My Dad. He quit his job and has essentially put his life on hold to help my brother recover from a traumatic brain injury. A father's love knows no bounds.

Probably being overly picky here but if Luck also got a 37 then isn't he tied for 5th?

blaming DG? I just said he needs to pick a position and stick to it. Bouncing between QB and WR will not get him the training he needs to make the roster at either position.

Tebow is an interesting case because the experts said he would be a better TE. But he had never played TE before. DG switched to WR because he thought (or was told) he'd have a better chance making an NFL roster as a WR. If he wants to be a QB that is fine but he needs to decide what position to play and stick with it. Denard was the same way with the WR to RB switch. He dropped the "offensive weapon" label and went 100% into being a RB and until he was injured was having a pretty nice year.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||He can clearly say he'd||
He can clearly say he'd rather continue trying to make the squad as a WR. Landry Jones and Gradkowski have been in Pittsburgh for 2 going on 3 years so they know the offense. Plus the Steelers picked up Tajh Boyd as well. He has to beat out Tajh Boyd (who never took time off to train as a WR) plus one of either Jones or Gradkowski to make the team. If I was DG I'd have said no I'm a WR. This is the NFL players play for themselves. And if he thought he had a better chance to make a roster as a QB why did he switch to WR in the first place?
|4 weeks 3 days ago||"I imagine he's behind the 8||
"I imagine he's behind the 8 ball because all offseason he's been working on his WR skills."
Exactly. Unless they have a Seneca Wallace plan in mind for him this is a scary situation since teams sometimes only carry 2 QBs especially if one of your WR (ie. Gardner) could be an emergency 3rd stringer.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||He can say whether or not he||
He can say whether or not he wants to switch positions. I think he has the talent to be a decent NFL player at either WR or QB. But flipping back and forth will put him behind the curve. Especially given how different the training regimens are for those positions.

Great year. Losing only Wagner and Sweet has to put them as preseason #1.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||He needs to pick a position||
He needs to pick a position and stick to it if he wants to remain in the NFL. Bouncing around between positions will get him bounced out of the NFL so fast

Agreed. Go to a school where he can get the best possible grad degree to set himself up for success.

I'm not going to sugar coat it. Michgian is a great team this year. I just think Florida is even better. They held us to 2 runs with their #2 and #3 pitcher last night. We had runners on the corners with no outs and couldn't score. I'd love to be wrong but Betsa is in a funk right now and Wagner needs to be perfect to beat Florida. Although I like how Wagner has been aggressive in this world series. She is a senior and is pitching to extend her career. I hope she starts tonight but I would imagine that Florida will get thier runs no matter who pitches for us. Aside from Wagner we didn't look aggressive last night and we paid the price.

Some times the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. I think UEFA should break apart from FIFA and just hold thier own invitiational tournament instead. Invite the champions from each confederation and then the next best 26 teams according to elo rankings or something like that. Or tell each other confederation a number of teams to send and let them decide who goes.
FIFA needs UEFA more than UEFA needs FIFA. If the US, china, japan, get on board with this then FIFA would be toast.

I don't think it matter's who starts in the circle for Michigan. Lauren Haeger is starting in the circle for Florida and she is lights out. I expect Florida to win this one late. Haeger probably has the winning RBI.

I'd love to be wrong though.

JV football. I'm the QB my best friend is my go to WR. Ball is on the left hash. BFFWR is lined up to my right. Slants are the route called in the huddle. I see the CB is shading him inside by about 5 yards. Slants won't work. Audible to the fade by tapping the top of my helmet. Take the snap. 3 step drop. Lay out a beautiful rainbow that BFFWR runs under and catches in stride for a sweet TD.
Later in the game. Same situation, same CB lined up way inside on a slants call. We changed the signals I audible to a hitch by tapping the top of the helmet. In hindsight a risky audible given the positioning but as soon as the CB sees me tapping my helmet he bails out giving about a 12 yard cushion thinking we are audibling into a fade. Take the snap. 3 step drop. Rifle a bullet out to BFFWR who makes a sick move on the poor CB and takes it the distance.
First time I ever felt bad for an opponent.

What we have here is an example of brand loyalty. Any difference between Adidas and Nike is minimal. I'm willing to bet they have some supplier overlap too.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||I think it is a chicken vs||
I think it is a chicken vs the egg argument. Of course Nike dwarfs Adidas sales. Nike owns the US and we have more consumer spending power than the rest of the world. The difference is that Adidas needs Michigan for thier North American strategy and is willing to pay for it, especially since Wisconsin and ND have recently left them for UA. Nike doesn't need Michigan in that way since they dominate the NA market.

That is why Nike can pay FSU, Bama, OSU around half of what adidas would pay them: they DESTROY adidas in sales.
Is that a function of them being with Nike or is it a function of them being among the top programs in college football over the last 10 years?

The Jerseyz of the last few years were a symptom of Dave Brandon being the AD not Adidas being the supplier. They approve this stuff way ahead of time. The other question is how the hell does Michigan not own thier own colors? Can apparel companies really trademark or patent color dyes?
