I don't worry about it, honestly. I'm happy with Baldwin - he only had one year starting in HS but led his high school to the state championship game in the toughest high school division in the country. 2019 QB class was thin overall and I don't think there was anyone the staff absolutely loved, but this is about as good as we could hope for. Miller in 2020 looks like a stud. I think the QB room is going to be solid.
Yeah that's always puzzled me as well. Honestly I think JT's biggest problem in the passing game is that he didn't trust the WRs to make plays. He'd wait for the guy to absolutely get open, then throw the ball. Unfortunately that's not going to cut it against top-quality teams, so we'd end up with a lot of check-downs and scrambles. It's fine when you can out-talent the opposition but it's not going to crack open a good defense.
That being said, I'm sure I will pull my hair out a dozen times this season at the risks Haskins will take.
I also think these designations aren't always accurate. We're never going to recruit a statue, because Urban's always going to want to have the QB run as an option. But I think the past couple of years have shown that you can't win a National Championship without the ability to take the top off a defense, so they're prioritizing guys that can move a little but aren't just running backs that can handle the snap.
Yeah, our QB recruiting has been wonky these last two seasons. I think we're in a transition phase from DUAL to PRO, but don't have the on-the-field results to prove to recruits that we're a good fit. QB Coach and OC Ryan Day has been a godsend in that regard, and I expect our top 2020 target Miller to commit in the next month or so. If Haskins balls out this year, I think our QB recruiting will be fine moving forward.

From what I've heard it just wasn't a good culture fit. OSU's an intense program to play in, and Gunnel is apparently a pretty laid-back guy.
