that German. |

Good thought and it could be available. I think I'm too old Michigan though to embrace All In enough to put it on my license plate just yet. Under consideration though. |

Some good ideas there - I'll check on BLOCKM for sure and will think about an A2 one and the other campus references. |

That's solid. The HL adds some mystery and makes it seem less like you are driving some guy named Victor's car |
