1 week 4 days ago freddymercuryhayes, are you

freddymercuryhayes, are you dburk002 on wolverinenation? i just read a post in their peppers visit thread that is almost word for word what you wrote

1 week 4 days ago from what i remember, he

from what i remember, he visited psu for a little longer than jalen tabor was at michigan.  very, very quick.  seemed to like it, but i'm not too worried about it overtaking michigan.  especially since i think he has a better relationship with all the coaches, brady hoke can be the father figure he says he wants out of a coach (at least as much as BOB can), and mattison is much more attractive than psu's DC.  i've heard this psu visit will be overnight, so he can get the full experience.  most people seem to think it's a check to make sure visit, so he can commit to michigan shortly afterwards

4 weeks 1 day ago you can say what you want to

you can say what you want to about their defense, but dantonio and narduzzi have essentially built perennial top 5 defenses out of 2 and 3 star recruits (with a few exceptions).  their defenses are always good, and i expect that to be no different this year.  let's not get ahead of ourselves, especially since we really don't know how our OL will gel as a whole, how Borges' play calling will go, or who, if anyone, will really step up at RB.  one or more of those pieces missing and msu's 'average' defense will be very effective against us

5 weeks 3 days ago The funny part about that

The funny part about that picture is that lewan should have been called for holding both of them (not sure if he was).  but hey, it happens.  still looks awesome, like both of those poor fools from nebraska don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting by him, no matter how far around him they thought they ran

6 weeks 3 days ago i would disagree with that.

he's more under the radar, because he was believed to be focusing on lacrosse (and already commited to ND) before this.  you can bet if he had offers from hoke/mattison and urban that he's a high level prospect, regardless of what his rankings say.

that having been said, i like berger better for that SAM spot because hubbard is a man-child already (6'6" 225lb), and will likely outgrow the SAM spot soon.  a college S&C program practically guarantees he gets up to the 250's or even 260, so he'll likely be on the DL in a few years.  we need SAM strictly

6 weeks 3 days ago selfish!!

you only need one of those locks he's holding for your my little pony.  what about my my little pony?

6 weeks 3 days ago NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

i guess we still have joe bolden with long hair.  every defense needs 1 clay matthews looking dude.  at least.

and fwiw, sampson got his hair cut off THEN lost all his strength.  then got it back for a brief second after he was enslaved to bring down a building on his enemies (and himself).  karma's a b****

9 weeks 3 days ago No DB averages?

It might take a little longer to see,  but DB averages should probably look like 5'11"-6'0" and 180-190lbs in a few years.

and happy with the wide receivers too!  last few years the averages were probably close to 5'10"-5'11" and 180-190lbs (which is what the DBs hopefully will look like)

given enough solid recruiting classes, hoke and company will transform this roster into beasts.  i have no doubt michigan will have a strong, physical, perennial top-10 defense for years to come!

9 weeks 3 days ago Vincent Smith

Does anybody know what smith ran in the 40?  Seems like he could have close to a Tay Odoms time (which I believe was a hair under 4.4 last year) if he didn't stand up straight so damn quickly.  still probably a solid time though

11 weeks 6 days ago when is the voting deadline?

when is the voting deadline?

13 weeks 6 days ago I wouldn't be looking too

I wouldn't be looking too much into a commitment the weekend they visit.  While Cole has expressed the most interest, it's still early in their recruitment.  Cole and Scott obviously like Michigan, but are from a long way away.  The commit-a-palooza last year was from mostly Detroit and Midwestern guys if I remember correctly.  Could be one or two exceptions to that.  Highly unlikely Michigan lands one or both of the package deal this early-which is not to say they don't have a good shot at ultimately landing one or maybe both of them.  Campbell is another guy I'm excited about, but I think the coaches would be hesitant to take his committment so early.  Even if he did, it's a LONG way to go until 2015 signing day.

13 weeks 6 days ago I was always a little nervous

I was always a little nervous about his redshirt.  I read on elevenwarriors recently (they posted a link to Rich Rod's press conference at the Gator Bowl) saying that Rich Rod, when asked about Denard's health, said something to the effect of "Devin is ready to go if Denard can't."  So even though he did have some sort of back injury, the extent of which is unknown, this makes it seem like he was fine by the end of the year, and didn't play because of the coaches decision.  Which makes me skeptical.  That having been said, his redshirt senior year is vital to Shane's adjustment and development to being ready for college.  He would fare no better than Bellomy if rushed into action now.  He has a bigger arm than Russell but that's about it at this point.

14 weeks 3 days ago Was about to post the exact

Was about to post the exact same thing.  I think he was measured at a camp this past summer at something like 6'1" and change.  Definitely not taller than 6'2".  It's a shame because that almost 3 inches of height can really determine how much weight he can pack on without losing speed.  That being said, I think he'll be a good player for michigan down the road
