That was certainly the attitude regarding bowls when I was a student (1983 - 1987). I think Bo regarded the Bowl trips as a reward -- he let the guys have fun and was perhaps less intense in preparation.
Also, I seem to remember that Bo referred to out of conference games as "preseason."
I guess this is positive payback for all us season ticket holders that remained through this year's awful schedule. With Texas at home as well in 2024, I am going to need to make it out to Ann Arbor at least four times next Fall!
Honestly, the NIT can be a nice springboard to a resurgent year. They can probably go pretty deep and that will give guys more experience and confidence.
At this point, Juwan needs more head coaching experience as well -- just more reps to see what works and what does not.
I think they are not running JJ because they are worried he will get hurt. I think that's very legit. If we start running JJ with frequency, I think you'll be seeing some Cade action.
I got sober during my Junior year in Ann Arbor. I went to AA. It saved my life and gave me a life beyond my wildest dreams.
I would suggest going to some meetings at the Ann Arbor Alano Club. Its out at 995 North Maple. You can find meeting day and times by Googling Huron Valley Area Intergroup.
Maybe I will see you out there at a meeting when I come to town for PSU and MSU!
My kids recently turned me onto EDM. Does this mean we get to hear EDM throughout the game? Could be distracting but also might make the long commercial breaks go faster.
Think about why you buy season tickets. I buy them because it forces me to make the trip out from NYC to see some games. So, yeah, $50 is a rip off, but I basically overpay for something almost every day.
I had Yankee season tickets (split with two other guys) for years and went to 20+ games a year. Then I dropped them figuring I would just buy through Stub Hub for the games I want. Now I never go in person, even though its a relatively short subway ride away.
If you are definitely going to two + games a year whether you have season tickets or not, then drop your tickets and don't pay the fees.

I am glad I applied and got in in 1983. Based on my SATs and grades back then, there is no way I would be admitted now.
Yes.
My understanding is that Jim would like to coach an NFL team to a Super Bowl championship.
I think that is the "understanding" that needs to be had here.
Why did Beilein leave? Ummm.....
Okay, that is cool.
That is so weird that not exploring the NFL is the one condition he is balking at. Hmm....

Rose Parade.
He probably needs to go somewhere that has lower expectations. All that pressure to win can be really hard on a QB.
Maybe Penn State?
Yes.
No.
Aaron Hernandez
Sounds like a “reasonable” bet for graymarch.
Okay…so what you describe is a “reasonable “ chance?!?
No self awareness. When will it ever be a good look to get in an argument with security at an opposing stadium?
”Don’t you know who I am,” just does not play well these days.
Yes.
Nice job. I was at the UM - St. John's hoop game on Monday and twice there were "Free Jim Harbaugh" cheers.
Check out Jim Tressel's record the week prior to Michigan:
3 losses
5 close wins (ten points or less)
2 solid wins
That was my junior year and what a great game to be at. Jimmy is our guy! Please keep Jimmy!!
Plus, no state income tax. Just like Florida!

Wasn't the guy at Iowa State the coach we were supposed to dump Harbaugh for and hire? Hmm...what was his name again?
Time to go to Frank's.
As you say, Tschetter, Reed, Williams and Baker are all the same person results wise.
Are we getting USC for nostalgia reasons since we played them so many times in the Rose Bowl?

Two consecutive wins over OSU will do that.
Life is not fair.
Why would any of these gentleman want to come to Ann Arbor? They have everything they could want in East Landfill.
Good to see law enforcement moving so swiftly.
Not sure how that could trigger a For Cause firing, which is the only way MSU would do it.
What's the matter? You don't believe in second chances?!?
Go to Dom Donuts in Ypsi!

I like Jim Harbaugh. He should remain our coach.
This is a University of Michigan sports site.

I do not like Notre Dame. I would like UM to play them frequently and to kick there asses. I am not afraid of a tough schedule.

I don't get it, but okay.

I think this is terrific. These players deserve to be paid what the market will bear.
Maybe it will make educational institutions finally decide whether owning and managing minor league sports franchises are part of their mission.
I thought Iron Mike only flew with pigeons.

No one cares.

That game made me sad.
Yikes! Don't trade Cade!
