and I'm actually looking forward to using it.

2 years 45 weeks ago I'm sorry about your loss, FA.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

2 years 46 weeks ago Beavis,

First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to research the relevant information in order for this scenario to happen.

In regards to the cap, the projected value for the upcoming season is $56.1 million, so getting quality players to fill the remainder of the roster would be difficult. However, don't forget about the cap exceptions (mid-level, bi-annual, etc.) that allow a team to go over the cap. Also, I'm not that familiar with how the luxury tax works, but if the team is OK with paying the tax, couldn't they pursue more talented (and more expensive) players?

2 years 46 weeks ago The Heat are actually in a

The Heat are actually in a good position to pull this off. I believe they're 44 million under the cap, so they could sign three max-contract players.

Or, as John Madden once said, "the team that scores the most points will probably win the game."

3 years 8 weeks ago No love for Dr. Speedy Nutz?

In my opinion, Dr. Nutz is seeded far too low at 10. He should be a 3 or 4 at worst.

Also, gotta love the oxymoronic name of King Jamell Modest. Actually, I don't know. I guess a king could be modest.

Finally, Can Du.

3 years 13 weeks ago Come on now, Arturo Fausto

You know better than to come 'round here posting that nonsense...

3 years 14 weeks ago This is no contest.

Armenian Studies (AAPTIS) 274 with Kevork Bardakjian and NERS 211 with Ronald Fleming. For AAPTIS 274, all you had to do was write two papers, regardless of quality, and you were guaranteed an A. You didn't even have to show up to class. Same with NERS 211, except there were two exams instead of two papers, one of which was a take-home.

3 years 14 weeks ago I echo those sentiments.

I hated EECS 280 more than any other class during my time at Michigan. It was ridiculously hard, the professor sucked, the autograder sucked, and it was ridiculously hard (wait, I said that already). I mentioned this in a previous thread back during finals week last December, but that class single-handedly altered the course of my college career. I became an academic felon (three honor code violations) and changed majors to IOE. Best decision I ever made.

Having said all that, I don't consider EECS 280 to be the most difficult class I took. No, that distinction would go to ME 235 (Thermodynamics). I know some of you mechanical engineers are probably reading this and laughing at me, but I didn't know what the fuck was going on in that class. Good thing no one else in the class knew what was going on either. As I recall, the average for every exam was in the 30% range. I recorded the lowest test score ever in my academic career during that class: a 17% on the second midterm. Amazingly I came out with a C at the end of the term.

Scroll down to find the Wisconsin-Michigan stream.

3 years 15 weeks ago Damn it

I thought for sure Ford would file for bankruptcy last summer, so I stayed away from them and instead bought a shitload of Citigroup and AIG stock. Not a bad decision, but neither stock has increased as much as Ford's has.

3 years 18 weeks ago Holy Shit

Did not see this one coming at all. Hopefully USC's bridge with Baxter is irreversibly burned.

3 years 21 weeks ago YES

It just keeps getting better and better.

3 years 22 weeks ago Charles Antonelli

The professor for my class was Charles Antonelli, and he was beyond worthless. And apparently I'm not the only one that feels that way: http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=774451

During my time as a student at Michigan, there were only two professors/lecturers that I would describe as beyond worthless. One was Antonelli, and the other was Richard "Don't call me Dick" Gerth. Any IOE students reading this should be very familiar with that name and know exactly what I mean.

3 years 22 weeks ago I feel your pain, my friend

EECS 280 was the turning point of my academic career at Michigan. After failing both midterms, getting zeroes on the final three program assignments, bombing the final, and picking up three honor code violations for copying other people's code, it was pretty clear to me that I should change my major. And change I did... to IOE.

3 years 22 weeks ago Ah yes, NERS 211

Ronald Fleming was the guy's name. What was funny was that the stuff he covered in class was not at all what was actually on the exam. That class was the one and only time where I sat down to take a test, didn't understand one single question, and yet didn't feel panicked or pressured at all. Somehow I ended up with an A- despite bombing both midterms and probably the final as well. Looking back on it now, I feel like I got cheated.

3 years 22 weeks ago Hallelujah!

Finally, some good news regarding Michigan athletics.

3 years 23 weeks ago "Michigan is not that great of an academic school."

Seriously?

3 years 23 weeks ago I still have faith

that the basketball team can get things turned around. One has to believe that eventually at least a few of those missed shots (especially from the 3-point line) will start falling. I mean, that sub-30% 3-point FG percentage can't continue for the rest of the season, can it?

3 years 23 weeks ago Yep

3 years 23 weeks ago Yeah, the hint provided by the OP was extremely misleading

Roberson was cut from the team this past July. I was looking through the current Bulls roster, and there was no one that fit the description of being one of Woodley's former teammates.

3 years 23 weeks ago My goodness

That is a hell of a list assembled there. I voted for Braylon obviously, but Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson deserve to make the All-Decade team as well. It's a damn shame one of them will be left off.

3 years 23 weeks ago Awesome

Congratulations to Suh. Guy was the most dominant defensive player this season by far. To not invite him would have been a crime.

3 years 24 weeks ago Let's see

Poor grammar, contradictory statements, and hatred for complete strangers on a message board... yep, all of the elements of a winning post are present.

3 years 24 weeks ago I understand what you mean

My comment was just based on the one pic from her Facebook profile, where she does look attractive. Looking at some of the other photos of her from the Google image search, I have to admit that her face is not the greatest out there. I do think she has a fairly nice body though, at least from the few pics that I've seen. So yeah, by no means do I think she is the hottest woman alive, but I also would not fault any man for wanting to sleep with her.

As a side note (and this is not in direct response to your post), I will make sure to indicate when I'm just kidding around. I think my post was taken a little too seriously by some people around here...

3 years 24 weeks ago Huh?

It's just a joke, man. Relax.

3 years 24 weeks ago Rachel Uchitel

The party planner from New York that Tiger was allegedly involved with, Rachel Uchitel, is pretty fucking hot (see http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:kDE-Qo2737QJ:www.facebook.com/peopl...). Shit, I would've cheated on my wife, too!
