Congratulations!!  My oldest…

Congratulations!!  My oldest son is entering his last semester at Michigan....the time has gone by so fast.  I was a U-M dropout after 2 years, so I am even more proud of my son for finishing what I couldn't.

As for advice....your emotions are your own and everyone handles the separation differently.  Don't look at it as a loss, but rather a celebration of the fine job of parenting you have done to help get your child into a great university.

Pretty sure he meant actual…

Pretty sure he meant actual infestations of rats.....You really have to be looking to use the "R" word there to think otherwise.

Probably tired of recruiting…

Probably tired of recruiting against all of the cheaters in the college game.  At least now he gets to compete on a somewhat level playing field.

Am I the only one

that finds Mike's storyline more interesting than Jimmy"s?  Not that the whole Jimmy to Saul transformation hasn't been worth the watch, but something about Mike's character has always been fascinating to me.

Could that possibly be good news?

Usually don't want to consider being in a walking boot a positive, but most injuries that can be treated while using a walking boot are better than what most of us feared he had suffered.   Hope the best for a promising young player.

I don't think it is apt to compare Vegas to any other NFL city.

People are always looking for an excuse to do Vegas for a weekend and here it is.  Plus I think people will flock to LV to watch since the team appears set to be good for the forseeable future.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Raiders draw more LA people than the Chargers and Rams, given the Chargers' stadium situation and the Rams' overall level of suckishness.

I was in Vegas for the opening weekend of March Madness...

Trust me, it has not become more family friendly.

Mork Dantoni will be pissed

about that egregious error.

Purdue must have a secret method

for getting  players 7-8 years of eligibility.  Hummel and Brian Cardinal both played at least that long.

The entire internet was glorious last night.

Now we just need Ace or Seth to do a frame by frame analysis of the out of bounds play showing it was the correct call like Comparoni did on the Bolden ejection play.

My son received his acceptance today!!

He is undecided on a major, but super excited to begin his Michigan journey.

Huge difference in that you could see

progress with the basketball team and the games were at least interesting.   Football under Hoke has become borderline torturous to watch.

Tyrone Butterfield

also agress with you.

My son also is waiting for a decision from U-M admissions.

He has a 4.2 with a 32 ACT...don't remember his SAT off  hand.  He is LS&A, so I'm thinking his chances are pretty good.

I suppose the best time to be on a plane

when it has a mechanical problem is when you are wearing a parachute.

She's definitely got

a bit of the "Stifler's Mom" thing going on.

Too bad Mr I wasn't the owner when Morris played.

I guarantee Mr. I would have never let him leave town.

Recruits like Treadwell

that are supposedly close to committing early in the process, but drag their recruitment on to the end almost never end up at Michigan.   Diamond from last year comes to mind and numerous others from past years.  I will be shocked, but pleased, if he ends up wearing the winged helmet.

Borland is a monster.

So THAT is how linebackers are supposed to play.

Iverson was a much more explosive leaper than Burke.

Iverson had several impressive dunks over bigs in his college career.  I think Burke is a great player and can get to the basket well, but I think we may be jumping the gun a little bit on that comparison.

Agree about Hightower...he is awful.

I know a guy who is good friends with Ted Hillary, who used to do a lot of B1G games with Hightower.  Hillary said a lot of Hightower's fellow officials thought so much of his abilities they called him "Lowtower".

I do not recall seeing Eddie do any games this year.  I wonder if he finally retired.  I used to cringe every time I saw him do a Michigan game....especially when on the road.

LOL at Dantonio cleaning up MSU.

He suspended Robinson for one whole play.   What a hardass!!

Yeah, that didn't look good.

Hate to see kids get injured, regardless of who they play for.

I have seen Braden in several games this year and

while he is definitely enormous and agile, the next time I see him play with a nasty streak will be the first.

Am I alone (and maybe wrong) for

wanting to see how the game would have played out differently if Harbaugh was on the U-M sideline instead of Hoke?  I dare say #2 would have left the field on a stretcher and the post-game handshake would have definitely been must-see TV.  Saturday might have been as good of a time for a less-than-classy response to the MSU thuggery as I have ever seen.

Leyland drives me nuts with his early bunts.

You especially don't do it against a crappy pitcher.  I could understand the argument if we had JV on the mound against CC, but not tonight when runs are likely to be plentiful.  That move is going to cost them.

I live in the Rockford district and have seen Braden

play several times.  I completely agree with your assessment.  His size is legit and I think he has room to carry 20+ lbs more without much problem.  His tenacity does seem to be a bit lacking, but competition level may have something to do with that.  Unfortunately, the remaining games on Rockford's schedule are with the bottom three in the OK Red.  I'll be curious to see if the level of intensity increases come playoff time.

I am friends with one of the GRC assistant coaches

and he told me that MSU is still in the picture with Harris, but he is far from the "MSU Lock" a lot of MSU fans think he is.  My friend said the ND game really left an impression on Drake.

Brown may be the sleeper recruit in the class so far.....

at least as much of a sleeper as a 4* can be anyway.  I'm excited to see that athleticism at the DE position.

Mateen Cleaves makes me want to

jam ice picks into my ears.

I know I didn't vote for him.

I voted Henton, Kearney, Brundidge in that order.   Anderson's numbers weren't that great considering the level of competition.  I can't see him being a huge contributor at MSU next year.

Freddie and the Seven Dwarves

I still have my jersey from that team.  Tony, Scott, Mark, Eric, Gerard, any of you guys out there?

Generally, a 1-3-1 is more effective when

you have a lot of length on the perimeter to prevent the long cross-court and skip passes and are able to close out on shooters better.   The 1-3-1 is very easy to attack when you can go over the top of it.

I work with a guy who is good friends with a prominent

Big 10/NCAA basketball official.  Even other officials know that Hightower is awful.  In fact, some of the other officials refer to him as "Low tower".  How that guys continues to get prominent gigs is way beyond me.  He has been awful forever.

They generally have games running on the big screen

at CP.  The screen is in a good spot near the entrances to Mantis and M-Force.

Why would TP come to Michigan

just to be 2nd string?  : )

I'd be willing to bet a

I'd be willing to bet a healthy sum of money that RR has a few plays drawn up with two QBs on the field at the same time.  Makes me drool thinking of the possibilities.

Only got a 7.5 from the

Only got a 7.5 from the Russian judge.

Saltillo, Mexico

If your travels ever take you to Saltillo, you must stop at this little place called Casa del Caballo....and no they don't serve horse meat.  I've had the best brisket and ribeye at that place.

Keep in mind

that AA Pioneer and EK are two of the six largest high schools in Michigan with enrollments of 2600 or so. Inkster's enrollment is around 1100 and they play two divisions lower. They weren't exactly playing the little sisters of the poor. EK is one of the better teams in arguably the best conference in the state, the OK Red, which includes defending state champs in Div 1 (Rockford) and Div 2 (Muskegon).
