|9 hours 15 min ago||questions from the Piston's game||
Maybe if I watched more NBA games I'd know the answer to these questions, but I was wondering a couple of things when I saw the Durant highlights from last night's Pistons-OKc game (HERE):
1) Is KG (aka the 2014 NBA MVP) wearing tights or knee-highs?
3) will this be a thing now at the playground, or if I were to show up at Burns Park wearing tights (or knee highs) would I get laughed at?

You mean (1) Union vs. (2) Minnesota (at least per http://www.uscho.com/rankings/)

In February, he took a swing at the RPI coach and got suspended for four games (and deservedly so).
In April, he was named coach of the year.
I saw Union play live this year. They seemed flawless.

I logged on just to add Stoyko to the list, so I'm glad to see someone else raise his name.
Other pre-national-champs 80s faves: Antoine Joubert, Richard Relford, ET, and Dan Pelakoudis.
Unsung favorites from 1989: Vaught/Hughes (the Morford of the day), Mike Griffin, and Rob Pelinka.

It was a great day for the finals of the state basketball tournament held in Crisler Arena that year. The Class A final featured Michigan-bound Tery Mills' Romulus team over Detroit Southwestern [wait -- I thought it was Derrick Coleman and Detroit Northern, but my memory apparently has misled me. Perhaps that was the semi]. The Class B final featured a 70-ft buzzer beater that allowed Saginaw Buena Vista to beat Flint Beecher, 33-32. Pretty sure Roy Marble played on that Beecher team.

I stand corrected. 8-4. Still -- go back and read the preview to the first Nebraska game, when they were 0-2 in the conference, and barely beaten the creampuffs in their non-conference slate. They lost at Purdue in the game after us, and have been 8-2 since then. Beside the second Michigan loss, their other loss in the last 10 is to . . . Penn State?

he's 8-3 against teams not us.
then again, we ARE us.

you mean you think the Lions should try to draft him?
|7 weeks 3 days ago||another instance in the first half||
At 36:10 on the replay, Izzo sees something, jumps onto the court, nearly slips and falls, and the ref shoves him back off the floor without looking at him. This is right before Robinson's drive to the hoop with the bucket and the foul.

boxing out is frowned upon in the pro game, so GR3 is actually a pretty good fit there.
less snarkily, it is true that small forwards aren't called upon to rebound in the pros as much as 4-men are needed to in the college game.

the only thing not Carmeloesque about that stat line is the 2 assists -- that's two more than old #7 (no relation) distributed in his 62-pt effort last month at the garden

1. That would be two years in a row that the T-Wolves drafted a Michigan product in the early teens of the draft.
2. Say what you will about Kevin Love, but the real draw in Minny is the point guard. It would be so fun to play with Rubio.

Not my cup of tea, and they've not won anything (I mean, barely even a game) yet, but they do get to play in the Big House.
Actually, though, I'd say WBB or M-Soccer is #4.

After the M game, I flipped over to the UCLA-Arizona game, which was tied at the time. Despite that, I turned it off when I realized Walton was announcing. His antagonism towards Webber was the beginning of the end for me and Bill

Since it stil the pairwise that matters most, and where quality wins count the most, it's worth noting that the Red Raiders are 24th there. On the outside looking in for now, but by no means in the wilderness.
|14 weeks 9 hours ago||2015||
Schedule and roster-wise, 2015 had seemed to me to be much much brighter than 2014 (losing Gardner, Ryan, Funchess, and Clark wii be tough, but the one positive on-field takeaway from the Copper Fiasco, for me, was Shane's play (plus Speight's all-star week reports were pretty nice)).
What's changed for me is a modest upgrade in expectations for next season, and, for 2015, a fervent hope that Nuss can stick around that long. the good news/bad news is that if he wows the cfb world next year, the head coach offers will come in droves.

did I say "coo"? I meant "chip". because there's no such thing as having a "coo on your shoulder". That I know of, anyway.
Damn you, autocorrect

Just watched them beat the home town team (Yale) last night. this is the team that lost by 1 at Cameron Indoor. What was remarkable to me was their attitude/disposition: scrsppy with a massive coo on their shoulder. at times it looked like they had 5 Marshall Henderson's out there.
