Wasn't that 2012 sping game the one that was on BTN and they just did a scrimmage 1st O vs 2nd D and 2nd O vs 1st D and the BTN just kept adding points to the blue team since our offensive players wear blue practice jerseys?

What someone does on their own time is none of their employer's concern. - What about crime. Certainly employers can terminate employees if they commit crimes on their own time.

I think to the NFL the big deal isn't his use of pot but rather his lack of impulse control when he knew he was going to be tested. NFL teams invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into players so they want to know what kind of people they are first. It isn't like he is banned from the NFL now. He still has 2 more strikes if I know thier substance abuse policy correctly.

Failed the stupid test. If he doesn't have the impulse control to refrain from smoking pot when he knows he will be tested we can assume that he will have the same lack of impulse control with his new found money. I'm sure the NFL doesn't care about pot usage. What they care about is decision making since owners are making a hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars investment into people.

Especially in states where marijuana is legal? Is it ok to forbid your employees from engaging in other legal activities while they're off the clock? It is btw, some companies are testing for nicotine usage now. - It is still illegal on a federal level. The nicotine testing is probably related to health insurance, you can get a break on health insurance policies if you don't have to cover any smokers.
I don't like the smell of curry. Should I be able to ban my employees from eating it at home? - You can set hygiene standards.
And if we're going down that slippery slope, why stop at ingesting substances? How about not hiring homosexuals because you find their sexual activities to be distasteful? - There is a difference between smokers of drugs and homosexuals. Sexual Orientation is a protected class while substance use is not.
Laws are tilted against employees in this country. Way worse than in most of the rest of the first world. - Conversely you could say that laws in the rest of the western world are tilted agianst employers.

I'm positive that the plain practice jersey is just an Adidas test of new uniform technology. They have select players wear the jersey in spring practice and get thier feedback. Given that these are test jerseys there is no reason to have any designs on them.
That being said my favorite jerseys are the Harbaugh through Tom Brady era jerseys. I like the sleeve stripes and the Tom Brady jerseys were new for '97 if I recall. Amazingly my taste in jerseys aligns with the era I grew up in as well as the most successful period of Michigan football. Selection bias anyone?
Otherwise I am open to experimentation on the away jerseys. Blue pants on an away jerseys why not? The image of Michigan football is a plain blue jersey with plain [insert your color] maize pants with the winged helmet running out of the tunnel.

I think wearing the #1 jersey had a lot to do with the negativity on Funchess. Michigan fans have expectations for a WR wearing the #1. He failed to meet them. If he was wearing 87 (Ron Kramer legacy jersey) people would have been just disappointed with his performance not upset.

Very relative. We ran a 5-2 with stand up ends that was essentially a 3-4 where the OLB had no pass drop responsibilities. Needed really good atheletes at LB for that D to work.

Adidas tests new products on a select number of players. They then use thier feedback in the development process. Maybe it is a new design but I think the more likely story is that it is a new jersey technology that they are testing.

If UA wants Michigan BAD as you suggest why haven't they made an offer? Adidas' exclusive negotiation period ended Jan 1 and so far the only offer on the table for Michgian is the Adidas renewal.
|6 days 13 hours ago||I don't know how ND's deal is||
I don't know how ND's deal is but they it works for Michigan with Adidas is they $3.8M in cash each year and have a $2.2M budget for apparel. Any apparel over the $2.2M limit is supposed to be paid out of pocket by the athletic department. 3.8 + 2.2 = 6. Which is why you hear about a $6M deal.

I'd let Desmond Morgan wear 48 legends jersey this season and then just get rid of em. Nobody on the roster is wearing 11, 21, 47, 87, or 98. Seems like the simplest solution.

Are we talking about a DII school? I doubt the entire apparel budget is even close to the size of Michigan's women's teams.

And word on the street is that ND programs are already unhappy with that deal. UA didn't ship enough training shoes for thier women's sports teams and asked ND to pay for additional shipments since they were beyond the scope of thier contract. This is where Adidas having separate budgets for each sport is a great situation.

Prediction, non-revenue sports athletes favor Adidas.
John Wangler is the owner/ceo of an Adidas Team Dealer. I'd imagine he is trying to use his sway to get Michigan to resign with Adidas.

Right or wrong I've always viewed it this way, College basketball depends alot more on X's and O's while the NBA is all about the jimmys and the joes.
Scheme is more important in college basketball and since coaches dont' have access to 15 of the 450 best basketball players in the world they have to develop superior schemes for the talent they do have. That and the ban on zone defense in the NBA.
